* AnAesop: No-one should force a person into becoming something they don't want to be, as well as the circumstances of how you became what you are not defining you. It's what you do that matters.

* SadisticChoice: Nat is forced to betray her previously stated position on not forcing people to be something without their consent, but it's either subject them to the random effects of terrigen or let Ultron kill all humans.

* AnAesop: No-one should force a person into becoming something they don't want to be, as well as the circumstances of how you became what you are not defining you. It's what you do that matters.
* AsYouKnow: The episode begins with the Avengers recapping everything about the Inhumans for anyone who missed the previous episode. Oddly, this has Hawkeye, who ''wasn't'' there, doing so to the Avengers who ''were''.
* BadassInDistress: Ultron managed to capture the entire Inhuman royal family off-screen.
* EarlyBirdCameo: As the Terrigen mists spread across the world, [[ComicBook/MsMarvel one young woman with a lightning bolt shirt]] is surrounded and cocooned.
* NoBodyLeftBehind: Ultron's plot ends with him being atomized, though Tony and Sam are pretty unsure it's killed him for good.
* PerpetualFrowner: Black Bolt, as usual, is all scowls, though given Ultron's conquered his city and kidnapped his wife, he's got a pretty good reason. The end of the episode has him break out a smile, though.
* PutOnABusToHell: Seeker is zapped by Ultron's device. Ultron's wording implies it hasn't actually killed him, but regardless Seeker's never seen again.
* SadisticChoice: Nat is forced to betray her previously stated position on not forcing people to be something without their consent, but it's either subject them to the random effects of terrigen or let Ultron kill all humans.
