* The main cast of ''Call of the Dead'' are probably the nicest characters overall given they're just normal people in a fantastical situation. All four actors are known for being genuinely nice people, so it's nice to have a ''Zombies'' map where the characters aren't VitriolicBestBuds.
** During the Easter egg, Nikolai finally gets some vodka! He shares it with his comrades and actually has a good time singing with Dempsey.
* Considering it's one of the worst possible kinds of zombie apocalypse, it's sweet that Misty has found Marlton, a guy she's fallen head over heels in love with (even if one must admit her options are limited).
* Given ''Mob'' establishes right off the bat that the other three hate Al, any time the player revives Al when he's been downed is a nice PetTheDog moment. Sometimes Billy will laugh at Al being harassed by numerous zombies, sometimes the others will claim they're too busy to help, but if the player does help Al, it means a lot. Sometimes the characters also snark at Al after reviving him, but several quotes have some variation of "come on, on your feet buddy" to show they're not completely heartless towards him. The other three, meanwhile, get along considerably better, sounding genuinely concerned for each other's safety throughout the game.
* In the ''Buried'' intro, Russman starts losing his train of thought and Misty begins gently trying to coax him back to the light. They're not as close as she is to Marlton, but she's still trying to help the old-timer.
* Samuel tells Richtofen that he and Russman are buddies. It's nice that Samuel was able to find a friend among Victis given Misty and Marlton both hate him.
