* In "Scooby's Night with a Frozen Fright", when Scooby and the gang are following the professor as they think he's connected to the Caveman Scooby tries to sneak up on him but gets buckets on his legs and covered up by the trap giving him away. So, the professor runs and hides behind a door. The gang follows him, Fred opens the door, ''and sees the Caveman roaring at him!''

Fred is the one who opened the door not Scooby Doo.

** The gang goes back to tell the doorkeeper what they've found. As Daphne tries to shake him awake, his head falls to the side and they realize he's a puppet. The effect is creepy in a way that's hard to describe. In fact, it actually scares Freddy! He's usually unflappable but when the doorkeeper's head falls to the side:
--->'''Freddy''': (suddenly stuttering) I-uh-he-he's a puppet too!
--->'''Shaggy''': (puts a hand to the side of his face) That's it for me fans! (Tries to take off.)

* As a whole, CBS rejected the show's original presentation art (under its working names ''Who's Scared?'' and ''Mysteries Five'') because it was loaded with Nightmare Fuel. It was CBS children's programming head Fred Silverman who told Joe Barbera to give the show a comedy slant.
