** Late in ''Cosmo Warrior Zero'', Captain Zero is forced to navigate his ship, the Karyu, across the "Iron Ridge" nebula [[spoiler:in order to battle the BigBad alongside Harlock]]. Not only does the Iron Ridge prevent warping across itself, the magnetic storms force the Machine People in the crew to be shut down -- including the ship's doctor.
