At the end of the third episode Tessa tells her father she doesn't intend to go to college. George is not impressed by this and the episode ends on that note like a cliff hanger. Fast forward to the end of Season 2 and she's helping Ryan pick which college he's going to while fully intending to go somewhere herself. This troper thought it was an interesting plot twist that greatly subverts expectations yet it was completely dropped without getting any reference. Unless there was something subtle I missed. Initially I thought I'd missed an episode but looking at the list it seems like I've seen them all.
