Thus far there's been no ROB, no point buy, and a greater focus on interacting with and having a back and forth between the SI and his Gundam and the inhabitants of the small planet he's found himself on, where a lot of people have their own plans, motivations, and agendas prior to his arrival. Even without deeper BT or Gundam understanding though the thread and the author do a good job of explaining things as they come up and in general it's just a really fun ride. Further, the shifting viewpoint in each chapter makes for a far more engaging experience for people who aren't the biggest on self inserts. Now has a Tropes page in need of love.

* ''Comments'': An excellent fusion that fits the places and people of the film seamlessly into the BT universe. Characterization is excellent on both sides. The first few chapters can be a little heavy on backstory and scene setting exposition, but even if you aren’t interested in the BT background it is well worth sticking with it till the story kicks off in earnest.
