** They stumble trying to decide how to introduce Sluckbo, settling on "Our number one replacement".
*** Lani cares about Sluckbo... but he would rather win. Her title as their "favorite daughter" ends with a question mark.

The Team Four Star Nuzlocke playthroughs have proved greatly successful and funny to the point that a separate page has been set up for them.

[[folder:TFS Plays - ''Pokémon Leaf Green - Nuzlocke Edition'']]
* Throughout the series they becoming increasingly dismissive of commentators trying to give advice or slam them for their decisions. They also stop saying which site they're using for reference material due to hard-core players chewing them out for not using ''their'' favorite, instead claiming it's "your site of preference" or similar.
* Lani, Grant, and Kirran decide to play the game in [[SelfImposedChallenge Hardcore Mode]] (every fainted Pokémon is LostForever, and you are only allowed to catch the first one you encounter in a new zone). They then contemplate the horror of losing in their very first battle, which is a real possibility thanks to the RandomNumberGod.
-->'''Lani:''' Oh my god, just think. If we lose here, we are DONE.
* Kirran mentions the method of using the last digit in the character's randomly generated trainer ID to decide which starter Pokémon they will choose, which leads to [[ThisIsGonnaSuck much groaning]] when they discover their first Pokémon is [[spoiler: Charmander.]]
* The group goes with the time-honored tradition of naming the rival something derogatory for shits and giggles. In this case, [[spoiler: Nutsack.]]
* After getting access to their first set of Poké Balls, the group encounters their first catchable Pokémon. Deciding to play it safe, they use their starter's basic non-STAB attack to avoid excessive damage that will potentially lose them their first catch of the game. Cue the [[OneHitKill critical hit.]]
* The team captures a Rattata and initially plan to name it "Ratattack". However they flub the first letter as an "S" and gleefully go with the joke suggestion of [[ToiletHumor Scatattack]].
* After nearly three episodes of pure grinding, TFS takes on [[WarmUpBoss Brock]]. [[spoiler: It goes poorly as their team gets dominated. They get smacked hard by the [[RandomNumberGod RNG]] resulting in Striker (Charmeleon) being the SoleSurvivor.]]
--> '''Lani:''' Next stop, [[ThisIsGonnaSuck the water gym!]]
** Comments on each video claim it could have been avoided had they gone with [[spoiler:Charmeleon use Metal Claw rather than holding him back]]. Several episodes later they bring up the deluge of comments and calmly reply they're all ''wrong''.
** [[spoiler: As the first victim, Ydrib gets a ReallyDeadMontage.]]
* Since Episode 5, Lani, Kirran, and Grant have tried to introduce themselves by modifying their names to sound like the names of well known Pokémon. Most of the time, [[HilarityEnsues it goes poorly, especially for Kirran.]]
* From Episode 8 on, there has been a lot more grinding and idle chatter than the focused story play of the first few episodes. Some of the topics are... [[SeinfeldianConversation unusual.]] Like when TFS starts trading [[ItMakesSenseInContext personal ghost stories.]]
* Before entering Mt. Moon, TFS buys a [[TheLoad Magikarp]] from the wandering salesman. Throughout their battles following they are continuously fantasizing about all the different ways Gyrados could be made even more awesome. The favorite theory so far is that they could teach Magikarp waterfall and have it climb to the top of the Dragon's Den in ''VideoGame/PokemonGoldAndSilver'', thus completing the rite that makes it the dragon of legend.
** They name the Magikarp Wanda in an unspoken tribute to ''Film/AFishCalledWanda''. Several episodes later they note people missed the reference and assumed she was named after Creator/RondaRousey. They accept this and start referring to her as Wanda Rousey.
* Upon entering Mt. Moon for the first time, TFS captures a Geodude and adds him to the party. After some discussion, they name him Dwayne in honor of The Rock Creator/DwayneJohnson, which leads to many [[LargeHam glorious]] moments of Geodude being declared "The most ELECTRIFYING contender in POKE-ENTERTAINMENT!"
** Later, in Episode 21, TFS decides to shelve Dwayne for their run through the Rock Tunnel, along with their Fearow Alex. They then state that Dwayne is taking a break from his wrestling career to make movies, and Alex is joining him to make a Buddy Cop film.
* In Episode 11, TFS has finally made their way to the final battle of Mt. Moon, where they earn one of two Pokémon fossils before exiting to Cerulean City. As they finish, Kirran has a bout of FridgeLogic:
-->'''Kirran:''' [[HeelRealization Aren't we really the bad guy here?]] I mean there's this guy who has been down here who knows how long, who found these fossils through his own hard work, and along comes this punk kid who says 'Hey. Gimme one of those fossils', and the guy's like, 'No man, I found these', and then the kid says, 'I'll fight you for them', and he says, 'Okay.'
** Which makes a previous comment about post-battle winnings HilariousInHindsight, because TFS had reasoned that what they were really doing was mugging their defenseless opponents with the Pokémon they used to defeat them.
* In Episode 12, they talk about their first experiences recognising voices from different series. For Grant, it was [[WesternAnimation/TinyToonAdventures Buster Bunny]] and [[Series/TalesFromTheCrypt The Crypt Keeper]].
* In Episode 14, they have their third encounter with Nutsack, followed by the gauntlet of trainers on the Nugget Bridge that culminates with a Team Rocket encounter. Before the fight, when the TR member attempts to persuade Lakigr to join his team, TFS displays a great deal of frustration that the game [[ButThouMust won't let them say 'Yes'.]]
** They speculate that Nutsack [[OffscreenMomentOfAwesome somehow beat all of the trainers on Nugget Bridge in quick succession]], then the trainers had an OhCrap reaction to seeing Lakigr [[CurbStompBattle soundly defeat]] Nutsack with no effort shortly after he got off the bridge. Then, they change their minds and decide that the trainers all let Nutsack pass through out of pity for him losing so badly to the Team Rocket Grunt. Then they guess that Nutsack actually walked past the Team Rocket Grunt saying, "Smell ya later!" and the trainers were all impressed by his attitude.
* In Episode 14 Wanda finally evolves into Gyarados. They are suitably happy when they send it out to decimate a trainer's Rattata.
-->'''Kirran''': Go Wanda! ''[bestial bellow]''\\
'''Lani''': ''[Pokemon beast voice]'' Wanda!\\
'''Grant''': ''[Rattata is intimidated]'' Yeah you're intimidated! It's like "Oh Jesus!"\\
'''Kirran''': ''[beast voice]'' Wanda!\\
'''Lani''': ''[beast voice]'' Wanda bite rat!\\
'''Kirran''': ''[Rattata flinches]'' My god!\\
'''Lani''': The poor thing is just quivering in Wanda's jaw!
** A running gag from this episode forward is that Wanda isn't fighting the Pokémon - she's ''eating'' them. This eventually becomes the idea that ALL of their Pokémon are cannibals who eat every enemy they defeat. (Except Quad S, who instead lobotomizes them with PsychicPowers.)
* In Episode 15, they manage to [[spoiler:completely curb-stomp Misty]] without any trouble, which was incredibly [[{{Anticlimax}} anti-climatic]] in comparison to [[spoiler:the Brock battle]].
** Immortalized in [[http://gatesmccloud.deviantart.com/art/A-gyarados-named-Wanda-602267283 this comic]].
* When they capture a Meowth and drop it off at a daycare center, they ''immediately'' start cracking jokes about forgetting him and abandoning him there, and about "Meowthew" becoming resentful towards them for their [[ParentalAbandonment absence]] in his life once they come back.
* After deciding to kill the first Pokémon they encounter in a cave - a Zubat - they are very salty when ''good'' Pokémon start appearing.
* In Episode 23 they once again comment on the consequences of some of the attacks.
-->'''Lani''': So here, have some Acid, it's good for plants.\\
'''Kirran''': AHHHHH! THERE'S ACID ON ME! Then he faints.\\
'''Lani''': Oddish's happy little face, AHHH! AHHH!
* On reaching Lavendar City they're haunted by the spirits of their dead Pokémon, with the UI distorting and the team pics replaced with Ghastlies asking "Why Did You Let Us Die?" The episode ends with them screaming and no narration on the outro, the outro music played in reverse. Next episode the guys can't remember what happened.
** Made better by the fact that the interface changes and color inversion are references to a lesser known CreepyPasta tale about a glitched Pokemon game that results in the excessively creepy Lavender Town, from which there is no escape.
* Episode 24 sees [[spoiler:Gourdon killed by some bad [[RandomNumberGod RNG]]]] so the guys bring out Weezy. They declare it's time to #FREEWEEZY so they #FREEDWEEZY, and each mention throughout the episode has the hashtag flash on the screen with a siren going off.
