** I always interpreted as Zaraki purposely matching the level of his opponent to lengthen the fight. He seemed widely capable of withholding his reitsu to ridiculous extremes. Another plausible theory is Zaraki's powers were not nearly at full capacity due to him just pulling off his eyepatch. Perhaps, there is some delayed response of some sort. Another theory is a flaw in Zaraki's power is his dependency on it. Putting this in gaming terms, his "magic-defense" would be god awful, while Ichigo's goes to infinity+1. I'd still settle on either Zaraki was matching Ichigo or a plot hole.

* It is repeatedly stated by the other characters that Ichigo has very bad or no spiritual sensitivity. But in one of the early episodes (episode 4, with the kid in the bird), he's able to pick out a very weak spirit ribbon from a huge distance, something which Rukia had stated to be impossible, implying that he has sharper/better spiritual sense than she has. Is this just EarlyInstallmentWeirdness?

**** That fight is not QUITE as one-sided as people make it out to be. Ichigo lost the use of his arm from that attack, which is approximately half of his attack strength, and it also means that Aizen had gotten much stronger from his transformation. The bigger version didn't do anything to Ichigo because he didn't let Aizen finish shooting it in the first place. Then you have the fact that he JUST saw Aizen regenerate from a direct slash to his chest, which only left a shallow wound in the first place, in his previous form, so clearly, swinging a sword at him wasn't going to kill him. And the name "Final Getsuga" kind of implies that the next Getsuga he uses is going to be the big finish.

** Only three. Wild Mass Guessing, and I'm pretty sure that Ichigo's mother doesn't have to fight hollows for Ichigo to be a Fullbringer. Considering she was killed by a Hollow after the kids were born, its not a stretch to say that it happened during pregancy too. And finally, I don't think being a Quincy/Soul Reaper hybrid gives you the excuse to pull moves out of your buttocks.

* Ichigo's powers actually make sense in light of him being a Fullbringer. If his mom was she would've been fighting Hollows, possibly when pregnant with Ichigo, which is a prerequisite for being a Fullbringer. It could also helps explain how he keeps getting stronger as well, and gives us a possible reason why Isshin left Soul Society.

*** Regarding the increase in power, the captains and vice-captains' reiatsu was used to bring forth Ichigo's dormant powers that had been jolted awake by his fullbring training. it is unlikely that he got ALL of their power, since they are still shown to kick some ass. Also, about the "Getsuga being stronger" thing, he could have been referring to the Gesuga Tensho that ichigo used in fullbring, which probably was not as strong as his regular Getsuga.

Reading back, he and Aizen had an... interestingly suspicious conversation, and his comment that it was good that Yamamoto was going to live because there was no-one strong enough to replace him yet was... eerily disturbing. That Ginjo said that Rukia and Renji, who Ichigo trusts with his (after)life, knew all along that he was a disposable pawn to Soul Society is worse.

No. He grabs the guy by the lapel and starts yelling at him and looks like he's going to beat him to a pulp if he doesn't answer his questions! And what happens when Chad appears before him, after having been missing for so long? Joy? Relief? Curiosity? No. He starts yelling at him aggressively and seems to threaten to beat him to a pulp if he doesn't explain himself! What's going on here? Ichigo is acting like a complete psychopath.

* Can't believe anyone has not gotten this but...Ichigo gets his ass kicked multiple times during an agonizingly slow 3 year arc that we all have to sit through, all to rescue Orihime...AND HE DOESN'T TAKE ORIHIME BACK!?!
** In all fairness, no matter which world he takes her to, she'd be in danger. However, one location simply has a single Espada currently within it, while the other has, in the worst case scenario to Ichigo's current knowledge, a majority of Aizen's army, including MOST of his heaviest hitters. Even if he knew the slaughter the shinigami managed against the hollows, the place still has Aizen there. Frankly she'd be in less danger in Hueco Mundo at this point.
** She also currently has Ishida there to protect her (once he gets his hand back, of course). He's possibly the strongest of Ichigo's rescue squad besides Ichigo himself and could easily take out any non-Espada level enemies.
*** Exactly. This guy shit-kicked a Privaron, and it was implied that he was holding back for a good portion of that fight because he didn't want to waste his best weaponry. The only way Orihime is in danger is if Yammy decides to go up to the roof of the dome.
*** I'm pretty sure in his current form, it's impossible for Yammy to get up there. But if he starts destroying the dome, Ishida's pretty fast, and could probably quickly clear himself and Orihime out of the way before serious harm was incurred.

