Seizuki also commented that the title could also be read as "au lait", keeping with the food theme naming of the main series (such as ''a la mode'').

!!This manga provides examples of:

* AccidentalKiss: In Chapter 5, when having moment with Aoi under the rain, Anzu slips up and grabs onto Aoi's jacket to not fall over. They end up kissing, much to their embarrassment.
* AlienInvasion: The Mews' enemies are three HumanAlien invaders who call themselves the Three Wisemen from Beyond.
* AlternateContinuity: Despite sharing the same title and premise as the original ''Manga/TokyoMewMew'', this series takes place in a completely separate continuity with an entirely different cast.
* AndTheAdventureContinues: At the end of the manga, the Three Wisemen and Dark Blue aren't a threat to humanity anymore, but the male Mews still have their powers and are sent to stop a forest fire in Kanto.
* AttemptedRape: In Chapter 22, the Three Wisemen attempt to [[MedicalRapeAndImpregnate rape and impregnate Anzu]] [[spoiler:because Dark Blue is planning to become the new Mother of Humanity after taking over Anzu's body]]. Hiroo arrives to save her before the villains go through with it.
* BedmateReveal: At the start of Chapter 21, Hiroo has a [[OrWasItADream "dream"]] where he sneaks into Anzu's bed [[spoiler:and tries to strangle her in her sleep]]. When he wakes up next morning, he freaks out at finding himself lying next to Anzy in her bed. To make the moment even more awkward, [[NotWhatItLooksLike the other male Mews walk in on them and find Hiroo on top on Anzu in bed]].
* BigDamnKiss: In Chapter 24, Aoi and Anzu share their [[OfficialKiss first kiss as a couple]] while both are watching the beautiful Tokyo scenery from the top of the TokyoTower.
* BigFancyHouse: The famous actor Ayato Roppongi lives in a large Japanese mansion. When going to visit, Anzu is shocked at how huge it is.
* {{Bookends}}: The first chapter has Anzu and Aoi meeting at a Halloween festival in the Shibuya district. The final chapter ends with Anzu, Shibuya and the other male Mews going to the same festival in Halloween a year later.
* CastFullOfPrettyBoys: Professor Natsume actually [[LampshadeHanging lampshades]] the trope by commenting on how unbelievably pretty all the male Mews are. The three HumanAliens opposing them are quite good-looking as well.
* CatBoy: Aoi Shibuya and Taichi Hiroo have the DNA of felines and they grow cat ears in their Mew forms.
* ChildishPillowFight: In Chapter 15, the male Mews have a pillow fight during the sleepover they were having to cheer up Anzu.
* ChristmasEpisode: Chapter 20 is focused on the Mews celebrating Christmas with Anzu and her aunt Natsume.
* CrashIntoHello: In Chapter 7, Anzu meets Taichi Hiroo when he crashes into her while running at full speed.
* DistaffCounterpart: Unlike the original series, all the Mew Mews of ''Olé'' are male. While not all are exact counterparts of each female Mew, some of their roles and character traits can parallel them. [[spoiler:Another example is Dark Blue, Deep Blue's female counterpart.]]
* EroticEating: In Chapter 18, Mocha suggestively eats an apricot and licks its liquid spilling on his hand, all while thinking about the time he [[ForcefulKiss forced a kiss on Anzu]].
* FlorenceNightingaleEffect: In Chapter 26, a heavily injured Latte approaches Anzu and collapses in front of her. Even though he is the Mews’ enemy, Anzu nurses Latte with a first aid kit, which results in Latte falling in love with her.
* ForcefulKiss: Mocha, one of the Three Wisemen, steals a kiss from Anzu in Chapter 16. Aoi and Kanda witness it and get jealous at another man getting his hands on Anzu.
* HairContrastDuo: The main couple is the bubbly, blonde Anzu and the socially awkward, black-haired Aoi.
* IKnowYoureInThereSomewhereFight: In Chapter 6, Anzu is captured and brainwashed by the Three Wisemen. When she's ordered to kill Aoi, he kisses her to get her to come back to her senses.
