* In "The Apple a Day Affair" (Season 3, Ep. 27), Illya Kuryakin bursts into a country cabin just as Napoleon Solo is to become Nina Lillette's husband in a literal ShotgunWedding. When Solo implores Kuryakin to raise an objection in answer to the minister's request to "speak now or forever hold his peace", Kuryakin proceeds to spin off a story about Solo being his "brother-in-law" and "the father of my sister's nine children", and then starts listing the children's names. He rattles off three names ("... there's Robert, and Eunice, and Edward") before being interrupted. The names of the children he mentions are identical to those of three of the nine children of Joseph P. Kennedy, Sr. ("Robert" being UsefulNotes/RobertFKennedy, and "Edward" being UsefulNotes/TedKennedy, along with their sister Eunice Kennedy Shriver). Kuryakin's attempt makes the scene especially funny given that series star Creator/RobertVaughn was active in Democratic Party politics and a good friend of the Kennedy family.
