** What makes Yokai's reveal even more creepy is [[spoiler:that Callaghan had ''zero'' problems with killing his former students who he, to some level, knew of their talents. One of them, Hiro, is only a ''14-year-old boy''.]]

* The [[BigBad primary antagonist]], [[MalevolentMaskedMan Yokai]], is NightmareFuel on legs. He's a terrifying, NoNonsenseNemesis who will take ''any'' opportunity to kill those who stand in his way. He's got an intimidating design, he introduces himself by means of an UnflinchingWalk towards Hiro, he dons a nightmarish mask, and best of all, he commands a legion of black flying microbots, which he can bundle into a wave to surf on or attack people. Said swarm of microbots makes a hissing sound, to emphasize that they're, well, evil.

* [[spoiler:The fire which claims Tadashi's life, as well as most of his creations.]] Doubles as a TearJerker.

** To be fair, the void isn't a vacuum. If yoy pay attention to Hiro, you'll realize his shins were exposed the entire time.

** What makes it even scarier is the implication of Hiro's words when he orders [[spoiler:Baymax to destroy Callaghan]]. At first, it looks like that NeverSayDie is simply in effect. But really think about it. [[spoiler:"Destroy" doesn't mean "I want you to kill him." It means more "I want you to crush him until he's a bloody smear on the wall."]]

* The accident with Alistair Krei's teleportation machine. The staff ignoring an error, the machine ends up malfunctioning and taking its test subject with it, apparently killing her. [[AndIMustScream Or worse]] as for all anyone (Characters and viewers) knew, she could have been trapped in TheVoid [[note]] where in most examples, time doesn't pass and no-one can ever die [[/note]] Said test subject was [[spoiler:Professor Callaghan's daughter, leading to his StartOfDarkness and subsequent attempt of revenge.]]