** Weezy's party art is an evolving gag, starting with him smoking weed while wearing sunglasses and a trilby hat. He evolves into a Kakuna with the same hat and joint but bloodshot eyes while Beedrill has all of the above plus a dollar sign gold necklace and ''sniper rifles'' in place of his drills.
* Episode 25 has a shopping spree where they buy Hyper Beam. They plan to teach Wanda but on seeing Weezy can learn it they do it ForTheLulz. They have to buy another one so Wanda can have her "love cannon".
** A running gag from this point on is using Hyper Beam to kill Pokemon with just slivers of health left.
** HYPER BEEZY BEAM!!
** On the roof they buy drinks for a girl who gives them defensive moves. After the first one Lani wants to throw her off the roof. After the third, Lani orders Alex to fly her out over the ocean and drop her in as big a school of Tentacruels as he can find.
** While fighting a Team Rocket Grunt they use a HYPER BEEZY BEAM with special sound effects for Lani's shout and an explosion graphic.
** The episode sees them gambling to get a Dratini, hence the episode card having slot machine graphics and dollar bills floating around. Lani advises children that gambling ''obviously'' is a good way to make money or nobody would ever go to a casino. He then admits that's very bad advice for gambling addicts.
*** Lani admits he's looking up tips.
** You know some HilarityEnsues is in the works as soon as TFS lays down 30,000 Poké-dollars for coins.
* Episode 26 begins with Lanipator berating Kirran for [[EpicFail somehow losing]] '''[[EpicFail all]]''' [[EpicFail of their gambling money]] from the previous episode within the time it took for Lani to go to the bathroom. [[spoiler:They'd actually bought a Dratini and decided to waste the left-over coins for a gag.]]
** Johnnycash takes Weezy's place, so they had to #BOXBEEZY. Fans are free to start up #FREEBEEZY again.
* Episode 27 has a real CrossesTheLineTwice moment. Once they get the Silph Scope and catch a Gastly, they note how many fans were expecting them to name their Gastly after Nappa - except it's female. Who's their favourite dead lady? ''Princess Diana''. Which they abbreviate to "PRINCESS '''DIE'''". WOW.
** They're flabbergasted at how quickly a fan's correction of bad advice from another fan escalated to "drink bleach".
--->"You can't do that, you idiot. Shut the [[PrecisionFStrike fuck]] up. [[DisproportionateRetribution Drink]] [[BreadMilkEggsSquick bleach.]]"
*** This becomes a gag as the video progresses where they say they'll need to drink bleach if they mess up. This pops up every now and then in subsequent episodes as well.
*** The "Drink Bleach" RunningGag gets hilarious payoff in the sixth Fan Mail Friday when it turns out that a fan actually sent them a bottle of bleach.
** After beating Giovanni, they claim to own his casino and demand free Porygon.
* Episode 28 ends up causing the three the most stress.
** First, after Lani advises Kirran to put Sandrew out against a Koffing, [[TemptingFate Grant jokingly states that the Koffing will use]] [[TakingYouWithMe Self-Destruct.]] [[spoiler: It does. And Sandrew survives, much to the joy of Lani.]]
*** Lani declares that Sandrew is his favorite child and he would gladly protect him by shoving the others in front of a train or ''chumming'' them to distract sharks.
** Second, when they've finished everything in Lavender Town, Kirran immediately goes to take on/attempt to catch Snorlax. They send out their hard earned Dratini first, in order to paralyze it, but Snorlax [[spoiler: not only used Yawn, which put it to sleep, but almost managed to kill Dratini with one Headbutt, leaving it at 4 HP.]]
** And finally, they send out Wanda in order to combat the menace, but when the episode's outro is being given by Lani, [[spoiler: the Snorlax manages to use Headbutt, and Wanda, (who is nearly full health) drops to '''[[HolyShitQuotient 10 HP]]'''.]]
*** Given yet another wonderful [[http://gatesmccloud.deviantart.com/art/Bork-Laser-608664087 comic adaptation]].
** Early on in the episode, the group encounters a wild Cubone:
-->'''All:''' Awwwwwwwww\\
'''Lani:''' [[MoodWhiplash Kill him!]]
* Episode 29 opens with the guys screaming in terror, with ''subtitles for the screams'', streaming across the screen as it flashes between [[spoiler:Wanda's 10 HP and Snorlax's full bar]]. This repeats when Snorlax later [[spoiler:Headbutts Wanda to '''''3 HP''''']].
** After the battle ends they comment that it was kind of a dick move to make everyone wait a day to see what happened; Lani found the 5 minutes doing setup near unbearable. Then Kirran suggest having let the audience wait over ''the weekend''.
** [[spoiler:Alex's death to a ''very'' bad matchup]] is met with stunned silence as they can't wrap their heads around what happened. When another Pokemon of the same kind comes out Lani warns there will be consequences if [[spoiler:it kills Sandrew as well]].
*** The ''explanation'' for why [[spoiler:Alex died]] is also hilarious for aficionados due to KnowNothingKnowItAll syndrome being in effect. TFS concludes that Primeape got lucky with a critical hit, despite several factors also being in play: [[spoiler:Fearow being flying ''and'' normal type - meaning it has no damage mitigation against fighting types, Primape being a fighting type - giving it STAB, Cross Chop being a very powerful move, and Primeape having a ''six level advantage'']]. Really the whole match-up crosses into TooDumbToLive territory.
*** While [[spoiler:releasing Alex]] they have a black screen with a quote from Mark Twain.
** While swapping Meowthew into storage and Brandon into school they do a lot of shuffling. Rather than keeping the team lineup real time, they just plaster a giant "IGNORE THIS" sign over the team.
** They're shipping [[CrackPairing Bork Laser the Snorlax]]/[[HotSkittyOnWailordAction Wanda the Gyarados]]. Bear in mind that Bork nearly killed Wanda ''twice''.
*** HeadbuttOfLove[[LoveAtFirstPunch at First Punch]] perhaps?
** During the outro Lani can be heard wailing in the background.
* Episode 30 starts with Kirran flubbing his Pokémon name again, despite the others giving him a name ''just before the recording started''.
** [[spoiler:Alex]] speaks to them from beyond the grave, and they are happy to hear he forgives them. Then [[spoiler:Gourdon]] pipes in that they could have swapped him out earlier and they respond he ''deserved'' to die. Grant admits he barely remembers the dead Pokémon at this point.
** All three start plugging their individual Youtube channels and videos while talking about how trashy doing so would be in a video.
* Episode 32 has them debating whether to take the plunge and level Charmeleon to Charizard. They decide that the viewers want that ''[[TakeThatAudience too much]]'' and they're obliged to [[WhyFandomCantHaveNiceThings ignore them due to the hate-hate relationship that's developed.]]
** While taking Bork to the Pokémon Center for healing due to poison, they decide he's fine to walk the distance due to his high HP. They then debate touring the zoo while Bork is writhing in agony.
** While discussing the ''Dr. Strange'' trailer Lani points out Hollywood has once again forgotten not everyone in Tibet is white. The others ask what proof he has of this.
*** It's even better if the trailer itself plays in your ad break for this video.
** Gloom's drool brings up some thinly veiled innuendo, including it wanting to be covered in String Shot.
* While preparing for Koga's gym, the gang trains up all of their Pokémon who will be effective against Poison types, such as Sandrew. The first trainer they face in the gym leads with... a Drowzee.
** While battling Koga himself, Kirran erroneously believes that Koga has a Venomoth [[AdaptationDisplacement because he had one in the anime.]]
* Episode 37 starts with them starting two trainer fights in a row with Wanda at less than half health, much to the aggravation of everyone not playing. When she gets poisoned and they have to leave and run back to a center for a cure they discuss how enraged viewers would be if she died off-screen to poison. They then start plans for killing all the Pokémon in the end-game with poison.
** While fighting a Machop and Machoke they're amused by the thought that Wanda's literally drowning them, including wrapping her tail around Machoke and dragging him into the abyss.
** One of the hostages in SILPH Tower seems a little too enthusiastic about praising their products in the middle of a Team Rocket takeover. The guys decide they're in the marketing department and he's just really dedicated to his job.
** They are not fans of Mr. Mime, making mocking voices and cheering Wanda on as she eats him.
** Lani wants to imagine that after a Hypno headbutted Bork, Bork just looked at it and then German suplexed him.
* Episode 38's last five minutes has an impromptu skit involving two SILPH employees named Tanaka and Jerry. Tanaka is bitterly ranting about his life going downhill, and is grateful that Team Rocket showed up to the building having given them access.
