** This can also be pulled off to a lesser extent with Carthaginian, Greek, and Eastern style forces, in getting peasants, militia, and basic cavalry that's shared between such similar factions. Sadly, any Barbarian faction trying to pull off this tactic will be disappointed.

* Imagine being a Roman who has saved up a boatload of money (or cheated to get it), surrounded by the other Romans, who've now turned on you, due to the Civil War, with most of your armies on the frontier, and now the other Romans are coming after your relatively lightly defended Capital cities with 20 full armies. All you have is some Town Watch, Peasants, a couple Generals, and an Ambassador. On the plus side, you got a lot of money and an Ambassador. Watch the fun that occurs as you take that ambassador around to each army -- especially those without a general, or at least one that's not the Faction Leader or Heir -- and said ambassador bribes the army to your side. It's like the other Romans are saying [[YouAndWhatArmy "You and what army?"]] only for you to say "Yours!"
