* "Pretty Woman" is a tension-filled moment, but depending on production, it also plays up the joke that Sweeney likes to take up his sweet time murdering the Judge.

** This can also cross into both heartwarming and TearJerker territory, depending on the production, as some utilize this bit to give Sweeney a PetTheDog moment.

** Johnny Depp's perfomance as [[TheStoic the oh so much stoic]] Mr. Todd is quite dark in all the film... except in those scenes, [[TheComicallySerious his usual quiet stoic nature is in extreme contrast to the cheerful and happy beach and coast scenes]]. In fact, his pose and attitude barely changes at all, always looking at the space. Stoic HilarityEnsues.

* One I remember from a (very good) local presentation is the scene leading up to "By the Sea". I can't remember the exact lines, but Sweeney says something that prompts Mrs. Lovett to respond "Oh, come on, now, we're running a perfectly legitimate business here." as she puts on a bloodstained apron. But the ''crowning'' moment of funny comes right after "Epiphany" (Sweeney's very awesome StartOfDarkness song in which he, among other things, threatens the audience).

** The entirely in By The Sea is hilarious, with Lovett being all lovey-dovey and Sweeney being completely indifferent to her (particularly in the Lansbury one, where she's dancing around, and he's just sitting and thinking)

* In the live filming, Hearn grins rather gleefully when revealing to Mrs. Lovett that Pirelli is in the trunk. It comes of as more adorable than frightening or unhinged, which is strange given the circumstances. This may be a case of {{Narm}} or maybe this Troper is just vaguely deranged.

** Is it just me, or is Lovett ''{{squee}}ing''?

** And that moment just after ''Johanna'', when he gets told to keep away from her and beaten with a cane. He comes out of the Judge's house with blood all over his face and what does he do? Start singing ''Johanna'' again. This troper never thought of him as TheDeterminator, but after this scene, revised her view.

** I'd bet Pirelli only owns the one suit -- but there's no question that he does have a spare pair of socks.

** YMMV. This troper found it all sad as hell. The man you love doesn't want to be with you, even in a dream sequence.

* After "Epiphany," Sweeney Todd is poised on the floor, having finished his song number. Mrs. Lovett just stares at him with a deadpan expression before trying to get his attention.

** Particularly amusing is how the Beadle calmly gives Anthony directions to where he was going all while literally throwing him out the door and beating him with the cane. The lines are delivered like the two just met on the street for a chat, and one wasn't comitting violent assault on the other.

* Emma Thompson in the 2014 Lincoln Center production gives Patti Lupone a run for her money as funniest Mrs. Lovett, capped off by her "By the Sea", when she ''twerks'' in Todd's general direction when she sings "unless we've got better to do-ooh".

* "By The Sea". While the song itself isn't all that funny, watch it with the visuals, and it's funny as hell. It appears that Todd doesn't want to kiss Lovett, not even in a dream sequence.

** YMMV. This troper found it sad as all hell. The man you love doesn't want to be with you, even in a dream sequence.