** Singing Grimer telegrams. "[[NoIndoorVoice AH! AH! AH! HAPPY BIRTHDAY!]]"
** The President's bodyguard earns mockery for using a ''Rattata and Zubat'', convincing them he's a retarded cousin of a Team Rocket member. They just set him outside the President's office to keep him out of the way.
** Team Rocket has an abusive relationship with their Pokémon, so beating them is actually a mercy kill.
** And to end the episode, an Electrode [[TakingYouWithMe uses Self-Destruct]]...while [[ArtificialStupidity Sandrew is underground]] after using Dig.
* Episode 39 had to have the audio re-recorded due to technical issues, but they periodically give a taste of the horrible original recording, which is so bad the video distorts. They also explain at the start there was a death and tease viewers periodically on whether it's the current fight. [[spoiler:They lied; nobody died]].
** Watching themselves fumble around, they start to sympathize with viewers who complain about them being idiots.
** The President's offer of ''anything'' leads to them speculating he's going to have his daughter climb on the table so the 10-year old can fuck her.
** A conversation starts about a childhood friend who was convinced the government already had advanced technology, like Playstation 17, back when they were in middle school. This segues into him calling every major tech boom and a discussion on Ask Jeeves.
*** Ask Jeeves leads to search histories and hiding porn searches from parents. They then worry about neural chips in the future which run automatic searches from stray thoughts, like "naked grandmother".
** During a conversation Sabrina's battle sprite appears to which they literally interrupt themselves to comment on her.
** When they bring out Bill/Ted for a quick flight and have to temporarily box Striker, Striker begs not to be sent away with the crying Dwayne. They also point out Voltron's sprite appears ''very'' sad when they bring out a different electric type.
* Episode 40 starts with them capturing a Pikachu. As it's the flagship mon they decide to name him via word association with the Pokémon franchise, resulting in the name "Buttdork".
** Lani posits that Donald Duck is the Vegeta of Disney toons, [[FreudianSlip accidentally calling him]] [[ShapedLikeItself the Vegeta of]] ''Anime/DragonBallZ'' while doing so. The others then plead with him to hear a Galick Gun in Donald's voice, which Lani regretfully cannot supply.
* Episode 41 shows they've organized their boxes so the Pokémon they use most often are in a "Friends" tab, [[AndZoidberg with Voltron shoved in a corner out of the way.]] The rest are in a "Trash" folder, aside from Beezy in a "Freeb-zy" tab. Lani declares he hasn't seen any comments on the hashtag on Twitter so any activity on that front doesn't exist to him.
** A trainer uses Whirlwind to replace out Johnnycash with ''Wanda''. As they Hyper-Beam the bird down they can't help but imagine how terrified the trainer must have been to realize [[IAmNotLeftHanded they were holding back.]]
** Bork has a "dumpy" voice and talks in HulkSpeak.
** A Staryu used Recover while at full HP, earning much derision. They then froze it solid and laughed as they slowly pummeled it to death with Twister.
* The move deleter in Episode 44 is a wife beater-wearing tough guy who smacks Pokémon upside the head with a crowbar to make them forget. "Yeah I'll beat the shit of your Pokémon til they forget!" His accent gradually slips closer to Brooklyn mobster.
** The scientist who can resurrect Pokémon using fossils is the move deleter's cousin with the same accent. He can make an extinct Pokémon forget it's dead.
** Grimer is effectively their mascot and the one they capture is greeted with a scream. His name after being captured is nothing but A's and he's dumped in the Trash box.
** A Muk gives them a hard time, surviving three different attacks from Wanda. With a sliver of health left, they say they have no choice but to Hyper-Beam it down.
** Complaints starts about Pokémon anime logic, such as Oak hoping Ash'll release his Muk since it smells so bad and the loss of the episode where he captured dozens of Toros.
*** Lani points out that in one episode Ash is talking happily about how he treats his Pokémon like friends compared to the asshole Gary. Then Gary feeds his own Krabby which causes Ash to abruptly remember he had captured one in the past and forgotten it.
** A burglar with Charmander and Charmeleon either stole them from Oak or cloned them from scales Striker left on the corpses of his victims. They debate turning the burglar in but decide that leaving him without any Pokémon to defend him in a mansion filled with hostile Pokémon is punishment enough.
** Bork using Peck on a Muk thanks to Metronome is just him smacking it with his dick. He then somehow picks up and slams it down despite being liquid. When he later body slams a Vulpix, he picks it up and breaks its back over his knee like Bane did with Batman.
** The people outside the mansion must be really confused seeing random Hyper-Beams exploding out of it after some burglars and a kid went inside.
** Grant would relabel other liquids as Hyper Potions and leave them lying around. It's not his fault if some Pokémon starts foaming at the mouth after drinking Windex.
** Johnnycash hurts himself due to confusion, leading to a long line of jokes using lyrics from "Hurt" and other songs. This continues in the next episode.
* In Episode 45 Super Nerd Avery is a bronyta (Ponyta bro) with an absurdly nerdy voice. His attempt to expound on the glory of ''My Little Ponyta'' ends abruptly when they start murdering his Ponyta.
** Twister is all about hitting the other Pokémon with acorns, more specifically smacking them in the face with their nuts. There are many bad puns about this throughout the episode.
*** Discussing people saying the acorns are actually rocks, Grant admits he largely stops reading Youtube comments whenever they start correcting him.
** A comment on Ponyta being just the right height for... certain ''activities'' has Lani pointing out you'd definitely get a burning sensation. He and Grant then state that while they have nothing against such humans, some people should not exist. "As far as organic life goes, there ''is'' such a thing as a waste."
*** They state that Grimer is better than these people, ''despite evolving from garbage''.
** When Grant states they respect gym leaders, Lani responds in shock that no, they don't.
* Episode 46 has fun with Metronome, which they admit is useless but just too fun to not use. When it uses Water Sport, they imagine it's just Bork pissing all over the enemy.
** A battle between Sandrew and a Sandslash has Lani and soon the others "singing" ''[[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KkW_gXw1yok Duel of Fates]]''. The ensuing dialogue, interspersed with "keh"s, indicates Sandrew is the Anakin of Sandslash.
* In Episode 48 Lani is ''not'' happy that they're facing Moltres, a level 50 legendary ''god'', with low-40 Pokemon. The guys are absolutely tickled when [[spoiler:Wanda murders it in two moves without taking a single hit. As she eats its corpse and picks her teeth with its bones, they declare her "Wanda, Devourer of Gods"]].
** Seeing the bald and bulky biker boss, Lani says it's obviously a biker Nappa. Their banter abruptly goes quiet when his first move is a high-level Self-Destruct. As they boil away the Muk he sends out after, they wonder just how ''bad'' that would smell.
* In Episode 49 Lani points out the reason they keep using Metronome, despite the chance of Self-Destruct which terrifies watchers, is ''because'' they could self-destruct. They're fully aware it doesn't help, they just figure it's too funny to pass up.
** Grant recalls the time he head-butted his brother and made the mistake of using his ''face''. After being told he would have died young in the stone age he responds they would have taken one look at his sickly body and thrown him in the baby pit like ''300''.
** The guys are not intimidated by the ''Cool'' trainer.
** In response to the many people who have suggested type charts, Lani pretends to pull out a massive flow chart of the type advantages only to tear the entire part covering the Ice types.
** They have Sandrew Dig against Giovanni's Nidoqueen and jokingly worry it might use Earthquake. It does, carving off ''half of his health''. Their fear after the ''next'' Earthquake brings Sandrew to 27 is magnified by the return of the HP camera zoom.
* In Episode 53, the guys get into a fight with a trainer whose Chansey keeps using Minimize to up its Evasion, with Bork Laser using Double Team to do the same. Kirran then tries to use Hyper Beam, saying "Against all odds...", but it misses. He tries again. And again. Needless to say, all five Hyper Beams miss. All the while, Chansey's actual attacks also miss, making for several non-scoring rounds.[[spoiler:And then their next attack, a Body Slam, not only hits but is a OneHitKO.]]
* Back in Fuchsia City, Kirran passed by a Pokeball and said he'd only go back to get it if someone hand wrote a letter that started with the words "hey asshole". And someone did it.
** A suggestion from the chat is to kill Sandrew while Lani is away. They pass and decide to veto the second suggestion of calling him up and claiming he died as Lani is on vacation. If he were at work or defusing a bomb they wouldn't hesitate, but not a vacation.
** They decide to test the husband's acting skills, telling him he has three minutes to convince a gym leader to surrender a badge or the bomb strapped to his grandmother will explode. The resulting skit is worth a few chuckles.
