* Aone's respect for Hinata, which starts from the first time they play. After suffering a surprise loss to Karasuno, Aone makes a point of shaking Hinata's hand afterwards. In the second season, he personally greets Hinata twice, and he tells Koganegawa that it isn't always the big players that are the biggest threats.

* After chapter 387, a great chunk of Kageyama's behaviour and experiences are re-contextualised. He really was going through the process of grieving alone, at home and at school, so his addition to Karasuno wasn't just great for the school's development, but for his too. He found genuine friends and a family within that club, and found the greatest rival/partner he was waiting for in the form of Hinata Shouyou. His giddiness at playing volleyball, tossing the ball to someone who could match it, the way his eyes shined, the genuine smile on his face, even the faint blush on his cheeks. After years of being alone, he finally found someone.

* After feeling down about herself as "Villager B", Yachi gathers the courage to tell her mother that she's going to become Karasuno's manager (with Hinata's help). Afterward, her mother (who's been been nudging her to become stronger and more confident in herself, albeit in an InnocentlyInsensitive manner) tears up over her daughter's growth. Later on, she helps her with her volleyball poster and hugs her when she successfully settles on a good design.
** It's just refreshing at how all it took was the two being honest with each other to resolve their issues. Especially sweet is the mom hugging Yachi.

* In a weird example, Kageyama going to Oikawa for advice. While they are rivals and Oikawa is a {{Jerkass}}, it shows that Kageyama still has a lot of respect for him and is willing to push down his pride to get advice.
** Stemming from this, Oikawa getting Kageyama to realize how selfish he was when it comes to his attack with Hinata. Coming from a person who's established to be fairly dickish to the latter, the HiddenHeartOfGold moment he shows here is both impressive and refreshing.

* Hinata's Junior High friends, Kouji and Izumi, come to watch Karasuno's match against Shiratorizawa, wishing him luck and smiling as he interacts with the rest of the team.

* Chapter 322: After a rally with Hinata, Kenma, despite being exhausted, finally admits that volleyball is fun.
* In the next chapter Kenma thanks Kuroo for having told him about volleyball.

* Hinata and Oikawa's reunion in Brazil after many years, especially since Hinata has had a hard time accomodating there.
** Instead of referring to each other like they used to (Oikawa called Hinata "Shrimp" while Hinata referred to Oikawa as "Great King"), they refer to each other by their names.

* The reveal that Kiyoko married Tanaka despite the fact that in highschool she wouldn't show any interest in him.

* Chapter 299: Tsukishima finally admitting to Kuroo that he finds volleyball to be fun. Before that, he high-fives Yamaguchi after blocking Fukunaga.

* Due to Tsukishima's needling about his past, Kageyama finally admits that the thought of making a set only to find that there's no one there terrifies him. Hinata tells him that he doesn't care; as long as Kageyama sets for him, he will be there to spike it.

* The Shiratorizawa team has a meeting some time after the match, and before it ends Ushijima goes out of his way to give advice to each and every underclassman. The other third years are surprised by how much he's observed the team. Goshiki is terrified when his turn approaches, regretting how much he's boasted about being the next ace when he still has a lot of room for improvement and he knows that there are any ''number'' of things that Ushijima could say to him right now. Ushijima's words to him? "I'm leaving the team to you." As the underclassmen show their thanks, Goshiki bawls like a baby while the other third years try to cheer him up.

** Michimiya and her friends are ecstatic that their fellow third years on the boys' team have gone the distance and will go on the biggest stage. In the anime, Michimiya calls out to them and beams when Sawamura holds up the lucky charm she gave him.
