* Brainiac 5/Superman are a popular ship on the ''WesternAnimation/LegionOfSuperheroes'' cartoon. Brainy's [[UnwinnableTrainingSimulation simulation of]] himself dying in Supes' arms to melodramatic music (also programmed in, apparently) might have [[HoYay something to do with]] it.

** This actually became canon in the series. Second arc episodes attempted to explore their relationship, but, well, we all know how well any sort of romance turns out in regards to DC and Marvel superheroes...

** [[Film/{{Transformers}} Movie]] fandom has Bumblebee/Sam. Mikaela has also been shipped with Optimus Prime or Bumblebee. Optimus Prime/Cade Yeager is also another ship from the live action series.

** All {{Shipping}} of the Transformers with each other in general involves this by default. There were some {{Official Couple}}s between some of the male Autobots and their female counterparts in the original cartoon (Optimus Prime and Elita One, Ironhide and Chromia, Inferno and Firestar, and Powerglide and Moonracer), but much of the rest of the franchise goes with NoHuggingNoKissing. The [[ComicBook/TheTransformersIDW first]] IDW continuity also has several prominent same-sex couples such as Chromedome/Rewind, Tailgate/Cyclonus, and Arcee/Aileron.
** And of course, the Generation 1 episode "[[ExactlyWhatItSaysOnTheTin The Girl Who Loved Powerglide]]". It features a SlapSlapKiss relationship between a grouchy A-10 and a WalkingTechbane GirlOfTheWeek with a MacGuffin the bad guys wanted. (Note that this episode takes place ''after'' it was established that Powerglide was with Moonracer. Awkward.)

** For ''Film/{{Bumblebee}}'' fandom, it's Bumblebee/Charlie. Not helped by the fact much of the imagery the two share seems to be reminiscent of ''Film/TheShapeOfWater'', a love story between a woman and a FishPerson.

** All {{Shipping}} of the Transformers with each other in general involves this by default. * Alexis Thi Dang and Starscream in ''Anime/TransformersArmada''. Their mutual attraction is actually canon, but isn't pursued because a) Alexis is a small, fragile, meat-based creature while Starscream is a giant airplane man, and b) they're ''both'' too young for the story to go anywhere with it without getting uncomfortable.[[note]]As Hot Shot's {{foil}}, Starscream is intended to be the newly online rookie who's too arrogant and inexperienced to do much without someone to keep them in line. the difference is, Hot Shot has [[BigGood Optimus Prime]] as a leader and mentor, while [[BadBoss Megatron]] treats Starscream with disdain and could have had a powerful and loyal servant had he not [[KickTheDog beaten and humiliated Starscream so many times]].[[/note]]

** If it weren't a [[InterspeciesRomance giant robot woman]] and a [[NoYay ten-year-old human boy]], it would be taken without question as the day the OfficialCouple got their RelationshipUpgrade, but, well, ''they are.'' So there's the divide between those who say "that's a new one, but we all heard it" and "[[NoJustNoReaction that's just wrong, they *had* to have meant it as something platonic!]]"
** Let's not forget ''Kiss Players''. All three main "couples" are canon, to varying levels of discomfort. This was, after all, a series that the head writer made to "make jaws drop."
*** Marissa and Optimus blatantly flirt, even talking about how much they both like polishing his gear shift and scrubbing his vehicle mode (moderate).
*** Shaoshao and Hot Rod are both a bit {{Tsundere}} towards each other, punctuated by small amounts of unaddressed sexual tension like Shaoshao being angry that she "gets something" out of the deal since her prior (unknown, unreciprocated) attraction is toward Marissa (mild).
*** Atari's Autorooper partner is a horrible pervert who likes to look at her underwear and made ''lots'' of uncomfortable remarks while fighting a Legion inside her body, negging her dessert choices repeatedly. Despite this abuse, she reciprocates (CODE RED, DEFCON ONE).

** [[FoeYayShipping Megatron/Starscream]] simply because of how they bicker LikeAnOldMarriedCouple. Some even go further by having [[TheCreon Soundwave]] be thrown in for a LoveTriangle since he's the only Decepticon that Megatron is never abusive towards in stark contrast to [[BadBoss his treatment towards Starscream]].