* In Episode 57 they start talking about what types of milk they'd be willing to try, ranging from rat to weasel to ''spider''. This segues into a discussion of the worst experiences drinking something that isn't what they think, like week-old milk and tobacco-spit filled Pepsi bottles. Grant gets squicked out after one story and then insists they keep it going.
* Episode 58 starts with Grant acknowledging just how ''weird'' the conversation got in the last video and how bizarre it must be to people just looking at a brief summary. Since nobody sent in an interesting conversation starter, they decide to talk about how they would act as serial murderers.
** The suggestion of basing murders around the number 23, like in the movie, raises the worry of people just mistaking it for a very tasteless marketing campaign for a reboot.
* Episode 59 has them screwing around plenty, including sacrificing Meowthew to Zapdos and wasting the Master Ball on an ordinary Zubat who they put in the box labeled "Trash" and name [[TakeThatUs TakaTaka]].
** Their reasoning for sending Meowthew against Zapdos is that he needs to prove himself in combat due to spending all of his time in daycare or Trash. The traditional farewell trumpet is cut short by a chuckling Grant.
*** The new lore is that Lakigr ''kills'' all of his fainted Pokémon for being weak. He apparently has an industrial press solely for this.
** Takataka is placed in the "Friends" tab by default. They declare it tainted and abandon the dungeon crawl to go back and put him in the "Trash", all the way in the corner. They then ask fans tweet about it to Taka.
** After accidentally trying to give a full heal to Bork rather than Sandrew they speculate he would just reach out of the Pokéball, grab the bag of Full Heals, and take them all. This leads to speculation that ''none'' of Lakigr's Pokémon are under his control; he's walking around begging people not to challenge him or the monsters in his belt will erupt out and attack.
** Buttdork has no mercy for any creature with eyes; he will not rest until all eyed creatures are dead and the world is blind.
* For the finale they have a plush for four of the Pokémon, plus a Pikachu figurine with a blindfold drawn on and a {{Godzilla}} plush for Wanda. They noted she looks slightly different as pixels can't capture her true glory.
** While discussing a swap that could potentially kill Wanda, Lani covers her plushy's ears.
** Lani is ''not'' happy whenver they start moving towards the next door without healing first.
** After [[spoiler:beating Nutsack]] they demand ''he'' get in the hydraulic press they use to kill failed Pokemon.
*** The guys get a good, long laugh at how much this day must suck for [[spoiler:Nutsack]]. On hearing he needed "love and trust", Lani very awkwardly says they definitely didn't kill every one Pokémon met.
** At the end of the episode they discover that Nutsack has [[spoiler:''freed Beezy'']]!
** The final shot is a tribute to the fallen Pokémon. [[MyFriendsAndZoidberg Except Gourdon]].
* In the Mewtwo stream Kirran accidentally puts Sandrew in the Trash tab and nearly does the same with Bork. He ends up pleading with the people in chat to not tweet about it to Lani.
** Howard shows up and Kirran notes he shouldn't hand the controller over or he might kill ''another'' beloved character.
** Figuring out how to trigger Mewtwo proves far more tedious and convoluted than they expected. After many failed attempts to do it solo and find a walkthrough, they finally look up a Youtube walkthrough of how to save Lorelei.
** Using an emulator to speed themselves up, they're sprinting through an island while griping and without thinking one-shot a wild Pokémon only to think it was a shiny Sentret. They spend a good long while in silence before wailing about how it would have been perfectly legal to capture it. After much arguing with each other and chat they are relieved to learn it was just a normal one.
** A viewer suggests that it Kirran wants 6k viewers he should take his shirt off. Kirran says that's not a good idea, but advises if people want it they should check his private channel. This later escalates to him ''stripping'' at 6k viewers and then a ''lemonade [[AssShove enema]]''. [[spoiler:After capturing and releasing Mewtwo, Kirran doffs his shirt]].
*** The "drink bleach" gag makes a return, with suggestions that Kirran drink bleach if he hits 7k viewers.
** Sandrew gets dropped to ''1 HP''. Kirran is in shock for a long time and asks everyone to screenshot it.
* A preview for what's coming up opens where the Mewtwo video left off as a shirtless Kirran leaves the recording room only to be confronted by Lani. After ordering him to put on a shirt (which Kirran does between shots), Lani slaps Kirran silly for nearly killing Sandrew, putting him in the Trash, and [[TheLastOfTheseIsNotLikeTheOthers doing a good job]].
[[/folder]]

[[folder:TFS Plays - ''Pokémon Soul Silver - Nuzlocke Edition'']]
* In the premiere episode Lani attempts to time announcing the name of the Let's Play with the title card only to realize he started too early due to the cinematic playing out taking too long. He finally gives up and they just chatter about the video until it shows.
** The pneumatic press for failed Pokémon is returning!
** Their new character's name, Tantor, reminds them of alternately a battlecry or folk metal band. They crush guys on stage and bite the heads off Zubats and Squirtles, shell and all. "Jaws like a vise grip".
*** Over the course of the playthrough it's decided that Tantor shouts his name much like Pokemon.
** The listing of which starter aligns to which number goes with Lani worrying about the giggles of the others. It is indeed the worst starter, Chikorita, earning cries they might as well quit. He ends up named [[PunnyName Mr. Stake]] and they are relentless in their mockery.
*** Lani decides he's retarded with severe birth defects. It's calls are slurred and mispronounced as "muhr-stayk". They're really looking forward to the fanart.
** Abbreviated Apricorn colors are pronounced phonetically throughout the playthrough.
** Guide Gent in the second town has Master Roshi's voice and offers to show off his balls.
** Professor Oak is in trouble because Totodile is a crazy bastard and is eating his balls.
** What is the opposite of their previous rival, Nutsack? [[spoiler:Scrodum]] The new rival is compared to Kaiba, only he lacks money and compensates with even ''more'' arrogance.
** Throughout the episode, any time they pick an apricorn, one of them makes a vomiting sound when the tree spits the apricorn out.
* In Episode 2 they are nearly stunned that their first two acquisitions mirror their Leaf Green run, but then they realize that they will probably fare better this time since the first gym isn't a rock gym.
** Mr. Stake is desperate to please them, having sacrificed several motor skills just to try and say this name right. He gets slapped in response.
** They declare their level 2 crap Pitojix to be on top of the pecking order, despite being weaker than Mr. Stake.
** They almost let Mr. Stake die of poison on the way to the Pokemon Center.
* Episode 3 has them learn the advice that running increases encounter chance. Trying to walk around still causes them to get in fights so Lani declares it a lie.
** Youngster Joey calls them weak. In response they start acting in awe of his level 4 Rattata and his "top tier" strats. Its death has them "shocked" they defeated the King of Rattatas.
** A new route opens and the first Pokémon they meet is a Kakuna, while they already have a Weedle (which evolves into Kakuna). A depressed Lani demands it be killed as it has ruined the entire playthrough.
** The emulator leaves a large border of a "dark" cave visible and all three break down in laughter at the unexpected bonus to navigating.
** They create a female form of Dwayne for their female Geodude, Dwayndelyn.
** Kirran recalls the caterpillar he discovered far from any patch of grass and the deep emotional connection he felt due to its dedication. When Lani dismisses it, Kirran responds it's a better friend than either Lani or Grant.
* Episode 4 has them catching a Gastly that enjoys poking their feet and looking at the ground. This leads them to believe that in life Gastly was a monk with a foot fetish that he couldn't indulge in. He licks every enemy Pokémon, foot to head ''very'' enthusiastically. Tantor could tell him to stop, but it's not their place to judge.
** Lani calls the early game trainers losers for only having 30 pokédollars while Kirran thinks they're just beating up toddlers for their lunch money.
** They start running adverts for companies "sponsoring" their playthrough during the longer fights, such as Husky Denims and Buddy Dollars.
** Sage Edmond is in his dying moments and pleads with Tantor to spare his beloved Bellsprouts, his best friends and sole possessions. They respond by taking advantage of his poor memory to convince him they're his grandchild and bilk him out of his life savings.
* Episode 5... #[[CallBack BoxTheQueen]]
** The first fight takes about three minutes during which they chat and ignore the action. The suggestion of swapping in a Pokémon that could speed things up is shot down hard.
** The Flying-type gym being located right next to a cave filled with Rock-types seems like a poor idea in hindsight.
*** The trainers inside are real bird fanatics, offering to teach how to sex a Pidgey and being so intense they shit white goo.
* In Episode 6 they think the archaeologist they meet in the ruins is a nerdy [[Manga/{{Naruto}} Lord Orochimaru]], having apparently mistaken the ruins for a Sound Village base.
