** A pair of thieves break into Ma's Diner, because it's right next door to the bank, and they hope to tunnel into it during the night, only for Ma to catch them. They manage to trick her into thinking they're from Fine Dining Magazine, and she's won a trip to Miami for a week, with them filling in for her at the diner. It would have worked... had not Monteray Jack been using Ma's pressure cooker for his special cheese chowder, which ends up attracting a bunch of cops to the diner, forcing the thieves to actually run the diner the whole time.
** The Rangers don't actually catch on to the fact that the two men are criminals until the final day, instead thinking they're merely bad cooks, and keep making new chowder at night while they're gone, inadvertenly foiling their plans.
