** On Normal, the giant eagle doesn't qualify. On Hard and Insane, however, it takes very little damage from your attacks. Instead, you must wait until a flashing exclamation mark (signalling a nearby mountain peak) appears and position yourself in front of it, then fly out of the eagle's way when it dives after you so that it hits the mountain.

** Boss 19 has you stand on a platform over lava, giving you much less dodging space. However, the platform can and has to be moved, as the boss moves around the arena. Oh, and this boss is Insane-only. Have fun.
** The TrueFinalBoss, the Kraken, can only be hit in the eyes and only with pre-placed energy cannons at that. After a wave of bullets, the Kraken will slam you with its tentacles, which is all kinds of bad, unless you shield the base. Firstly, this attack deals RIDICULOUS damage, easily a OneHitKill by itself, and even if you survive without the shield pickup, the Kraken FULLY HEALS itself!! Good. Luck.

** The 8th boss has the ability to heal itself massively unless you walk over specific points on the map (that have timers displayed), but destroying it quickly enough can prevent this stage from occuring.

* The sequel has quite a few nore:
** Boss 5, "Shieldy", has a DeflectorShield that lasts until a number of Mooks are destroyed. The shield can be re-instated as well.
** Boss 8, the giant brain, is protected by a colored barrier that blocks all damage unless you pick up a marching colored orb. Said orbs are given to you randomly, but also appear in lines spanning the horizontal length of the map.
** Boss 9, the giant cyclops, is best attacked in the eye, which is lowered each time the boss tries to hit you with his fist. Said fist, however, can be attcked as well.
** Somewhat like the above, boss 10 (the giant armored lizard) attacks you while ImmuneToBullets until it breaks off its armor and attacks you with the plates, then re-forms the armor if not destroyed quickly enough.
** Boss 11 can't be attacked until you lure the guardian robot into a glass "cage" and is only exposed for a few seconds at a time before the robot is released and has to be lured to the other side of the map.
** Boss 12 has an attack that can OneHitKill you unless you save the shield powerup until just before the attack.
