A key component of this trope being played straight, is that the faith is ''justified''. And if so, then it might be a SeductionProofMarriage, if they're married. If the trust is mistaken, then it's LoveMakesYouDumb.

The touch of tragedy comes from the ''other'' reason she knows Kazuki's lying: she knows from firsthand experience that Kazuki is far too calm and collected to have been a rape victim.