* Does anybody else think that Hollow Ichigo isn't exactly evil? (At least, by Bleach standards.) Ok, let's look at the first time he gains control of Ichigo's body. He taunts him. Renji and Rukia taunt him. That's pretty much the only negative thing he does. Now, of course, some people argue that he tried beating Byakuya because if Ichigo dies, he dies. Ok. Hollow Ichigo doesn't want to die. Moving on, the only other time we're pretty sure he's in control was when he attacked Hiyori. Of course, he doesn't say any dialogue, so we really can't be sure. Ok, so Hiyori has been trying to kill Ichigo - you can't really blame the guy for fighting back. I argue that Hollow Ichigo hasn't taken control of Ichigo's body since- Uber Hollow was just berserker.
** Ranji and Rukia taunt him. Urahara and his shop attendants taunt Renji by calling him a freeloader. Hichigo wants to eat Ichigo's soul, whatever that means. Ichigo knows it best, and by the time he met the Vizard, he was scared shitless to use his Bankai because the Hollow would eat his brains. Giving Ichigo the benefit of the doubt and starting from the premise that it isn't just an irrational fear, that thing must do really nasty stuff in him. Also, without Ichigo to stear him, he would have ate Ichigo and Zangetsu. Also, cut back to how Hollows are created and to Orihime's brother, then to how Hollows Squick evolve and how most Espada become. Not... evil...?

* What bugs me about Ichigo is his Bankai. I mean, it's cool, it's awesome, but I don't see how he is going to get more powerful with it, it's weak and it's stuck with low power level. So what happens next? Kubo throws all powerups in form of hollow upgrades? he already did that twice now, and the latest form was a creepy killing machine. My theory is that his bankai is fake. Yes, and my argument to support it is that both Ichigo and Renji got their bankai through the same process (those dolls Urahara made) and they were the first ones to actually try that. Besides, both of their bankai suck in terms of power. Ichigo never defeated anybody (important) with his bankai only (even his first battle using bankai was interrupted by his hollow form) and neither did Renji (he actually defeated a weak arrancar but that's it) while real captains don't even need a hollow form to obliterate Espadas. You can argue that Captains have more experience with all those years training, yes but Ichigo is supposed to be stronger than them in some point (remember Captain Unohana's words). As for Renji, and the rest of the nakama too, I think they are beginning to suffer from chronical Main/CantCatchUp syndrome, and if my theory is wrong, i dont see how Renji would be able to power up even a little (Is he going to sit and watch the next Arc from below? Like Kuririn from Dragon Ball Z or GT? )
** Second and Third to try it actually, Urahara was the first. And it's pretty ridiculously strong when he can use it right (outrunning Byakuya's vision the first time he used it), he just keeps using it as a bigger gun rather than the fastest bankai in existance (probably because it's got a weakness in that overuse damaged his body).
*** We haven't seen Urahara's bankai for that matter either. But you have a point in saying Ichigo's bankai damages his body... although he never mentions it again, and it looks as if he would be outpowered anyway. Renji's bankai always sucked though.
** Renji didn't use the doll, he just trained in the same cave as Ichigo. Renji was already on the verge of achieving bankai, so he didn't need the doll. The reason for the shortcomings in Ichigo's bankai (and Renji's, for that matter) is that he's only had it for a few months now. According to Byakuya, it takes at least a century to become proficient with your bankai, let alone truly master it. Ichigo doesn't necessarily need yet another new form, he just needs to get stronger with what he's got.
** Acutally if I recall correctly Byakuya said it takes 10 years to learn the movment of your bankai but he did not say anything about being proficent with it or mastering it.
*** The problem with his bankai was that it wasn't fully developed, and even then it kinda sucks. Complete control over the weather? Nah, lets just take going really fast instead. That said, a possible reason for his bankai becoming less powerful is that every time he used it in the beginning, his hollow side began to take over him, plus he didn't know how to use it properly at first. Hichigo says that he was letting his own spiritual pressure crush him, which would be a side effect of his lack of kido skill, and a natural response to damage is for the body to stop doing what it was doing. Essentially, its possible that ichigo's had a psychological block to using his bankai at full power, ever since he used it the first time.
** Ichigo's bankai, when introduced, was one of the most powerful we've ever seen in the series. Being able to speedblitz an opponent who is otherwise your equal in speed? Most other bankais would lose to that simply because the fight would be over before they'd ever get used. The problem is that Ichigo went from "As fast as Byakuya without his bankai, faster than Byakuya can keep up with with it" to "below average captain speed with his bankai active and hollow mask on." Basically, Kubo gave him a huge off-screen nerf, and part of that seems to be that his bankai does literally nothing now except change his outfit.
** I actually like Tensa Zangetsu and it's WhenAllYouHaveIsaHammer power, though it would be nice if he came up with creative ways to use it.
*** Just a side note, Tensa Zangetsu isn't When All You Have Is a Hammer. It's shown to make him go faster and compresses his spiritual energy so he can put more power in his Getsugas and it causes damage on his body if he overuses it (there's a trope for this, I just don't remember which one). The real question is why is Kubo forgetting about his bankai's real power in favor of hollow upgrades. Now all we need is him to at the very least remember this for the Fullbring Arc. Oh, wait.
