Dr. Karl Zimmer (Robert Symonds) is a scientist who, along with his partner Drago (Curt Lowens) has discovered a new element that they name [[{{Phlebotinum}} Supercon]], from the refined spores of a mushroom they found in an old mine. However, Supercon is also highly toxic when it's being refined, so they construct a robot with a [[UnusualUserInterface keyboard-neural interface]] that they name "Mandroid" to handle the containers.

Added DiffLines:

* FacialHorror: When Drago is holding the container of still-being-processed Supercon, said container is shot, causing the lid to burst open, spraying Drago in the face with toxic supercon. He runs off screaming, his hands over his face. The film hides his face for the remainder of the movie outside of a few angles that show off that his head is now rather wrinkled and lumpy. [[spoiler:We get a full, unobstructed view of his face at the end, showing that his head is pink and lumpy, and his face is very wrinkly.]]
* FadingAway: It's eventually revealed that [[spoiler:this is what's happening to Ben, after having been thrown into a container of frozen Supercon]].
* MadeOfIron: The people in this movie are able to shrug off stuff that would have left a normal person in traction. For example, Ben is no worse for wear after the van he's in crashes into a brick wall.

* TheEndOrIsIt: At the end of the movie, after Drago and Smith have been defeated and Wade and Zana get together, we see a scene of a prostitute in a room with a customer. [[spoiler:Said customer is Drago.]]

* UnusualUserInterface: Mandroid is controlled by a person with an [[BrainComputerInterface interface helmet]], and a keyboard on a treadmill.

* AnAxeToGrind: The mute chops a policeman in the back with a fire axe to get his machinegun.
* OneWordTitle: Mandroid, obviously.
* {{Phlebotinum}}: Supercon, the new element that Karl and Drago discovered from the processed spores of a species of mushroom that grows in the walls of a mine.
* PunBasedTitle: Man + Android = Mandroid.
* TheVoiceless: The mute doesn't speak any language. Any attempt at communication comes out as wheezy-sounding growls.
