* Discussed in the ''Literature/NomesTrilogy'' book ''Truckers'' after one of the Nomes sees the illustration in a copy of ''Gulliver's Travels''. Masklin concludes that the most impressive thing about it is the amount of co-operation required; if a group of Nomes tried it, they'd start arguing and never get the job done. However in the second book, ''Diggers'', when the Nomes are pushed hard enough by the humans intruding on their new home in the quarry, they actually pull it off on one of the men who remains in the office overnight, using their (by their standards) SuperSpeed to successfully tie him to a chair.

* ''VideoGame/MrBones'': Mr. Bones escapes an underwater river trip but is left unconscious by the ordeal. He awakens in the Little People Village all tied to the ground because the little people suspect that he works for the Ghoulian, who already has sent spiders to their village to abduct them into slavery. They let him go when he convinces them he doesn't work for the Ghoulian and offers to help them out with the spiders.
* ''VideoGame/HauntedMuseum II'': In the Gulliver's Travels section of the amusement park, the agents come across a giant Gulliver statue laid out in the tied-down position. The clown sorcerer magically turns the statue into a manned mecha to fight the agents, causing it to rise up. As a mecha, the statue has only useful mobility, which means that the hair remains in the horizontally tied-down position. This gives it a gorgon-esque appearance.

The trope name is ''Literature/GulliversTravels'', a fantasy satirical work by Jonathan Swift from 1726 about a man who travels the globe. One of the fantasy realms he visits is Lilliput, where people are tiny (six inches/ 15 cm high) and he appears to be a giant. Despite the story seemingly at first glance to be a children's story, it also contains political commentary on the issues of the day.

A sister trope to AllWebbedUp, in which the binding is done by BigCreepyCrawlies (or sometimes SpiderPeople) rather than little people. Subtrope of BoundAndGagged, minus the gag.