** After receiving another Egg to hatch from Elm, Tantor asks what it tastes like. The guy delivering it is less than thrilled.
** Lani starts to say that Ric Flair is still relevant only to realize to his shock that Evolution was a decade ago. His stunned voice sells it.
** Mr. Stake knows only how to love, having used all of his brain to learn that emotion.
** The battle in Bellsprout Tower was a massacre, meant to prove to the Godsprout-worshipers of their false faith by killing every Bellsprout. After Tantor defeated all the trainers, the Tower "ironically" burned down.
** Magnitude is opening a crevice in the Earth, dropping Pokémon into the depths. The entire mantle will be filled with them by the end of the game.
* In Episode 7 their Slugma is finally hatched, which they declare a little bundle of mush. They promptly name him [[MightyMorphinPowerRangersTheMovie Ivan Ooze]], their true son.
** They're only healing Mr. Stake because the police will arrest Tantor if they don't take care of him while he's still alive. His evolution is met with derision and disgust from Lani; the only real change is that he's ''louder'' now.
** Ric Flair is going to learn certain wrestling moves like Submission. Lani hopes they can find an Eye Gouge move.
* Episode 8 has the "father" Lani declare he will not tolerate failure in his son, Ivan Ooze. As he constantly misses against a Hoppip Lani starts screaming about him wasting his time going out with friends while Kirran, the "mother", tries to send Ivan to his room.
** Lani feels that Slugma needing to wait until 38 to evolve is a long time to be a disappointment.
** Hiker Anthony's offer to exchange phone numbers is said in a creepy tone with a warning he may send some "pictures" late at night.
** Lani points out that Slugma going after a Kakuna means that he's slower than something that ''can't move''. And then it's pointed out he gets a giant ''rock'' shell on evolving, so should be even ''slower''.
** After saying Mr. Stake may die due to chance Lani protests they would and have never killed a Pokemon on purpose. Meowthew was given a chance to prove his love for his father and failed. After all, what kind of cat can't kill a bird?
** One from the comments: A viewer realizes that Mr. Stakes' relationship with Tantor is the same as Abridged Trunks' with Abridged Vegeta, leading him to have Prof. Little Kuriboh ask Mr. Stakes how the training is going and Tantor to tell him to fuck off.
* Episode 9 starts with them finally getting the Zubat they needed to ensure catching a Slowpoke. After spending the back-end of the previous episode farming for one, it took another ''five levels'' for Ivan Ooze to find one. Takatakataka is too easy so they go with Manbat though they immediately want to rename him Manfruitbat.
** Using Magnitude in the well is probably going to collapse the entire cave on top of them.
** Team Rocket is trying to sell their own brand of crack, Rocket Crack, which is also the sponsor of the episode. It's good but not as much as Rocket Heroin.
** Rock Throw is just Tantor grabbing Dwayndelyn and chucking her at the enemy Pokémon.
** Their Slowpoke found at the bottom of the Well is named [[TheRing Slowmara]], bits of the tape flashing on the screen as they name her and at the episode's end.
*** Her team portrait has [[StringyHairedGhostGirl stringy black hair]] crudely drawn on it starting with the next episode.
** They declare that Rocket Exec Proton is 1) Tantor's uncle and 2) the Rocket Grunt who was guarding the President's door back in Leaf Green, seeing as both used low-level Zubats. They figure he is just really committed to Rocket's message.
* Episode 10 starts with an immediate blooper and restart when Lani starts with "Hello and welcome back to Pokémon Leaf-" *error bleep*
** An error causes the name of twin trainers to appear as gibberish punctuation. The guys panic under the assumption that Slowmara, tired of not being in the front line, is getting ready to take revenge.
** Deciding to leave the gym for the last bit of XP Pitojix needs to evolve they're ambushed by Scrodum to their surprise.
** Dwayndelyn wants to learn Self-Destruct and they ''let her learn it''. They're planning for a "Goodbye Tien" moment in the future.
** After killing Bugsy's Metapod, Tantor takes its cracked open corpse and is eating out of it on the sidelines with a spoon. Bugsy really would rather Tantor stop eating it after the fight ends.
*** Leaving the gym they finally ask why the heck the thing is filled with bizarre robotic spider platforms to move around. Lani concludes Bugsy really just likes building them; he caught some random bug types and his father gave him the Scyther, which gave him an excuse to theme his gym after bugs.
** The boss of the guy who lost the Farfetch'd in the forest is enraged that they haven't been plucked, beheaded, and put to cooking already. The assistant pleads they're living animals only for the boss to reply they're ''monsters''.
** Lani imagines that Ivan should be leaving a trail of brown behind him, as he burns everything he touches to cinders.
** Mr. Stake learns Headbutt; he doesn't need the brain cells, after all. Using it has them all yelling "MR. STAKE!" in unison. The Hoothoot they spawn via headbutting a tree spams non-attack moves for so long they're all but convinced it doesn't have ''any'' offensive moves. Her name is [=OWLYMcBEAL=] - the lower case "c" is important.
** Mr. Stake finally gets to come out again against a Mareep, where he eats lightning and craps regret. After winning, Lani tells him he did a good job and then screams at him to get back in the ball.
** They assume that failing to pay for the Pokémon daycare will get Pokémon Protective Services called on them.
** Psyduck is defeated with one turn of Razor Leaf - that means he died to ''[[WeaksauceWeakness leaves]]''. A ''fall day'' could kill him.
** Heading to the department store's basement they find drops on the ground and happily declare it free. The workers plead with them that it's their merchandise but Tantor ignores them.
* Episode 11 has the bad radio reception being due to Slowmara's attempt to come into the real world.
** After beating Camper Elliot in front of his girlfriend, they decide to bang her right in front of him; she seems amenable. Her Pikachu's use of Double Team has them worried it will be another RNG-fest.
** Naming Nidoran is done with word association. They come up with "Spoon", "Fork", and "Salad" - resulting in Saladfork. Once she evolves it'll be ''Queen'' Saladfork.
** Slipping around the trainers to save them for later is a ''Metal Gear''-level stealth mission. Never mind the trail of dead grass and Pokémon Ivan's burning form leaves.
* Episode 12 starts with the guy's annoyed with a trainer who dismisses the 28 year-old Tantor as cute and little, only to transition into horror when her name is once again glitched. As they struggle to pronounce the gibberish, the decide it's Slowmara's presence bringing horror into the world.
** What is the obvious name for Saladfork post-evolution? Saladspork.
*** If they catch a male Nidoran, they are required by law to name him Soupspoon.
** Name corruption appears on the second Beauty but not a Lass, leading to the conclusion Tantor's just getting tongue-tied around cute women.
** Lani compares Whitney to casual Pokémon trainers, like the old couple he saw in the park talking about "Stah-fish".
** Miltank spamming Stomp and causing Dwayndelyn to constantly flinch gets Lani to shouting once again. They compare it to Miltank's rendition of a riverdance.
* Episode 13 sees the guys aggravated by Tantor's mom buying them a Repel using ''their'' money. They conclude she's been laid off and Tantor's supporting her gambling habit.
** They have ''horrible'' luck with Voltorb Flip, nearly half of their games failing on the first turn. Lani thinks Johnny Game (who has worked with Johnny Starwars) purposefully designed it this way.
** The final game ends with all three yelling about Mr. Game's buillshit design.
*** The next episode starts with them declaring they went to a law office to complain about Mr. Game's bullshit games.
* Episode 14 has a somber moment when [[spoiler:Saladfork perishes against a Diglett's Magnitude 10]]. This, however, turns into GallowsHumor when it's revealed that Kirran did some... "corrections" to the "Release" prompt.
-->Terminate this Pokémon? [Yes]\\
[[spoiler:SALADFORK]] has died.\\
[[YouHaveFailedMe They will not be missed.]]
** Killing failed Pokemon is now met with an up-pitched rendition of “In the Arms of an Angel”. They also get a [[TheStinger stinger]] screen after the gameplay ends.
** After putting Slowmara in the box and taking Manbat to become Manfrutbat, they return fearing Slowmara may have killed others in the box.
** Mr. Stake isn't actually head-butting a series of Voltorbs; he's just collapsing on top of them so his head's fall drives them into the ground.
* In Episode 15 they propose Rock types should become Ground types of you beat them hard enough.
** The Magmar trainer annoys them with constant RNG spams and unexpected type attacks. On the last one they finally send out Martin to end it. [[spoiler:He’s one-shot from max health due to a crit. They are stunned into silence]].
*** Mr. Stake lacks the mental fortitude to experience sadness in the situation.
** Fans have cried foul on getting two eggs in Violet City; the guys think it’s fair game since one was received via a story event, but are willing to make an omelet instead if need be.
