Given timelines the man probably didn't know about Chloe's interest in the spooky before buying the known haunted house, but by the time of said event....fun angle is all I'm saying.

Added DiffLines:

** Meanwhile being stuck in a lab that Professor Cerise knew was haunted: given Chloe's style of performance at the talent show, it is entirely possible that Professor Cerise thought she'd like it more as a result. In such a scenario Gengar not actively tormenting her as much as the others prior to being captured by Ash actively scuttled any such benefits.

* It's not a coincidence that Chloe's first car was the Corgi Car. After all, what did she want to do before run away? Go back to the Institute to take Yamper -- a corgi-like Pokémon and pretty much the only one outside of Parker who gives a damn about her -- with her. The Train essentially took her into the Car equivalent to help her get adjusted to her new adventure.

* Adding to this, when does Goh finally get the lesson? When everything gets taken away from him: his GoalInLife? Tainted by the nightmares. His job as a research fellow? The Cerise Institute won't last long thanks to Parker's blunder. His self-esteem? At an all-time low thanks to, again, the nightmares. With nothing left by his side to ignore reality, Goh is forced to re-examine himself, even if it comes at the expense of his sanity.

* The narration and Chloe paint Goh forgetting about the curry promise as a sign that he was forgetting about her, but when you consider Goh's character, he'd probably forget regardless: not only were they children when they made the promise, but Goh has such a bad case of tunnel vision that when he gets focused on something, everything else ceases to exist for him. Him forgetting about the promise was inevitable. Chloe even admits that it's not really the curry but just opportunities of spending time together that she wants.

Which, again, given Goh's bad case of tunnel vision, is only possible if Chloe actively tried to make them possible.

* Parker's ultimate fate has a shade of IronicHell: Why? Because the reason people are giving him the benefit of the doubt despite his monstrous actions is because they still see him as JustAKid, the same thing that caused him to snap in the first place is also the only reason he's not getting a worse punishment.

