* ''A Spooky Little Ghoul Like You'' shows Scrappy able to interpret Scooby pantomiming a message. While there was never a doubt Scooby and Scrappy cared deeply about eachother, this kind of effortless understanding is something that was unlikely to have been seen in Scrappy's earlier seasons.

** This act of kindness has the monster calling him "Mommy" for the rest of the episode (which isn't wrong, since Scooby is playing its father figure). The monster helps out by attacking the ghost, and at the end is able to escape the film and stay with Scooby, who's actually pleased with this development. It's actually really sweet that Scooby gets a son, and even though he's a monster, he doesn't mind.

* "Scoobra Kadoobra":
** When Daphne is enchanted into a slumber, Shaggy tirelessly trying everything down to tickling her feet to wake her up, sick with worry the whole time. Doubles as a TearJerker.
** Scrappy shows that he cares about Daphne when she's placed under a sleeping curse; thus making their brother-sister apprentice-mentor relationship in the previous two series all the sweeter.
** Scrappy standing up for the dragon when a censor wishes to cut out the scenes with fire.

* The gang taking a break to relax Scooby's nerves in "Ship of Ghouls" when he becomes sick with worry after too many ghosts.
* In "It's A Wonderful Scoob" despite the fact he's gone crazy there is something about ThePowerofFriendship in Shaggy standing up to Time Slime and his minions and telling him. "Mark my words Time Slime, one day Scooby Doo will return!"

** Flim-Flam and Van Ghoul have a strangely sweet tone to their own relationship, especially given Ghoul's usual coldness. Flim-Flam spends at least one episode worrying about upsetting his friend when they lose the chest, which Ghoul quickly forgives him for once they've recaptured it. Meanwhile, Van Ghoul explicitly scolds Shaggy from using calling him "Vince," but never once bothers Flim about it.

* In the "That's Monstertainment", where the crew's been sucked into a Frankenstein film by a ghost, Scooby plays Dr Frankenstein who brings a monster to life. It chases him and Shaggy, but later gets trapped under a collapsed roof. Shaggy's instinct is to run, but when the monster starts crying Scooby puts aside his fear and helps out the monster. This is what makes Scooby a LovableCoward and not a DirtyCoward.