** As they’re struggling with catching a Stantler, Kirran starts to say just to imagine how good it’ll be against the next gym. Mid-sentence they crit and kill it.
** After the disasters of Route 35 and 36 they declare the two should be nuked and forgotten.
*** Given when their run of bad luck started, they think playing Mr. Game’s Voltorb Flip cursed Tantor.
** They use Uproar against a Snubbull only for it to immediately start using Bite, cleaving off just under half of Owly’s health with each hit. She only has 4 HP when it dies.
** Mr. Stake is too stupid to be affected by Confusion.
** Considering her name, they start imagining what Owly would be like in a court case when she triggers Uproar.
--->'''Lani''': Brbrbr… BWAAAH! BWAAAH!\\
'''Grant''': Jesus, Owly.\\
'''Lani''': It just goes on a tirade, nothing but claws and beak everywhere.\\
'''Grant''': Holy shit, this is a simple divorce court, Owly.
** After a stressful fight with a Sudowoodo, the nearby NPC comments it was fun. Lani is [[SuddenlyShouting not happy with them]].
** The name glitch strikes again, surprising them when it only hits the second name of two Beauties and is hidden off-screen. “Callie and BLEEEEHHH!”
*** The Beauties using Metronome terrifies the guys.
* Episode 16 leads off with the guys pointing out that the Eevee they can get for free required them reaching a trigger point. They are happy to lord their superior understanding of the game over the people who thought they were idiots for not getting it earlier.
** Tantor's mother calls them, drunkenly insisting she doesn't have a problem and there's no need to call his father. This repeats with the next call, where she starts complaining about Tantor's father and cries while yelling how he never loved her.
** Lani doesn't want to waste valuable video time on grinding the level of Manfrutbat; it's better spent showing them walking back and forth between towns.
** They start perving on Bill's 8 year-old sister and mocking Bill about how they got her digis.
* Episode 17 has them crushing some severely out-leveled trainers. Against each Pokémon they debate type and then decide it's simpler to just steamroll it with Owly.
** Tantor's mother sent them Tanga Berries with a note that they can make them into prison wine, just like Tantor's father. This leads to the question of whether Tantor will end up being arrested.
** Headbutt, being Mr. Stake's signature move, is moved to the first slot which confuses Lani who wanted to use it on an Abra. Instead he ends up Cutting it in half, which he notes to be disgusting.
* Episode 18 opens with a dance-off against a Team Rocket grunt, who Tantor and Mr. Stake absolutely ''crush''. He fights Tantor because he's a sore loser.
** Taking a poisoned Mr. Stake back to the Pokécenter, they imagine he's vomiting the entire way while still smiling. Nurse Joy smiles even as he vomits all over her, having seen everything already.
** Owly gets confused in the first round against a Gastly and is constnatly hurting herself, leading to complaints to the judge about their lawyer's conduct.
--->'''Lani''': You useless, fucking owl!
*** The next Pokémon uses Confuse as its first move again, leading to Lani using a word he does not take lightly: '''[[CountryMatters Cunt]]'''.
** Tantor's mom insists she is only friends with the delivery man, which causes Tantor to hang up on her in a rage.
** In the team portraits, Slowmara's white eye is replaced with a [[RedEyesTakeWarning blood red eye]] starting this episode.
* Episode 19 has them rather suspicious that the Fire Breathers practicing fire-breathing in the burnt tower might somehow be connected to its state.
** Lani compares video game characters giving you attack items to being in America: Eventually, someone's going to give you a gun.
** The episode ends with them laughing at the emulator letting them see background they shouldn't be able to in the dark gym.
* In Episode 20, they're fighting trainers in Morty's gym. They come across another trainer with a messed up name, which they've long since attributed to Slowmara and grown used to. Then the battle ends, and all the overworld sprites have been replaced with a glitchy mess.
--->''*{{beat}}*''\\
'''Lanipator:''' We need to leave. We need to leave ''right now''.\\
''[footage from ''The Ring'' plays]''
** When they face the gym leader Morty, they read his dialogue in the voice of another [[WesternAnimation/RickAndMorty Morty]].
** With a new HM move they ''very'' reluctantly take away Dwayndelyn's Self-Destruct.
** Tantor's mother calls and this time he lights into her on missing appointments with the doctor and where his sister is. The guys then start building lore about how Tantor's sister exists but they're not going to reveal who she is.
** Forced to kill a trainer's Sandslash, Lani makes himself watch so he can ready himself for what is to come. The others help by imitating Sandrew's voice.
** After evolving into Golbat, [=ManFruitBat=] is constantly screaming at the top of his lungs whenever he follows Tantor.
* Episode 21 has Slowmara hit with an Encore after using Surf. Lani muses it's too bad they'll have to keep using their ''best'' move as the Clefairy is washed into the Lake of Rage to be eaten by Gyarados, her trainer soon following.
** Sprite corruption returns after saying Slowmara's name again; they keep repeating they need to stop saying her name. The cut as they reset the emulator again plays ''Ring'' footage.
** They happily run in to fight the red Gyarados only to stutter as its first attack cleaves off half of Mr. Stake's health and their attack barely touches her.
*** The suggestion of catching the Gyarados earns shouts as all three agree none could ever replace Wanda.
** The appearance of Lance causes some hesitation only for screams to start as, after using their inventory, Slowmara glitches the entire screen in a new and more horrifying way. As they panic over the headless Mr. Stake, Slowmara replaces the entire team panel before all three sections show clips from ''The Ring''.
* In Episode 22 Lani, watching their Pokémon hurt itself due to confusion, muses all of their Pokémon seem to be self-destructive. Grant posits all of Tantor's Pokémon hate themselves except for Mr. Stake - he loves everything.
* Episode 23 has Lani saying they don't spray their Pokémon with water or yell at them to wake up - Tantor just turns on the pneumatic press and lets that sound do its job.
** They lampshade their tendency to give any character with Johnny a Brooklyn accent, all done in said heavy accent.
** Lani approves of the dress code for female Team Rocket members, ignoring comments about him being in favor of their sexist policies.
* In episode 24 they have a double battle with Lance helping them. They decide to attack his Dragonite ForTheEvulz.
-->'''Grant:''' Surprise! We're on Team Rocket!
** Scooby-Doo is either a mass hallucination or a legacy character due to the short lifespans of Great Danes, each new one being slapped until it talks. Scrappy-Doo was definitely ''not'' a hallucination.
** Tantor is a monster who has gotten away with ''literal'' murder.
** Lani quotes a show and asks people to name it. Grant then says they should name the ''wrong'' show, resulting in a surplus of hashtags ribbing each other and Kirran stepping in with a neutral "don't care" option.
* Episode 25 brings us Ivan Ooze's birthday. Grant objects, as of all their Pokémon, Ivan Ooze is the only one they've seen ''being born''. This leads to Lani proclaiming that every day is Ivan Ooze's birthday.
** And that he gets all of Mr. Stake's birthdays too.
* In Episode 26 they state that Mr. Stake's head just flails around wildly when using Magical Leaf. He's going to learn Fly eventually, and will just use his head like a helicopter prop.
** "Does Ground hurt Fire?" Cue enemy cleaving off more than half of Ivan's health in one attack.
** Shadow Ball is Slowmara showing her enemy her home dimension.
* Episode 27 has them face Pryce. Their concerns about his Piloswine [[spoiler: turn out to be misplaced with a crit knocking it out]]. It's the [[spoiler: lower level Dewgong]] that manages to [[spoiler: rip through Fleecity and Dwayndelyn to their horror]].
-->'''Kirran''': I had plans for [[spoiler:Fleecity]]! She was gonna go to Harvard!
** After coming to terms with [[spoiler: Fleecity's death]], Grant posits switching to the already-injured Slowmara. Lani objects strongly until Grant brings up two points: Slowmara won't eat a hit thanks to [[spoiler: Fleecity's death]], and '''everyone else on the team is weak to Dewgong'''.
** They send Dewgong to sleep with Slowmara's Yawn, hoping to get some free turns of safety...
-->[[spoiler: "The foe's DEWGONG used Sleep Talk!"]]
-->[[spoiler: "The foe's DEWGONG used Aurora Beam!"]]
-->'''Lani''': '''WHY DOES IT KNOW THAT?!'''
** Ivan Ooze getting buffed from Ancient Power is him going Super Saiyan; they get pumped up too. Him getting the move ahead of the Dewgong and killing it is full of edits to celebrate. When they receive their TM Tantor slaps the trainer.
