* While the worthy passengers are able to escape their Death Date and got a second chance, they might not be totally in the clear as eleven passengers (because they failed the test) are missing in the authorities eyes and in a deleted scene the pilot suffers a mysterious and gruesome death right in front of them. The authorities won't let that slide and it is doubtful that the authorities will believed the truth on what really happened to them. At worst they are going to face a lot of public publicity and scrutiny, at worst someone is going to get in some legal trouble.

* How long was the gap between when Flight 828 took off, disappeared, then re-appeared? 2037 days, or 5 years, 6 months, and 28 days. What about the gap between Flight 828's re-appearance and the Death Date? 2059 days, or 5 years, 7 months, and 20 days. The world waited 5 1/2 years for Flight 828 to come back while the passengers jump through time in the blink of an eye in 2013-2018, but the passengers had to wait for 5 1/2 years in 2018-2024 until they're given the opportunity to go into a new timeline where the plane touches down as expected.

And his anguished cry of "Help Me!" suggests that what he saw [[GoMadFromTheRevelation was not of this Earth at all, even more, unfathomable than the main characters have seen]], or he has been punished for going through the dark lightning a second time deliberately.

Was the Death Date always meant for going through humanity, or did the dark lightning a second time deliberately.
