!!FridgeHorror:
* While there's no permanent death in this game on the player's side (any unit that would 'bleed out' and die is instead sent to the infirmary for three missions), this is the game that inspires the most horror due to the average age of the troops you command being significantly lower than the other games (For comparison, while 1, 3, and 4 have a few troops below the age of 20, in this game ''most'' troops are around or younger than 18, including all three of the main characters). Even with no casualties on the player's side, the brutal nature of a civil war is probably going to take its toll on everyone, especially since this is the game that introduced the dreaded [[NotQuiteDead Recall]] order. In order to stop the enemy from literally returning their downed troops to full health where they fell you have to actually finish them off by running one of your units up to them. In game their body simply vanishes, but what actually happens (ranging from execution to medical evacuation and interrogation) is left up in the air.
