* Fanfic/ToServeInHell: The Cutie Un-Marking spell was invented to remove perceived inequalities between ponies. The resistance against Nightmare Moon discover that it has the much more useful effect of making un-marked ponies much more difficult to track using magic and unable to dream, which is useful when their enemy is a DreamWalker tyrant.

** One particularly hilarious combination requires Grafdigger's Cage, which is a card that prevents your opponent from playing cards from anywhere but their hand, so no playing a card from the graveyard, or from exile, or from their library; what they have in hand is their only option. There are several enchantment cards that prevent you from drawing a card at the start of your turn, in exchange for being able to play from the top of your library, with the caveat that you play them on yourself. There are also cards that let you swap one of your permanents with an opponent's permanent. If you manage to get Grafdigger's Cage on the field, and swap the "skip your draw phase" card to your opponent's control (with a "target opponent discards their hand" for extra spite), your opponent will be unable to do...well, anything: they can't draw a card, and they can't play a card from anywhere other than their hand, where they can't get a card. There are ways around itcard draw abilities from permanents already in play on your opponent's side, for example, but most of the time, they will be unable to actually play Magic because of the interaction.
