* FridgeLogic: In one episode, Eddie is freaked out looking after a pregnant woman who has gone into labor, claiming, "I have no idea what to do". This is highly unlikely. Lifeguards receive extensive first aid training and while he might be nervous as it's the first time he's had to deliver a baby, there's no way he'd be completely clueless. Quite glaring, considering that Mitch delivers a baby in two separate instances (understandably freaked out the first time, but he still handles it very well), and another senior lifeguard mentions having to deliver one also.

Quite glaring, considering that his girlfriend Shaunie shows up and declares that ''she'' knows, that Mitch delivers a baby in two separate instances (understandably freaked out the first time, but he still handles it very well), and another senior lifeguard mentions having to deliver one also.

* FridgeBrilliance: In one episode, Mitch's anger over a trainee lifeguard's incorrect response as to what he should do when he and a victim are being swept toward rocks or a pier seems unreasonable--the guard says he would place himself between the victim and the rocks when the correct procedure is to position the ''victim'' to take the impact, because even if they sustain more injuries, the lifeguard is still able to get them to safety, rather than risk injury to himself as well--until the episode "Fatal Exchange", where we learn that when faced with a situation like this, Mitch made the above-mentioned error, and indeed was knocked unconscious, resulting in the victim drowning. Clearly, Mitch still hasn't forgiven himself for this deadly error and wants to avoid others making the same mistake.
