** X-COM's typical response to problems that their ''small'' guns can't take care of is either to work their way around the problem, or fire bigger guns at it. They manage to take out Anubis' "Stargate Destroyer" by firing a building-sized maser[[note]]That's not a typo. The 'm' stands for 'microwave' because that's what the cannon is emitting. If it had been gamma rays, it would've been a Graser.[[/note]] beam at it ''through the Stargate.''