* IntangibleTimeTravel: In Chapter 10, Chai's power sends the male Mews and Anzu to Hiroo's childhood. While they're all in the form of children, they can't interact with the past and can only watch Hiroo suffering from bullying.
* KissingUnderTheInfluence: In Chapter 12, Anzu drinks a beverage made of silver vine. When she's alone in a hotel room with Aoi, he gets high on her scent because silver vine has a similar effect in cats as catnip does. Not being able to control himself, Aoi kisses Anzu and pushes her to the bed.
* LapPillow:
** Chapter 6 shows Mocha with an unconscious Anzu resting on his lap.
** In Chapter 21, Anzu passes out in the middle of an avalanche and wakes up to find herself lying on Latte's lap.
* MeetCute: In the first chapter, Anzu defends a girl who was getting harassed by some guy in the Halloween festival. Just when it looks like the guy might be dangerous, Aoi steps in to save Anzu and take her away, but him wearing a jack-o'-lantern over his head through the encounter makes it quite amusing.
* MouthToMouthForceFeeding: In Chapter 18, Aoi force-feeds water to a dehydrated Yoyogi via a kiss.
* MythologyGag:
** In Chapter 3, when looking for the fourth Mew, Anzu mentions the blue lorikeet, the finless porpoise, the golden lion tamarin, and the gray wolf. These were the animals infused with Minto Aizawa, Retasu Midorikawa, Bu-Ling Huang, and Zakuro Fujiwara in the original Tokyo Mew Mew series, respectively.
** Aoi wears a reindeer costume for the Christmas party in Chapter 20. In the original ''Tokyo Mew Mew'' anime, Bu-Ling wears a similar costume when working at Café Mew Mew during Christmas time.
** The cat plushie that Aoi gives Anzu in Chapter 24 looks like Ichigo Momomiya's cat form, right down to the bell collar. At the end of the date, Aoi puts said collar around Anzu’s neck, much like Aoyama did for Ichigo in the original series.
* OfficialCouple: Aoi Shibuya and Anzu Hinata form the main couple of the series, with their romance being a central point of the plot.
* OneCastMemberPerCover: Following the example of the original manga series, the covers of the first five volumes each feature one of male Mews; Aoi Shibuya on Volume 1, Shizuka Yoyogi on Volume 2, Taichi Hiroo on Volume 3, Ryusei Kanda on Volume 4, and Ayato Roppongi on Volume 5.
* PunBasedTitle: The title contains the Spanish word "Olé", which when pronounced in Japanese, sounds similar to the [[UsefulNotes/JapanesePronouns masculine first-person pronoun Ore]].
* SexySantaDress: Anzu puts on a Santa minidress for Christmas in Chapter 20. Aoi thinks Anzu makes for a super cute Santa.
* ShapeshifterGuiltTrip: In the FinalBattle, Yoyogi faces an octopus Chimera Anima with a shapeshifter ability. The octopus turns into Anzu and the other Mews, but Yoyogi doesn't let himself be fooled [[spoiler:until it turns into Aoi and claims to hate Yoyogi, which shakes him enough to give the octopus an opening and stab him.]]
* SwissArmyTears: [[spoiler:In the finale, Dark Blue cries at the realization that Earth loves all of humanity despite being the source of destruction and pollution. Her tears are revealed to be the miraculous Mew Aqua that releases a WorldHealingWave that stops the Chimera Anima attacking Tokyo, and resurrects Aoi, Yoyogi and the Three Wisemen.]]
* TeamShot: Once the five male Mews are gathered, they often get a page with the entire team posing after transforming for a fight.
* TeamTitle: Like the original series, Tokyo Mew Mew is the name of the AnimalMotifTeam the series is centered on.
* WallPinOfLove: In Chapter 5, while standing under the rain, Aoi pins Anzu against a wall as he tells her how jealous he is of having seeing her getting harassed by [[VillainousCrush Mocha]].
* WinHerAPrize: During the date of Chapter 24, Anzu sees a cute cat plushie in a claw crane and Aoi wins it for her in one go.