* The flower imagery for Chloe could relate to the talking flowers from Alice in Wonderland, but why would you associate a lotus? Because aside from whimsical characters there's another thing that Alice in Wonderland is known for: drug parallels. And where is a lotus most prominent? In Literature/TheOdyssey (which Atticus was reading), where Odysseus ends up dragging his crew from eating too many lotus flowers to the point that they don't want to leave, which parallels Chloe's mindset quite nicely.
* Many of the references mentioned in the story actually parallel Chloe quite nicely. These include:
** Literature/TheEgyptGame: A group of kids are fascinated in living like Ancient Egypt all while there's fear of two children being kidnapped and murdered. Chloe is in a world of wonders and oblivious to how her friends and family are worried for her.
** Literature/FromTheMixedUpFilesOfMrsBasilEFrankweiler: The main character decides to run away from home because she's never appreciated by her parents and ends up living in a museum with her little brother. Chloe runs away and ends up on the train because her father never notices her feelings while her little brother is an accomplice by hiding her horror stories from everyone.
** Literature/BridgeToTerabithia: The female protagonist ends up dying while trying to enter her imaginary world and the male protagonist blames himself for not being there. Chloe ends up on the Train and Goh blames himself for saying something horrible and never considering her feelings.
** Literature/Stargirl: The titular girl is a Cloudcuckoolander who is shunned for eccentricities and the POV boy knows this yet is too ashamed of being looked down upon to help. Chloe is shunned and mocked at school and Goh is completely unaware of her troubles.
** VisualNovel/UminekoWhenTheyCry: Yasu aka Beatrice/Shanon/Kanon -- was always ostracized by the other servants and coped with an overactive imagination, just like Chloe. Yasu also became Beatrice the Golden Witch and Chloe herself is fascinated with witches and the supernatural. There's also a ChessMotif in the VN like in Through the Looking Glass.
** WesternAnimation/TheElectricPiper: The main focus is on Mick and Janice Dixon, particularly Mick wanting to be a musician while his father refuses to acknowledge the passion. The two eventually leave with Sly to the mountain, leaving the father to realize how horrible he is. Chloe's focus is on writing and she ran away after her father praised her for being into battling and not comfort her as she wanted and Professor Cerise keeps going into serious levels of denial.
* In the same vein, the numerous passengers that are mentioned also reflect Chloe, Lexi, or Atticus in some way.
** Jaden: He's a cheerful boy who is shown to have a (literal) darkness in him. Chloe herself hides a dark part (her macabre interests).
** Giovanni Pottage: In his show, he became a protector to Molly (who was shown to have low self-esteem and had a neglectful father) reflecting Lexi and how he keeps encouraging Chloe (who also shows off those same traits) to gain more self-confidence. The main difference is that Professor Cerise really meant well, but ignored Chloe even though it was painfully obvious she needed therapy.
** Maria Ushiromiya and Sakutaro: She's a nine-year-old girl into supernatural things, witches and demons. Chloe is also shown to have similar interests. Sakutaro (a lion) is a bright yellow partner who was Maria's first friend and ended up being killed by Rosa. Atticus is a dog with goldenrod fur and he was shot by the Conductor.
** Olivia and Bobby: She was a sweet (origami) girl who wanted to see more of the world around her, similar to Chloe wanting to explore the train. Bobby also was journeying in order to find himself (as he lost his memory).
** Owen and Anna: Owen was constantly bullied, just like Chloe, and his parents were oblivious to his suffering. He also had a dark side to him, just like Chloe. At the end of his film, Owen and Anna traveling together on a train. Chloe ends up traveling on the Infinity Train herself with Lexi and Atticus.
* Aside from the BirdsOfAFeather treatment that Chloe and Lexi have, there's another thing that binds them: Lexi is a PaperMaster whereas a motif of Chloe and her love of the macabre are based on trees.
* Chloe is into macabre stories but she dislikes being called a Princess. Translating this to Pokémon types, this makes sense; Fairy-types are strong against Dark-types.
** This also makes sense in regards to Sara antagonizing her. Her name is the Greek word for "Foxglove" and Foxgloves are full of superstition regarding TheFairFolk. Again, Fairy-types are strong against Dark-types.
* Chloe is a Libra, which is usually depicted as a set of scales. Libra is also the only Zodiac Sign not based on a human or animal, which just symbolizes how Chloe herself is different.
* While the significance of Chloe's starting number (151) is probably a StealthInsult because it's Mew's National Number, it also is important because of what it means to Mew as a whole. Mew is a Pokémon capable of transforming into other mons on a whim. Chloe herself is transforming into a brand new person.
* In Episode 11 of Journeys, Professor Cerise specifically tells Chloe to command Yamper to use Spark against Gengar. Why that move specifically? Because when Chloe tries to have Yamper tackle Gengar, it fails because Tackle is a Normal-type move and those are useless against Ghost-types. Chloe would've gone for the first idea in her head and ended up in trouble, thus making her father bring up that remark of her knowing that Tackle doesn't work.
* Why does Chloe use the Music/CreatureFeature cover of "Bury a Friend"? Aside from the band being one of her favorites, Curtis [=Rx=] changes the line from "I want to end me" to "I want to end you" which relates to how she wants to erase Goh out of her life (as it's shown that she constantly erases his messages).
** Moreover the band used to be two people -- Curtis and Eric -- but Eric left while the third album was getting produced (albeit it was a mutual understanding). This reflects Chloe and Goh's friendship in that they've been split up despite Goh insisting that they're friends.
* In hindsight, having Lexi be based on a Anime/YuGiOhVRAINS character makes sense. The main character of the show (Yusaku Fujiki) wants revenge on a group for undergoing years of torture (The Knights of Hanoi). And Specter, who he's based on, is part of those knights. And in-universe, Chloe said that the "Specter of the Black Forest" is the son of White Knight Eligos. Not to mention that the kindest character in Through the Looking Glass' is the White Knight.
* Why is Chloe annoyed at being called a princess aside from the fact that she's more into horror stuff? Because Sara calls herself a Princess; the Erlking is unknowingly comparing Chloe to her bully.
** Princesses are also born into privilege and expectation. Chloe's bullies justified their cruelty out of the assumption that she was living a charmed, ideal life as a professor's daughter; not only was that not the case, she was being crushed under the weight of everyone's expectations and presumptions about her.