** Ivan will miss his [[spoiler:sister, Fleecity]]. None of them remember who [[spoiler:Dwayndelyn]] was.
** Talking about people not getting a joke, they forget to swap their low-level Budge out from the front after starting a fight, resulting in much recrimination when it takes a heavy hit.
** The discovery that Ric Flair has hit ''Level 38'' in the school leaves them shocked. Especially given he was supposed to evolve at ''20''.
** Lani feels that Mr. Stake is ''too'' happy.
** They make a Mr. Stake and use Cut to crit-kill a Pokémon they wanted to catch. He's happy to have done his job.
** Ivan is under incredible pressure to succeed, escalating to needing to be a magic doctor who performs life-saving surgery on himself and the Presidents of Doctors before simultaneously becoming President ''and'' a Supreme Court Justice.
** Grant imagines Tantor as an adult trying to give his dissertation after getting his shit together only to randomly shout "Tantor!" during his speech. Then Mr. Stake bursts in through the wall and is used as evidence not all Pokémon are created equal.
* In Episode 28 they decide a father trainer's Pokémon is his ''actual'' child, meaning they just killed his ''toddler''. Then he wants to be their friend.
** Tantor's mother calls twice. After yelling at her the first time, he just hangs up on her without a word the next time.
** A Hoothoot appears and they send out Owly to show it the better version. When it starts Uproar, they do the same to counter its argument.
** Kirran starts yelling in Japanese again when it's time to think of a name for the Meowth they caught.
* In Episode 29 a Ledyba spamming Comet Punch is met by Lani chanting "[[JoJosBizarreAdventure Muda muda muda!]]"
** After asking why a farmer doesn't just take their sick Miltank to a Pokémon Center, they give up and stell the kids watching over it that it's going to die.
** Tantor knows the delivery guy's name because he heard his mom [[TheImmodestOrgasm yelling it]].
** A sailor asks Tantor to sing with him; the guys proceed to do so with Mr. Stake giving a cry of his name to finish it off.
** A battle between Owly and another Noctowl has the guys really getting into it, talking about the courtroom chaos that ensues. After she flubs the case Lani starts talking about how she's going to really need to pull it together in the next season.
* Episode 30 has Mr. Stake reach his final form, earning adoration from Kirran and gentle mocking from Lani. They then wonder how he climbed a ladder and decide he just reached his head up and used that to pull himself up.
** Petal Dance ending with him getting Confused seems just perfect for Mr. Stake.
* Episode 31 has Slowmara strike again, with the team party flickering and the Ring footage appearing with a cut of some fanart of her being creepy.
** Kirran wants a dating sim where Mr. Stake is a hidden dating option where every dialogue option is "Mr. Stake". Lani envisions him headbutting out of a locker as their first meeting leading to him being subject to any number of high school tropes.
** Grant recalls a year book signature he saw where they had scratched out "best friend", "good friend", and "friend" before ending with "someone I knew in high school".
** They catch a lame Tentacool and discuss what to name it. Grant's first thought is "butt", but Lani says "We can't besmirch the name of Buttdork." They end up naming it "Assgeek".
* In episode 32 they stop to have a photo taken with Slowmara out. The screen flashes to the well from ''The Ring'' and the Pokémon appear in bloody form. Afterwards Lani is ''whimpering''.
** Psychic attacks are just flooding the victim's mind with math equations and Bug-types are too simple-minded to comprehend. The quadratic equation causes Beedrill's head to ''explode''.
** Mr. Stake is like a shounen protagonist in that he loves everyone equally but it's an asexual love.
** It takes them a while to realize they loaded a save game from before the last episode.
** Kirran gets second-guessed on his decisions in a fight and complains they act the same on road trips. This leads to the guys whining like children in a car.
* Episode 33 starts with Slowmara losing half her health to a single attack, leading to some hesitation and shouts when the trainer says the fight was fun.
** Every trainer Slowmara beats, she comes for after seven days; that's why they never call Tantor. It'd be sooner, but she's ''slooooow''.
** After steamrolling the head of the Fighting Gym they mockingly ask if his master is around; they heard there was a gym fight in the area.
** Their copy of Fly is a bootleg disc the girl burned. All the subtitles are in Chinese and they have to go to a sketchy website for codes.
** Slowmara's glitch is even more bizarre this time as they turn into a translucent ghost that shifts between male, female, and something exploding as they move. Panic sets in and the sound begins to fade and distort as they realize the girl is [[spoiler:Tantor's sister, who ''became Slowmara'']]. The next episode begins with them unable to recall what happened after getting Fly.
* Episode 34 gets very sad when [[spoiler:Ivan Ooze gets killed in battle]], but Grant, Lani, and Kirran's over-the-top reactions are so hammy that it winds up becoming hilarious.
-->'''Lani:''' ''[long silence]'' [[BigNo NOOOO]]!! (''sobbing'') WHY DO THEY ALWAYS TAKE EVERYONE [[TheUnfavorite EXCEPT MR. STAKE?!]] ''WHYYYYYYY?!''
** Grant later posits that they might just not be using Mr. Stake enough, and thus aren't [[UriahGambit giving him enough opportunities to get killed.]]
** Their reactions eventually veer into the eloquent.
--->'''Grant''': Are you not happy audience? Is this what you came here for? [[Film/{{Gladiator}} Are you not entertained]]!?\\
'''Kirran''': You lust not for more blood!?\\
'''Lani''': Does the pain in our hearts somehow soothe you?
** Lani wants to kill every member of Team Rocket, imagining Tantor whipping out guns and going John Wick on them.
*** The worst part? [[spoiler:Ivan died [[RunningGag on his own birthday]]]].
** Ampharos ''wanted'' to die rather than spend the rest of its existence stuck atop the lighthouse. That's why it wouldn't accept the medicine from Tantor.
** "Who decides to be the Dunsparce trainer!?"
** They refuse to take the call from their mom, still angry about the deliveryman being their "uncle".
** They go the Safari Zone and see several Pokémon they want. Every single one of them flees; the only one they catch is a Geodude for a request they have to kill afterward.
--->'''Lani''': Safari Zone's a piece of shit anyway. Burn it down to the ground, Ivan!
** Lani wonders why Steelix is so much better than Onix. After calling Onix a piece of shit he apologizes to everyone whose favorite Pokemon is Onix, even though they're wrong.
** Tantor finally gets a Team Rocket uniform, leading to cheering and then regret that they can't keep it.
* Episode 35 has Lani declare every Team Rocket member is about to be a corpse for what they did last episode. As they discuss how hard it is to accept what happened, the team portraits still have [[spoiler:Ivan Ooze]] present.
-->'''Grant''': It's a shame we have to drown the ''whole team'' for the sins of one.
** Slowmara won't leave Tantor alone, even if she dies. She won't ''allow'' it.
--->'''Lani''': I want them to know true fear. And fear has a name and face. And stands on two feet.
** Tantor as a DJ would interview himself. "Tantor tantor?" "Tantor tantor tantor."
** This is Tantor's hero moment. Before he was just out for himself, now he's in it for ''revenge''.
** They send Budge against Petrel's team of Koffings and Weezings, Kirran chanting "Budge!" and Lani declaring "We shall not Budge" when she {{No Sell}}s a Self-Destruct.
*** If they catch a Koffing in the future, he'll be nicknamed [[PunnyName Hugo Weezing]].
* In Episode 36 their confusion with high level Rattatas continues, though like with Cross-Chop Lani now has flashbacks whenever he sees Crunch. Similar confusion/anger pops up over Scrodum's team.
** They want to share their pain with Scrodum when he once again shows up to interfere while they're dealing with Team Rocket. They have to reel back their shouts of triumph when Slowmara flinches and their one-shot on his first Pokémon is delayed.
** To get the Ice Beam TM they'll need to play Voltorb Flip, their old nemesis. They expect it will go so long that Tantor will eventually come to understand his mother's own gambling addiction.
** Koffing is happy despite being a shitty Pokémon until it evolves into Weezing and a second head starts growing on it. Then all it wants is to die.
* Episode 37 has them irritated with Oak telling them not to ride their bicycle inside when they're fighting against ''an organized crime syndicate''.
** What uses are there for hamsters? Storing [=DVDs=] in their cheeks for use as shipping packaging and using to produce Hamster Ham, the latest street drug.
** Grant doesn't speak for half the episode - he was sucked into Slowmara's upside-down dimension. They can hear him still, but it doesn't record.
*** He was on his game too - the best work they ever did, but you'd need to go into said dimension to hear it.
** Lani admits he would still lead Team Rocket on a reform platform. Kirran tears into him for this after they [[spoiler:''killed their one true son'']].
** The monsters from Slowmara's dimension are all on vacation in America. Before heading back to school they want to get in a few virgin's-first-sex murders in camping areas.
