* As absolutely gut-wrenching as it is for Joe, Frank, and Fenton to have to leave the simulation and fake Laura behind, knowing they'll never see her again, it does at least give them the chance for some InUniverseCatharsis, considering they NeverGotToSayGoodbye in real life.
** Frank tells her, "You're always gonna be with me. Just not here." And when Simulation-Laura wants Joe to stay and "just let me be your mom," Joe admits he wants that very badly, but knows he can't, because their dad and his friends need him in the real world. She answers, "You're such a good kid, Joe," says the same to Frank too, wipes away their tears, and tells them to win, which they promise to do. She backs it up by drawing them a heart on a piece of paper and [[MeaningfulEcho repeating again]]: "It's our thing, right? If I don't give it to you, you lose."

** Really, Simulation-Laura in general, who's as warm and loving as the real thing was since she's created based on the memories her family has of her. At first she tries to convince the boys to stay there, but once they tell her they can't, she gives them the above encouragement. And she likewise tries to tempt Fenton to stay even as he resists, but then when he starts to waver a bit, ''she's'' the one who gives him the final push to leave, telling him he needs to learn to forgive himself for her death and start moving on, gives him a LastKiss, and promises that she'll love him forever.

* When Chet, feeling that the Eye is safer in his possession than the government's, lies to Brian about not being able to get it back, Belinda--despite being surprised for a brief second and scolding Chet in private afterwards for not discussing it with her first--immediately goes along with the claim, even to her own dad, rather than contradicting him and outing the lie. Belinda's not happy about it, but she trusts Chet enough to know he has a good reason and doesn't hesitate to have his back.

* After Brian previously accepted that he may have to face punishment for his prior involvement with Stratemeyer and was willing to do this if it meant bringing them down, it's made clear that that's not the case, as he's back to being a DSA agent full time. Furthermore, far from being a BoyfriendBlockingDad to Chet like he was at first, they seem to have become FireForgedFriends after the ending of the previous season; not only is Brian fully supportive of Chet's relationship with his daughter, but Belinda and Chet always appear at the DSA together, both working with Driscoll and Brian, and he refers to the pair of them as "my kids".

[[AC:A Figure in Hiding]]
* When Chet learns that his girlfriend Callie and Frank are planning to take the bus to Rosegrave for their visit, he immediately offers to give them a ride himself, despite it being implied to be an hour or so drive and him having no interest in the school himself, just to help them out.
* Even though Callie has every reason to want to make a great first impression because Rosegrave has always been her dream prep school, she doesn't hesitate to cause a distraction by breaking a vase, making herself look foolish and clumsy in front of the dean's secretary, to help Frank with his investigation so he can sneak into the dean's office.
* Dean [=McFarlane=], previously revealed to be Laura's ex-boyfriend, admits to Frank that he never stopped loving her. While there is of course some awkwardness around this considering Frank is Laura's son with another man, [=McFarlane=] doesn't show any bitterness to him for it, or towards Laura for ending their relationship (rightly blaming himself instead), and willingly helps Frank's investigation at personal risk.

[[AC: The Key]]
* Though things are a bit tense between Gloria and the boys after the HostageSituation is resolved thanks to having withheld vital info from each other, Gloria does gently ask Joe again if he's sure he's okay, and genuinely apologizes that the boys have become mixed up in "her problems" (the Circle), stating it's the last thing she wanted to happen. If there was any doubt before, it's also made completely clear that she was not the one who murdered her daughter Laura, since she didn't even know Laura's death was no accident until the boys tell her so and is truly shocked, horrified, and saddened to learn this, and is in TranquilFury MamaBear mode when discussing it with Kanika later.
* As Frank and Joe prepare to try the key to George's SecretRoom (which, if it's not correct, will cause an explosion destroying the whole room and possibly injuring them too), Joe expresses his concern about whether or not they should risk it, and as Frank inserts the key, he answers,
-->'''Frank''': I just asked myself [[WhatWouldXDo what you would do]].

Joe is understandably skeptical, but JB's consistent protectiveness toward him throughout this season implies he's being honest about this.

The latter mentions that their dad, who's now passed away, was a really great father to her and talked about Biff a lot, showing that he loved her even if they didn't ever know each other. ** Once the Hardy family goes back to their old Dixon City house, [[ForgottenBirthday they discover that it's Frank's birthday today]], and ask him what he wants. Frank just suggests all cooking dinner together like they used to, and asks if that's silly, but Laura assures him it's perfect.
** Laura tells Frank that she's [[SoProudOfYou so proud of what great detectives he and Joe have become]], and that if she could go back in time and do things differently, she would let them in on her investigation into the Circle, avoid antagonizing Gloria, and go to his baseball game instead.
** Joe happily describing some of their friends to Laura, saying Phil is "really weird, but really funny", and calling Callie "the smartest girl in all of Bridgeport" (and joking that she's too smart for Frank), showing once again how much he respects her despite their banter. And Frank good-naturedly agrees with this and states how cool his girlfriend is.
* Though it's also a major TearJerker, there's Joe seeing JB across the street while inside the LotusEaterMachine, shooting him a smile and a wave. The simulation is creating a place where the Hardys can get what they want the most, demonstrating that in addition to having his mom back, Joe's ideal world would also include his friend JB having survived somehow and still being out there somewhere, alive and well.
* As absolutely gut-wrenching as it is for Joe, Frank, and Fenton to have to leave the simulation and the fake Laura behind, knowing they'll never see her again, it does at least give them the chance for some InUniverseCatharsis, considering they NeverGotToSayGoodbye in real life.
** Frank tells her, "You're always gonna be with me. Just not here." And when Simulation-Laura wants Joe to stay and "just let me be your mom," Joe admits he wants that very badly, but knows he can't, because their dad and his friends need him in the real world. She responds, "You're such a good kid, Joe," says the same to Frank too, wipes away their tears, and tells them to win, which they promise to do.
** As Simulation-Laura tells Fenton that he could just forget everything he's learned and stay there with her, he tells her he doesn't want to forget their sons; he already regrets leaving them behind after her death, and doesn't want to fail to protect them now like he did with her, because he needs them too much. And in the real world, Frank and Joe hear him say all this, and each have a hand on one of his shoulders.
** Really, Simulation-Laura in general, who's as warm and loving as the real thing was.

* Practically everything about the Hardy Boys being reunited with their mom, at least until the massive TearJerker reveal later that it's AllJustADream and Laura isn't real. Starting with mother and sons having a huge GroupHug while crying TearsOfJoy.

* A mild one from Hurd Sparewell, who turns out to ''not'' be the bad guy after all: at first he's, understandably, planning to call the cops on Callie, Belinda, and Chet after the former breached security on his laptop. But then when Callie tells him "Drew told us everything," he decides to forego the police, even though he's still within his rights to have them arrested, in favor of bringing them to his office to explain who Drew really is, feeling sympathy for them as more victims of his psychopathic daughter's manipulations.