** Moreover, what was the source of Goh's distrust with friendship? The assumption that Tokio broke his promise with him. What is Goh doing with Chloe? Constantly breaking promises to meet up on time.

** Speaking of Sonia, what did Sonia give to Ash and Goh? She explained the story of the Darkest Day. What did Ash and Goh not tell Chloe? The story of Darkest Day. If they mentioned that legend, it would've piqued Chloe's interest and she would've been more willing to befriend them. But of course, they talked about Pokémon, battles and curry...the things Chloe despises. Whoops.
** That again goes into the problem of PoorCommunicationKills. Chloe never gave any indication she liked that stuff so Ash, in particular, would have no reason to bring up what to him would be a minor detail between Leon and Farfetch'd. Breakdowns are a two-way street, and if even Goh didn't know that Chloe was into such things neither would see what was otherwise a minor bit of history up. No reason to talk about the history of a place after you come back unless you know the person you are talking to would find it interesting and Chloe very much did not show a lot of interest in anything to the two.

** Notably when Ash tries to get Goh to have fun he comes off like he's his mother. She's his best example of how to encourage someone.

* Goh has two things Chloe wants: attention from her Father and freedom to do whatever he likes. While he goes and captures Pokémon and is freed from classwork -- unless it's for tests -- Chloe has to endure bullying for something she doesn't have. She doesn't have her Father love her or pay attention to her. She doesn't have six monitors to search for Pokémon. She doesn't get to travel around the world without any responsibilities. Having to hear Goh scream that he has a dream while she doesn't hurts because to her, she's not allowed to have a dream. She must endure bullying and isolation while he gets away with whatever he wants.
** The world is simply one where those who have a certain interest, in this case, Pokémon training, have advantages and opportunities those who do not simply don't. The only thing that keeps Chloe at school, after all, is the fact she doesn't want to walk the earth with a Bulbasaur, Charmander, or Squirtle. There are ways that she could have probably made it work without outright battle or capture focus (think the professional eater trainers as a comparison or the ruin explorer teams). The ironic source of information of such a path would have been Ash and Goh: the very people Chloe blew off had a way for her to get out of her situation with just a bit of creativity. As is often troped a communications fallout is never one way and Chloe was trapped just as much by her own biases as those of those around her.
* Hop may be a strange choice to be with Chloe for Part 2, but if you take a look at their Pokémon (Wooloo for Hop, Yamper for Chloe) then you can recall that Yamper's Pokédex entry states that it's good for herding, especially for Wooloo.

** It may have even been a factor in creating issues with Ash and Chloe's lack of a relationship: large age gaps can make friendships a bit harder to form. It's no absolute rule, but with everything in play, it was likely a factor if nothing else.
* In a way, it's fitting that Olmec is the one who explains what happens if passengers should die, given that in his movie Olmec was once a king but sacrificed himself to save his people and became the stone head we know him as today.

* At first, Chloe and Parker liking Webcomic/Erma is due to the plethora of horror mention in it. But there's another side to Erma; she likes ponies like Parker. One arc deals with the fact that she's into Warrior Unicorn Princess and how she would be mocked if others found out about this. Parker is a My Little Ponyta fan so he would find a connection to the girl. And for Chloe, it also shows how she secretly indulges in her love of horror but has had to bury it because of everyone else's comments on it being "weird".