* Episode 38 sees the leader of the Team Rocket takeover defeated by Slowmara. As she came from a tape and the trainer was broadcasting on the radio, Grant tries very hard to push a "video killed the radio star" joke. Lani barely acknowledges.
** They participate in the Pokéathalon because it can be used to get the Fire Stone for Sluckbo's evolution. There are other ways, Grant just wanted to see how bad it would go.
*** It turns out their emulator does not play well with touchpad-based mini-games. They end up resorting to a mouse rather than the controller; after taking last in two of three events they boo the winner.
* Episode 39 has Kirran worry that Ninetails sucks only for Lani to tell him to shut his face. After all, not everyone can be [[spoiler:their son]].
-->'''Lani''': She's so excited that we just mutated her body.
** Their history with Dewgongs makes them uncomfortable at the prospect of making one part of their team.
** To people complaining they're using male pronouns for the female Budge, the guys angrily shout she ''identifies'' as a he.
** Lani baby-talks a Bellossom's cute sprite, saying he can't wait to pinch its cute little corpse's cheeks.
** A Seaking comes out. "Oh no! An old meme!" "Hell yeah, this... Pokémon."
* In Episode 40 Slowmara's eye transforms into a bloody mess.
** Erwin calls to tell Tantor how great he is. Lani appreciates, which makes his [[CallBack death to Slowmara in seven days]] sadder.
** Lani takes over for a rock-pushing puzzle, declaring it feels unnatural and worries it's the lead-up to a disaster. Grant muses his eleven year-old bah-bee self would have been tricked by one of the puzzles; the ability to understand block puzzles is a distinguishing feature between bah-bees and adults, like voting.
** A Swinub was hoping Tantor would be his new friend. Lani gushes over how cute it is and then tells Mancrobat to eat it.
** Lani's pissed at Mancrobat for not being Confused and ruining a perfectly good job about his idiocy. Grant then says if they followed Nuzlocke rules with losers in the Pokéathalon, Mancrobat would ''not'' be alive right now - but it was against the Olympic spirit.
* In Episode 41 Mancrobat gets praise for hitting an enemy with his wing - the simplest thing he could do. They fully expected him to run into a wall or something instead.
** They try to catch a Magikarp to not worry about it in the future but Lani is enraged when it escapes an Ultra Ball. They give it one chance to live with a Confuse Ray before killing it.
*** While discussing how Meowth broke his teeth using Bite on Magikarp, they remark that just shows how weak his Bite is given Magikarp is the Yamcha of Pokémon.
** They have a few issues with the Teddiursa that's a favorite of them. "Get in the ball, you stupid bear! I love you."
* Episode 42 sees Kirran out sick, though he's with them in spirit... inside a doll Lani's carrying with him. He's not sure on the results, but the ritual was already paid for so he's not getting a refund.
** The urban legend of bodies losing a few pounds on death being the weight of the soul disappearing only to point out it's just the feces as bowels release. Lani points out that ''is'' his soul.
** Lani reveals during high school he tried ''real hard'' to push the nickname "Lando". His current nickname is actually so popular he's called "Lani" more than by his real name.
** A Self-Destruct causes Lani some audible distress, but it works out. They then debate whether it can crit (It can.) and ask the comment section to chime in.
* In Episode 43 Lani starts chuckling when they encounter a level 3 Geodude.
** Two under-leveled campers are defeated back-to-back. They muse the first one must have been standing in the background, whispering in horror not to challenge Tantor.
** Coolhandlk evolves and they assume he must be in horror, begging to die due to mutating to have such awkward tusks.
** Mr. Stake is happy to be hit by Brine as he loves salt; he does a happy dance and throws leaves everywhere to celebrate his new friendship only for his new friend to die.
** Lani is surprised at how close they are to... the halfway point.
** Grant nearly sends Coolhandlk against a Horsea only for Lani to warn him it could have Hydro Pump so they swap out... and it uses Hydro Pump but misses.
*** The trainer claims his team is themed after ''strength'' rather than ''dragons''. Despite that both of his Pokémon are weak ''and'' evolve into dragons.
** The thumbnail showing Coolhandlk inside of a [[MightyMorphinPowerRangers Power Morpher]].
* Episode 44 has them remember they were storing a Rare Candy to use on [[spoiler:Ivan]]. Now it's sitting on a shelf next to the blank spaces where they would have put his high school diploma and Nobel prizes. He was gonna change the world!
** They spend most of the episode reminiscing and trying to recall every Pokémon that has died in their Nuzlockes. Their first visit to Lavender Town is still fuzzy.
** They have fan art of all the fallen Pokémon from their Leaf Green playthrough... on a drink coaster.
* Episode 45 has them liberally using potions on the Gym Leader; they explain it's just too difficult to grind up replacement Pokémon in terms of both time and the emotional connection.
-->'''Lani''': No blood shall be shed today but theirs!
** Lani and Grant get pissed at Clair for being a sore loser who forces them to take ''another'' test after beating her fair and square. Lani does however approve of her dress, even if it's not school-approved.
* Episode 46 has them ''attempt'' to give their honest (and cruel) answers when quizzed at the Dragon Shrine, and grow increasingly frustrated [[ButThouMust when the questioner refuses to accept]] any answers that aren't positive.
** The fact that Lance was the last person to pass the test when the guru wouldn't ''let'' them fail makes the two assume nobody else knows Whirlpool, so he was the last one to come here.
** Mr. Stake defeats a Seadra with Frenzy Plant, with Lani imagining the roots are just dragging Seadra completely underground. The trainer is in shock only for the roots to drag her under too, while Mr. Stake happily dances over the dirt where they're buried.
** Much like his real life self, Ric Flair is in retirement and only comes back for a few special events only; he's not really part of the storyline any longer.
* Episode 47 has them called back to the Dance Theater under the assumption that the Kimono Girls are calling Tantor out for a dance-off. Lani and Grant then muse on the oddness of the people they saved wanting to fight him as thanks.
** Mr. Stake is usually cross-eyed; The confusion effect actually causes him to see ''straight'' so he never misses.
** A Flareon is horrified on seeing Slowmara come out, though it barely manages to keep its head above the water.
** Coolhandlk is a DJ on the weekends - Earthquake is him dropping the beat ''and the ceiling'' on his enemy.
** Mr. Stake and Tantor do actually dance at the end of the episode.
* In Episode 48 they have a very special ball to use on the special Pokemon in the Whirl Islands... unless it does something to piss them off.
** Ric Flair ends up the HM whore to the point that they sacrifice ''Earthquake'' to learn Flash as all the other moves are [=HMs=]. They cackle at the idea of losing ''the best'' move in the game.
* Episode 49 starts with a glitch that's more funny than scary, rendering the sprites completely black and appearing to move like dancing - Tantor tap-dancing and Mr. Stake moonwalking.
** The idea of there being parents who fondly remember original generation Pokemon games leaves Grant surprised.
** The Kimono Girls return and Lani mistakenly thinks they're summoning Mothra. He revises it to "[[AquaTeenHungerForce Mega Ultra Chicken]]" after Lugia appears.
* Episode 50 has the triumphant return of Kirran to WWE shouts and cheers.
** The reason they won't capture legendaries? Nuzlocke rules require developing bonds and fondness for your Pokemon and you can't develop a connection with a ''myth'' or god that ''doesn't exist''. The only reason Grant wants to capture him is because his sprite while following is the same size as when encountered.
** Slowmara devours the soul of Lugia as the worshippers watch in terror. The Kimono Girls are in shock after watching Slowmara drag him underwater. In the next episode they imagine Slowmara now has spectral wings.
* Episode 51 they start debating if there are any moves better than Earthquake and suggest [[CallBack Flash might be]].
** Kirran points out how their hatred in the first episode for Mr. Stake has morphed into love over time, having grown into and ''out of'' their hearts. "He's like a little love tumor."
** In the first new grass of a route they encounter an Arbok, the same Pokemon that [[spoiler:killed Ivan]]. All three shriek for it to be killed.
** A psychic tries to read Tantor's mind. "Tantor Tantor Tantor..." "Man, your brain is weird."
** Their failed Pokemon are dead because of their personal weakness - it has nothing to do with bad decisions or calls on their part.
* In Episode 52 Lani admits he can only see Seaking as a vampire due to his fangs; Grant can only see him as a meme. "Fuck you, Seaking".
** After sleeping in a house with Slowmara following them, the guys are afraid the owner will be missing with Slowmara ''wearing her hair''.
** The trio geeks out at the thought of a trainer having Pokemon in the same order as the English rap intro and excitedly burst into a rendition, only to crash and burn.
