While this may not seem like a big deal in the context of modern comics where Cliff Steele could just get a new body after being decapitated, it should be addressed that this comic is explicitly influenced by the Silver Age and that the ''Doom Patrol'' comics of that era made it clear several times that removing Robotman's head could kill him. More than likely, the Joker ''murdered'' Cliff!