* Chloe's growth compared to Ash, Goh, Alain Hop, and Paul is significant. Notice their hair colors: Chloe is red, and red light travels the fastest. Meanwhile, Ash, Goh and Alain have black hair while Hop and Paul have violet: those colors travel the shortest. Chloe grows into a strong and confident girl almost immediately while those four boys don't due to their own problems (Alain, Goh, Paul) or outside forces (Ash, Hop).
** You can take a few other takes of this concept: Chloe's hair is red and travels the farthest. She's changed a lot but still has a long way to go before she's off the train and overcomes her problems. Ash's hair is pure black and he had the shortest span of development going from fully depressed to accepting his errors and bouncing back with a bit more wisdom and to his old self. Meanwhile, Goh has red in his hair so his character is still a ways away from reaching a similar state.

** No wonder Parker initially thought Chloe ran away because he 'hadn't loved her enough'. He was the only one who knew her -- including the fact that she feared that if their parents knew more about her, they'd reject her just as her peers had.
** Parker was also directly victimized during the backstage confrontation -- Sara knocked him aside with the paint can. Something else she shows absolutely no remorse for, and adding another layer of personal vengeance to his beef with her.

** While trying to appeal to their son's better nature, his parents tell him that he's better than her bullies. But Goh shares Sara's desire to punish Chloe for existing: Chloe being happy and fulfilled runs directly contrary to what they want, which makes her an enemy. Goh openly fantasizes about tearing Chloe's newfound confidence down and forcing her to 'know her place' -- that she's inferior to Pokémon -- as he connects her freedom with him losing his privileged lifestyle.
** Adding to this, when does Goh finally get the lesson? When everything gets taken away from him: his GoalInLife? Tainted by the nightmares. His job as a research fellow? ** This ends up being her undoing; she picked up Sara's habit of never shutting up, which gives Parker the courage to see what he did and make a wish that ends up killing her.

** A reader points out that it's odd that Zeno knows right away how to diffuse a situation with Chloe. Then you realize that Zeno is somewhat based on Parker and how he would've seen things done better because he had a lot of time to think about how it should've gone (given how Parker lambasted Ash for not asking someone else to give him the info needed on Chloe).

** Another thing about Zeno is that he's based on Specter (the author even said to have the voice be Billy Bob Thompson). Not only is it symbolic because of Chloe's love of the macabre, but he was also initially formed in a Create-a-Crush app to symbolize a person she wants and loves. He also was the basis for Lexi's human form, who has been a better friend to her than Goh ever had been to reflect how Chloe is better off on the Train than in Vermillion City. Moreover, the real Specter also had a penchant for mind games, breaking people and relishing in seeing his targets squirm.
** Speaking of Specter, the last time Zeno speaks to Goh is before he is buried alive. What was Specter's Ignis again? Earth. And it was when Earth died, that was when Specter showed a more empathetic side just like Zeno shows that he's not just some sadistic madman who wants to punish Goh for shits and giggles.

*** Also, what's the one thing Trip did to Ash that Chloe didn't before she ran away? He apologized and comforted him. Chloe only does the same thing long after she boarded the Train, and after shit has hit the fan.

*** ** Also, what's the one thing Trip did to Ash that Chloe didn't before she ran away? He apologized and comforted him. Chloe only does the same thing long after she boarded the Train, and after shit has hit the fan.

* Chloe's bully being named Sara has another meaning outside of a musical reference; Chloe is compared to Wirt about facing is insecurities. What got him into the Unknown? Him trying to take a mixtape away from a girl he liked. What was her name? Sara. Just like that Sara was the impetus of Wirt running away from his problems, Chloe ran away from the world and closed herself thanks to Sara's bullying.

* Throughout the Fog Car, not a single person gives a damn about Grace, even though it's she who created the Apex, she who messed up children and Simon with her lies, she who in Knight of the Orange Lily murdered a kind rabbit out of spite. And for what? To be noticed as stated in "The Origami Car". And the Fog Car is Silent Hill, a city where you're made to face your inner demons and pain and it's here when Grace must face the fact that she fucked up spectacularly and no one cares about her except how she caused so much pain and suffering.
** If we continue with Silent Hill parallels, Hazel would be Laura. Both are blond hair orphans who break upon learning a mother-figure they loved is dead all because of the actions of a male (James for Mary and Simon for Tuba). The "normal" ending of Silent Hill 2 is the one where Laura is presumably adopted by James. The end of the Fog Car has Hazel leave with Amelia.

