Tyrion ended up marrying Tysha in secret, and when his and Jamie's father Tywin found out, he had her gang-raped by a barracks full of soldiers and paid in full "for her services".

* ''WesternAnimation/TheSimpsons'': "Bart the Lover" -- see above for plot explanation; Bart sets Edna up with "Woodrow's" love notes hoping to humiliate her and get revenge for being punished.

* ''WesternAnimation/TheSimpsons'': Bart does this to his teacher, Mrs. Krabappel, in "Bart the Lover," as part of his impersonating a possible love interest, a man named "Woodrow." Edna sees hope that "Woodrow" is the man she had been seeking all along, and asks to go out on a date. Edna meticulously prepares for the date at a fine restaurant and Bart cackles evily as he sees her go inside; however, when he returns later to the restaurant, she is near tears; only then does Bart feel remorse. He and his parents – fearing the truth would hurt her more than forcing Bart to confess and accept what surely would be severe consequences – eventually writes a farewell note from "Woodrow."

This is a form of heartless PracticalJoke in which Alice thinks she has a date with Bob, but in reality it's a trick by Bob (or even Charles) and the expected outcome is anything but a romantic interlude.

* In ''VisualNovel/DanganRonpa'', [[spoiler: Touko Fukawa]] was subjected to one of these as a part of [[StockShoujoBullyingTactics the massive bullying she went through when young.]]

* ''Series/WizardsOfWaverlyPlace'' had a non-romantic example when Harper was invited to have tea with [[AlphaBitch Gigi]] and her friends, when really it was a Loser Tea to see who could bring the biggest loser. [[spoiler: This ultimately backfires as Harper discovers the truth in the middle of the tea and [[HoistByHisOwnPetard Gigi ends up]] [[CrowningMomentOfAwesome wearing the Loser Cro]][[IncrediblyLamePun wn]].]]

* In the ''Series/MalcolmInTheMiddle'' episode "Lois Strikes Back", [[TheBully Reese]] is asked out (anonymously) by someone named "Cindy" via girl named Kristen. When Reese meets up with "Cindy", it turns out she is in fact a pig and the whole date was a prank thought up by [[AlphaBitch Kristen and three of her friends]]. The rest of the episode is [[MamaBear Lois]] getting revenge on the girls.

Chris Hargensen, resident AlphaBitch and Carrie's chief tormentor, catches wind of it and together with her boyfriend Billy Nolan turn it into this as a way of humiliating her as revenge for being kicked out of the prom for the shower incident. When Carrie gets to the prom, the ballot box is rigged so that Carrie will be voted prom queen, and Chris and Billy dump pig blood on her. [[FromBadToWorse It does not end well...]]

* ''Film/{{Tamara}}'': Shawn, Patrick and Kisha arrange for Tamara to think she is meeting her English teacher ([[TeacherStudentRomace whom she has a crush on]]) at a sleazy motel, so they can video her and show the video around school to humiliate her. It turns into a DeadlyPrank when Tamara snaps and fights back; suffering a fatal injury in the ensuing struggle.

This is a form of heartless PracticalJoke in which Alan thinks he has a date with Bonnie, but in reality it's a trick by Bonnie (or even Charlene) and the expected outcome is anything but a romantic interlude.

In the RomanticComedy genre, this will lead to Alan either temporarily breaking off with Bonnie ([[BreakUpMakeUpScenario to make up later]]) or meeting Dorothy, who will be the actual romantic interest for the rest of the story.

They both return to the mall where a frat boy approaches Roger and not Hayley. Roger believes the frat boy finds him to be more attractive than Hayley, but the boy then brings Roger to a pig party at the fraternity. Roger returns home and apologizes to Hayley, and he then dresses as a frat boy and brings Hayley to the pig party as his date.

** And earlier episode features a prank date that ended with one of the pranksters killed by the mark.
