* The whole series finale is loaded with heartwarming, a lot of it due to people being inspired by Victor's speech.
** Lake realizes she's in love with Lucy and gets back together with her, arranging for Lucy to be able to live in her mom's apartment that she keeps in the city where she works so they can still see each other while letting Lucy get away from Creekwood and her family.
** Mia takes the leap and commits to a long-distance relationship with Andrew.
** Victor and Benji get back together.

---> '''Isabel:'''You kids are the love of my life. There is nothing in this world that is more precious to me. And I know that I didn’t make you feel that way this year — I’ll never forgive myself for that — but I accept you, Victor. I love every single part of you, and I will spend the rest of my life to make sure that you know that, okay? And if things are over with Benji, I know you’ll find the right person. Ay, not person, another young man, who is perfect for you.

* Felix being completely supportive when Victor comes out to him. Similarly, Pilar’s first reaction to Victor’s coming out is to hug him and tell him she loves him.
* Simon’s NYC friends, who are all LGBTQ, happily taking Victor under their wings and showing him how amazing life can be when you are ready to accept your sexuality. Victor saying that this trip was one of the best days of his life is so earned after seeing him struggle the whole season.
* Victor finally coming out to the family at the end of season one. It’s the first time he uses the word “gay” to label himself, and he just lets out the biggest sigh of relief after spitting the words out. Just like Simon, he gets to exhale now.
* Mia and Victor resolving to be friends again after some initial awkwardness in season 2. Bonus points for Mia acknowledging that, while Victor did break her heart, he was not in an easy situation, and being happy that he can finally be himself.
* Throughout season 2, Isabel keeps using the excuse that Adrian “is too young” for Victor to tell him he’s gay. When it can’t be avoided anymore, the family sits down and has a nice conversation with Adrian, using breakfast foods as a metaphor for figuring out your sexuality. Adrian accepts Victor, and says that he loves that he found his “French Toast” in Benji.
* Armando, in a switch from traditional portrayals in media, never makes Victor feel bad about being gay. He even goes as far as to join the PFLAG chapter in town to better understand his son.
* Pilar gives Felix the money she saved from her summer job to keep his family from being evicted. She says that she’d hate to see Victor lose his best friend, while hinting that she’d miss him to if he had to move out.
* In 2x04, "The Sex Cabin", [[spoiler: Victor, after being scared to have sex, tells Benji “I Love You” for the first time, which Benji reciprocates. Victor then initiates TheirFirstTime together. Bonus points for Victor asking Benji if he was okay before moving on.]]
* It takes nine episodes in Season 2 to reach this moment, but Isabel apologizes to Victor for her homophobia and tells him exactly what he needs to hear from his mom.

* Bonus points for her actions in the previous episode; Adrian is scared that Victor is going to Hell thanks to Father Lawrence, and Isabel comforts him by explaining that Jesus loves those with love in their hearts. You can argue that she was also talking herself into finally accepting her son for who he is.
* Andrew’s growth in season 2. He gets the basketball team to apologize for isolating Victor, gives Felix genuinely helpful relationship advice after bullying him last year, and even stands up to Mia’s dad on her behalf when he tries to move the family again after promising Mia he wouldn’t. He really has grown past the JerkJock persona he had in Season One.
** One particular shining moment is after [[spoiler:Felix breaks up with Lake]], Andrew immediately puts his own wants aside and bows out so Mia can comfort her best friend.