* Trip was once a passenger on the Train and the Train was capable of going after Chloe. Does this mean that, somewhere, there are other ten-year-old kids or other characters from the Pokémon world that got stuck on the train, and their parents/loved ones don't know about it?
** Chapter 11 reveals that Tokio was sucked in as well. He was eight at the time, and wasn't a Pokémon Trainer, making him even more defenseless.
* Have other children tried to stand up against Grace and Simon before? How many children have been injured by them or by the actions of the Apex?
* The car that the Apex destroyed before Book 3's events started was The Unfinished Car, which was populated with corgis from the Corgi Car. Atticus is not going to be happy if and when he confronts the Apex about this. Especially when he learns who the Apex worshipped...To make it worse, Atticus already assumes that King Aloysius has already been assaulted. Thankfully he knows that The Unfinished Car is quarantined and thus far away from the Apex.
** Speaking of which, should The Cat appear in the story, Atticus won't be happy to find that she is the reason for Simon's hatred against denizens. After all, Atticus was mad for how The Cat worked with Amelia to save her skin, and nearly ended up killing Tulip in the Ball Pit Car so he'll be even more pissed off that her cowardice to return for Simon was what caused him to commit even more atrocious deeds.
* While it's nice that Cara survived the horrors of the Apex, she's probably one of the only few denizens who actually did.
* Chapter 11 shows how angry Chloe can be when pushed; one can only imagine how she'd end up if the Train didn't come for her when it did...
** Lexi also questions why none of Chloe's classmates aren't called in by the Train yet. But considering how high their numbers are going to be for their bullying antics on Chloe and their troubled lives -- not to mention that they themselves have no means to defend themselves -- they probably would end up even worse than Chloe since at least Chloe is in good company. And considering how they find nothing wrong with bullying Chloe, would that make them become the second Apex?
** Hardly just Chloe's classmates; the Pokémon world at large has a wide arrange of people who could easily have had points to become passengers: Paul after the Sinnoh League as he reevaluates his viewpoints, Team Rocket Trio in a crossroad of their faith in the organization, a post-Lysandre Alain...Ash might want to check his contact lists...WordOfGod states that Alain was taken by the Train but whether or not he's still on it by the time Chloe and Hop entered is up in the air...then it's confirmed he never left.
** The prequel Fanfic/InfinityTrainKnightOfTheOrangeLily reveals that Gladion was also a passenger on the Train. And Ash had no idea about it as he just watched Gladion and Lillie argue over Gladion's lack of action to help his sister and, as far as he knew, Gladion was off training afterward and not trapped in a magical train. Better yet, didn't one of his friends there also live with regret in their lives?
** Chapter 12 confirms that a younger Mallow got taken by the Train after she chewed her mother out for being sick. Knowing what happens in canon...
** It's only brief but Ash mentions he hasn't heard from Gary in a while either. Hopefully, it is just because Gary is busy in his new career since the events of Sinnoh. (Thankfully he's fine as Molly mentions him).
** Now Paul's not just on the train, but being tortured in it.

