** After being shown an alternate reality where he [[ForWantOfANail decided to]] ''[[ForWantOfANail ask]]'' [[ForWantOfANail Chloe why she'd been so distant lately]], Goh is given a chance to take a crack at it himself. And fails. Repeatedly. When he screws up one scenario so badly that she flees, he resorts to Gengar dragging her back while she screams and flails, and then tries convincing Zeno that ''this is better''.

Basically, we're talking ''Franchise/SilentHill'' but on a train, and with [[EverythingsBetterWithPenguins the occasional penguin]].

* Once Parker [[MyGodWhatHaveIDone realizes what kind of harm he's caused]], [=UnChloe=] tries to push him into [[KillEmAll killing everyone]]. His wish for her to get a taste of her own medicine causes her to burn alive -- but instead of screaming as she's consumed, she merely stands there [[DeathGlare glaring out at everyone]].

* The sheer scope of AdultFear that is in this story, with the B-plot heavily focused on Chloe's parents and Goh worrying about Chloe's whereabouts, and several characters bringing up the worst-case scenarios in response. Even once they do catch up with the reader and learn about the train, this only serves to make them ''more'' worried about her chances of survival. It's hard to sleep at night when you learn a train with a murderous cult on it kidnapped your daughter and won't let her go until she's learned some random lesson about herself. Even worse is that many of them blame themselves for this predicament: it's one thing of Chloe being taken by the train but even more when you're one of the sole causes for it.

** Amelia gets a dose of AdultFear when she sees a picture of Hazel from "The Debutante Ball Car" with 337 on her hand...and realizes that Hazel was one of her experiments in creating Alrick aka ''a denizen'' and that Grace and Simon will kill her if they realize the truth.

** The AdultFear situation with Goh goes full circle, as Ms. Roycewood, after getting angry at the reveal Goh destroyed his Mew tracker, reveals herself to be EvilAllAlong before knocking Goh out and taking him elsewhere...

* Goh's punishment dives into SurrealHorror in the vein of ''Series/WandaVision'', Sion Sono films (''Film/SuicideClub'' and ''Film/StrangeCircus''), and [[Wrestling/BrayWyatt WrestleMania 36's Firefly Funhouse Match]] as he meets his own counterpart [=UnGoh/Zeno=], who attempts to teach him empathy through a series of very brutal performances:

* We finally see Walter and Henry's monster forms, and they are ''horrifying'', with Walter effectively becoming ''Silent Hill in boss form''.

** To fight off the Lysandre nightmare, Hop ''returns to Delirium'' and is having so much fun ripping the nightmare apart with his tentacles, he almost ''succumbs to it again''.

* The summary of this being influenced by ''Silent Hill'' wasn't kidding. There's always this dread of something creeping up at you, lingering in the back of your head as you dread what is going to come next. Arc 2, which is '''the''' Silent Hill influenced arc already has a lot of terrors that make you question who is going to leave with their sanity intact.

** Alain's FreakOut when he finally wakes up as he refuses to open his eyes.

** To fight off the Lysandre nightmare, Hop ''returns to Delirium'' and is having so much fun ripping the nightmare apart with his tentacles.

* Alain begins having a nightmare thanks to Simon's awakening as Destruction, causing him to affect the apartment around him. An apartment where ''Hazel and Tuba'' are still inside...
* Just imagine yourself in Hazel's shoes for a minute: you hear something happening at night, and one of your caretakers goes outside to see what's going on. Not only do they ''not'' come back, but the apartment you're staying in begins ''contorting and mutating'' for seemingly no reason at all, and the only person with you is a Purple gorilla that, while tough, is way out of her leage in dealing with these abominations.
* We finally discover what it would take for Chloe to become Lady Destiny: all she has to do is accept her destiny as the savior of the Car. In other words, ''what she's been doing all this time''.
* The part ends with Chloe, fully exhausted after her fight with Delirium, being kidnapped by Destruction, who's not only ''just'' transformed into a being who desires to... well, destroy everything, but who has a notable beef with her...

** Chloe has to utter Ash's name to get Delirium to snap and he ''does''.

** We finally discover what it would take for Chloe to become Lady Destiny: all she has to do is accept her destiny as the savior of the Car. In other words, ''what she's been doing all this time''.
** The part ends with Chloe, fully exhausted after her fight with Delirium, being kidnapped by Destruction, who's not only ''just'' transformed into a being who desires to... well, destroy everything, but who has a notable beef with her...

** The chapter ''starts'' by Chloe and Hop entering a HauntedHouse that ''recounts events from Chloe's past''.
** Sometime after that, not only do we have Henry and Walter sleeping together, but Dream walks up to them and they provide comfort. It's meant to resemble a scene of a child coming to his parents after a bad... well, dream, but the context is just ''so wrong'' that it's impossible not to feel horrified.
** Paul, as Despair, not only finds himself on the ''receiving'' end of an ElectricTorture by Simon, who's left Hazel and Grace alone, but the madman then demands him to tell him everything he knows.
** Amelia and Lexis are investigating the Cage of Flauros, and the former discovers that if the ritual goes as planned, not only will the components turn into monsters, but they'll ''hunt down the Apex'' until there's nothing left, and only then is it all but implied that they'll straight up ''die''. The ritual has to be stopped right here, ''righr now''.
** Back with Chloe and Hop, they go to carousel. It doesn't take long for things to go chillingly wrong as Chloe tries to make Hop come to reason, while he pulls a Parker and tunes out anything that could make him negative or feel wrong. And the carousel gets more messed up as it goes on...
*** And then Chloe has the brilliant idea to call Hop a spoiled brat. The result? '''Delirium is unleashed'''.
** Alex does an Eren Jaeger and stabs himself with his knife in order to become the Boogeyman. This alone would be awesome, but given that this come ''after'' the above moment...
