* Johnny becoming the Human Torch is foreshadowed by the [[Franchise/SuperMarioBros Fire Flower]] [[FreezeFrameBonus air freshener]] in his car.

* Sue's powers tie in with her involvement in the failed exploration scene. Rather than explore the planet with the others, she stayed back and watched over the mission. Then when things went south, she helped teleport them back. While she wasn't physically present, she did provide unseen assistance and protection from external forces.

* Why is Ben so willing and okay to work for the military. A FreezeFrameBonus in the Grimm house in the prologue hinted that his father served and died in the military. Ben might be trying to honor his father.

* The film doesn't delve into that much, but there are a few elements that paint Victor and Reed as foils for one another. Victor designed an interdimensional teleporter, coming very close to perfecting it, but was unable to. He also tried to erase the data of his work rather than let it fall into the hands of anyone he didn't trust. Reed, in turn, built an interdimensional teleporter on accident, being ignorant to its function. He also is very much partner-oriented, adapting, calling Ben to come on the trip, organizing the team, and being willing to work with the military if it meant helping the others. When Victor proposes using the machine, he's the assertive one, while Reed has to be swayed by him and Johnny.

* As observed in the front page, Reed stops wearing glasses after he gains his powers. If his vision problems were caused by the shape of his eyes, being a shapeshifter now means he could easily correct his vision without glasses.

Since it doesn\'t make sense and it\'s an actual continuity error.

* Doom's cloak seems odd since there's no other non-rocky material on Planet Zero. Except there is: The American flag Reed and Ben take when the four go through dimensions. It's tattered and the colors are gone, and Victor's wearing it. A bit of FridgeBrilliance RuleOfSymbolism.
** Except for the fact that the flag was to small to be made into a functional cloak with a hood. And the cloak itself was too thick to be made from an ordinary flag.

* Johnny's choice of music in the street race is The Four Tops' "Standing in the Shadows of Love." Aside from being a nice aversion to using hip-hop in street racing scenes, it actually fits his character. The song itself is from a romantic perspective, but could be applied to his relationship with Franklin Storm. Johnny's a WellDoneSonGuy who feels that he's TheUnfavorite compared to Sue, and the next scene is him getting chewed out by his father, despite their mutual love for each other. Later lyrics in the song mention destiny, but also one fueled by misery and sorrow. Considering what happens to Doctor Storm...

** Ben has had some precedence with the military outside the movies. In 616, he was a soldier and pilot before attaining his powers. In Ultimate, he joined the military after gaining his powers when the Fantastic Four disbanded (not entirely dissimilar to parting with Reed at that).

Added DiffLines:

* Johnny making a "yo momma" comment towards Victor may have been a VERY bad idea, assuming Victor's history with his mother is similar to his comic counterpart.

* Reed never fully masters his powers until the end, so how chaotic was it for him (and anyone who saw him) before he was able to build his containment suit?

* It's never fully stated, but this version of Ben Grimm is actually pretty smart. Maybe not on the level of his 616 counterpart, but above his Ultimate version. He's already good with mechanics at age 11, and spends the next seven years working with Reed to bring the teleporter to Beta. Even if he might not know the superscience of '''why''' it works, he knows '''how''' it works.

* Since Johnny and Sue never are forced into a situation where they have to control their powers like Reed is in the end, they have to rely on the containment suits. They probably can never remove their suits.