** Speaking of which, now that Goh knows of the Train, how obsessed will he become in an attempt to enter it to find Chloe? Will he be like Tulip on an impulse to run away without thinking things through? Will he act like Jesse and feeling guilt in not being able to be there for Chloe when she needed it the most? Will he be like Simon being obsessed with control? Or Amelia with how she wanted to get her husband back?!
** Let's actually examine the idea of 'Ash never getting involved with Goh' again, specifically the extension with the Cerise family shall we? If Ash never met Professor Cerise the means of encountering Dragonite, Gengar, Riolu, and Farfetch'd would never have happened. This is a bad thing. Now about Chloe and Parker, what does Ash lose from never having met them? As the narrative was clear about she never wanted to have anything to do with him and they never connected, so all Ash would lose without Chloe is a guilt complex. Trip would have probably found Ash without Chloe and confessed to him and, without said guilt complex, the relationship would be healthier. Parker only added to that guilt complex and is now responsible for unspeakable crimes against Ash and his friends. While Goh's faults are his own faults Goh was, if nothing else, a friend to Ash but with Chloe's departure his worst traits have been magnified to a point he is quickly becoming toxic. Or to put it very bluntly not only would Ash have not changed anything if he never met them, but meeting the Cerise children has made his life actively worse. Ash's life would be outright better if Professor Cerise never had kids, and given that one of them is about to do horrible things to an entire city, that might even extend to the entirety of Vermillion City.
* Tokio got sent into the Calligraphy Car post-Apex destruction and they tattooed him against his will. How many other Cars and denizens have become fearful of passengers because of the Apex's actions?
** Hell how many passengers are afraid of the Apex? From how they treated Trip and Tokio, they don't take refusal or people who don't share their twisted worldview lightly, considering how Grace and Simon were ready to murder Jesse in "The Mall Car" when he GrewASpine. How many passengers did the Apex hurt as well? How many of the Apex joined in fear of getting attacked and bullied? How many passengers didn't make it through an encounter with the Apex?
* The author notes for Intermission reveals that Chloe and a Pokémon Trainer will be stuck together fighting off a Puppet Theater/Fog Car ala Silent Hill 4. But which Trainer? Well, it's noted that Leon hasn't heard from his little brother in a while...
** And they're right. Hop got taken by the Infinity Train when the Train was inside a Pokémon Center and no one else could see it. Imagine Nurse Joy questioning where that boy and his Wooloo disappeared to or how the news will spread that Leon's little brother vanished...
** What could happen if Leon was in denial over his brother kidnapped by a Train? Would he get sent inside? And given how he's very bad with directions, he'll be stuck on the Train for a long time...

Imagine Nurse Joy questioning where that boy and his Wooloo disappeared to or how the news will spread that Leon's little brother vanished...\n** What could happen if Leon was in denial over his brother kidnapped by a Train? Would he get sent inside? And given how he's very bad with directions, he'll be stuck on the Train for a long time...

* Chapter 15 ends with several horrifying things to consider:
** After Chloe questions why she would need the ability to look into someone's soul, we have a disturbing scene that presumably has Henry and Watler cooing over someone. This leads to many questions: Who is that person? Is it Alain? If it isn't Alain then where is he? Is this the first time they've done this? How many other victims have become trapped in The Fog Car? Is Hop next?!
** TheReveal of Chapter 1+: Walter has Paul, one of Ash's rivals, tortured and it was Paul who let the Apex member drown in the lake. Moreover, Walter intends to break the kid to be modeled after Despair for some EvilPlan that also involves Hop (as Delight) and later Chloe as Destiny. Considering how Walter unleashed the 21 Sacraments to be with his "mother", what type of madness would this ritual ensue?!
*** Or the fact that Walter and Henry believe that the only way to end the Apex is via some sick and demented ritual?
* Walter breaks Paul down by stating that he doesn't "fit anybody", especially not his own brother. While that's harsh as it is, note that Reggie is the only person Paul actually is nice too. How would Paul feel if he told Reggie that he let someone die? It's already bad enough that we know that Paul is abusive towards Pokémon, but Reggie did nothing to change his little brother's behavior. How is Paul going to feel when he's finally freed in knowing that he's crossed a line?
* Henry and Walter want to enact a ritual that needs seven people (or eight as the two both embody Death) for a certain concept -- and they are having Simon embody Destruction. Now, what's worse: being part of a ritual that's part of Silent Hill or having your lifeforce sucked out by a Ghom, your body reduced to ash and your soul trapped in a body of a denizen?
** On the subject of Simon, The Cat is now going to be targeted by the Red Lotus Trio/Henry and Walter for her role in what made Simon who he was today. She is going to be blamed for abandoning Simon and no excuse she cooks up will save her as she can either face bludgeoning by donut holer/sliced by numerous razor-sharp papers or whatever torture two denizens from Silent Hill who wish to use Simon in their ritual will conduct with her involved. And The Cat will probably not be able to survive a trip in Silent Hill with all of the guilt and torment in her how she abandoned Simon, how she nearly made One-One destroyed by Amelia's hands and turned Atticus into a Ghom.
* Since Silent Hill looks different depending on the person, how is Hop -- who hasn't committed any crimes -- perceiving this?
* Chapter 17 has Parker unleash the power of the Unown which carries very grave consequences for everyone involved: he's angry and hurt over losing his sister because everyone else in his life either ignored her or bullied her. And since he is just as into horror just like his sister, imagine what type of punishments he'll give everyone. Not just Yeardley and Sara and all those bullies, but what about Miss April who did nothing while the bullying happened? Or Ash for how he never treated her like a human being and only talked about Pokémon? Or Chryssa and Renji for not doing anything even though they see her every single day? Or his father as it's because he was so busy with work that Chloe felt alone? Or what about Goh, the boy Parker hates the most for his obsession over Mew?! Vermillion City is going to be like Silent Hill very very soon, and there is nothing they can do to stop Parker in his mad pursuit of getting revenge in the name of his sister.
** Even after the Unown situation is dealt with, there's no way that there won't be a massive backlash against Parker and, by association, Chloe. Even if it isn't really her, it's still someone with her face causing a lot of people a lot of pain. Both he and Chloe will have to deal with the consequences, and if people take them at their word about how no-one can take back the hurt they caused and apologies do not change anything, they might have to eat their words. Whatever happens, there's a very serious risk that the situation Chloe returns home to will not be helpful to her mental health, and the one person she trusted was responsible.
** Speaking of Chloe, how would she react if she learns that it's because she couldn't return back home that it caused Parker to snap? If she finds out just how bad things have gotten back home, will she get desperate to return or desperate to stay on the train? Either way, the train's therapy plan for her will go OffTheRails, and who knows what will happen next.

** While it was only an idea that Parker had and didn't get a chance to implement it we do get the lovely mental image of a Tunnel of Love room meant to 'make it up to' Serena and Ash. Parker had no idea that what he thought was a OneTrueThreesome would more or less be mind-controlling three teenagers into a relationship with the other. Given that Parker was also shown more or less wrecking a completely consensual platonic relationship he had with Serena such a thing could probably have in-universe ShipSinking at best and extremely traumatic at worse, basically being a non-consensual relationship all three would be forced into by mind control.
** And when he does understand, what will happen? Parker is convinced that Goh and the bullies are BeyondRedemption, and he cannot accept Ash's sincere apologies since they do nothing to fix the mess he's caused. But knowing that his actions are orders of magnitude worse? The kid will think he's completely irredeemable, with no amount of atonement or apologies being remotely enough to fix the damage he's caused. All that anger will get turned inwards, resulting in utter self-loathing. What's a worse prospect - the notion that Parker might get taken by the Train, or that it might be the best-case scenario?
** To make that even worse, Parker would be all alone on the Train and the chances of him finding help are minimal depending on the state of the Train after the Apex have been dealt with (If they've been dealt with). His only hope is to either find a Car that's very friendly or if he meets up with his sister, Atticus, and Lexi. But if he does the latter, Chloe is not going to take it well if she sees how high a number her brother has.

scenario?

* The end of Chapter 17 reveals Alain's fate and how it is implied that he's playing the role of Alessa Gillespie of creating the monsters that will roam the Fog Car, fulfilling the role of "Dreams". It does not help that Alain quotes Vincent's "They look like monsters to you?" line.
** Even worse; it's all but confirmed that Simon is the Destruction aspect. What's going to happen to the Apex and Grace if the ritual consumes them?
* How much longer would the Unown rampage across Vermillion City if Chloe didn't email Parker? Moreover, if Mr. Bradbury didn't arrive on time, Miss April would've died and no one would've known.

* Sad-One's tendency to write obituaries is now given a darker light; considering how dangerous it is for people to traverse the Train, how many people have died that he has to prepare so many obituaries in the first place?
* If by some miracle Grace survives the events of Silent Hill, she is in a lot of trouble. Once the Apex learns the truth of what they are supposed to do, they'll come to realize that they have murdered innocent denizens for kicks and that they cannot come back like in a video game, and it will be on Grace's head for telling them to do this. Plus with the Infinet, there's no way for her to show her face without a denizen going for her head. And if she gets that huge number down to 0, she will forever have to remember what she did for eight years: brainwashing, corrupting, and commanding children to pillage, burn and kill everyone on sight. Larkspur was right to almost sympathize with this cult leader. She also has to live with the fact that Chloe could have been gone forever, the Apex didn't care that she died, and one was ready to throw a brick at Hazel's face. Grace is horrified and in the end must split the Apex and walk away in shame.
** Not to mention that once this comes to light and should Tuba still be alive, Hazel would want nothing to do with this leader. Given that Grace's betraying Hazel to save herself is what ruined their friendship for good in canon, it's more than guaranteed that Hazel is walking out of Grace's life for good.

* It's more Fridge Sadness than anything, but ultimately, Mr. Bradbury wasn't as good as the story made him out to be: while he was better at seeing Chloe's issues, not only did he only he take them to one of her parents (Professor Cerise) and not the other one, but he never pressed nor insisted on the matter, which would've made things a bit better. Also, while did something about Chloe, he never bothered with doing something about her classmates, the perpetrators, as their parents are caught off guard and horrified at the things their children did. And after Chloe runs away and goes on a rampage? He smugly tells everybody IWarnedYou, like he's somehow morally superior to them despite his attempts to help to be half-baked at best. And there's the fact that he never did more make sure that the Professor followed up on his recommendation to get counseling for Chloe.
** His close relationship with Chloe also adds another potential layer for the bullying she experienced. The fact that Bradbury devoted all of his attention to her, yet seemingly never even lifted a finger for his other students comes off as him showing favoritism towards Chloe.

Chloe. His close relationship with Chloe also adds another potential layer for the bullying she experienced. The fact that Bradbury devoted all of his attention to her, yet seemingly never even lifted a finger for his other students comes off as him showing favoritism towards Chloe.

** Or if we take a third option, the Train gets to her. If this happens after Chloe dismantles the Apex, then she'll have a better time navigating it. But then there's a question of her wanting to go back to a world that hates her for every single crime she committed.

* Chloe's message to Parker and the consequences of it become even worse when you see it through the lens of the average person: to Chloe and Parker, she was sending TheOnlyOneITrust a message to vent, and hope that he could help fix things. To the common folk, though, the poorly worded message can easily come across as psychological abuse, since Parker is the one person Chloe should not be ignorant about regarding his feelings, seeing as he's a child who's only ever been good to her. Instead, the message makes Chloe comes across as even more cruel and petty than people thought.
** This only gets worse when you consider how this puts their entire relationship in a new light: Chloe was already MadeOutToBeAJerkass thanks to Sara's meddling, but they only got her word for it. This message could not only be taken as proof that what she said was true, but that Chloe is really just a BigSisterBully who is willing to hurt her younger brother just to make a point.

** Nope, he was fine. He helped kill Simon.

* Chloe being a NightmareFetishist doesn't make sense until you recall that in Through the Looking Glass, Alice once told her nurse "Let's pretend that I'm a hyena and you're a bone!". It's an aspect she shares with the character of her favorite book.

* At the end of the Curry Car, Chloe realizes that she's NotSoDifferent from Goh when it came to their attitudes and mindsets. There's also a smaller indication of this: Goh has black hair with red streaks while Chloe's change of wardrobe came when she got blue streaks to her hair. So in a sense, she's becoming just like him in a physical way.

* Alain's Saint Ash nearly caused the Cage of Flauros to succeed if Chloe didn't snap out of it. If you thought Alain's GuiltComplex was bad, he'd never forgive himself for the clusterfuck that happened if Chloe chose to become Lady Destiny.
