* {{Determinator}}: Being hounded by Alucard's pet hellhound while the man himself shoots at you while you're trying to destroy two dummies that fire back at you? And the bullets, despite being rubber, are laced with holy water? Yuu's solution during this whole thing is to brace being shot in the stomach repeatedly as he fires the shotgun at point-blank range at the last dummy. Oh, and Baskerville's chomping on his arm all the while. Even if it was a training session, it was meant to reinforce Yuu's battle instincts and drill into his head that, as a vampire, certain things don't apply.

* DangerousForbiddenTechnique: Also doubles as a PowerAtAPrice. Alucard states that Yuuichiro is capable of calling upon his powers as a Seraph of the End, though thanks to his new vampiric nature, his instincts are subdued (which readers of the SotE manga will know to be a ''very'' good thing for anyone involved with Yuu). It is possible for him to tap into the power at its fullest, though Yuu risks being taken over by his angelic side. Alucard also mentions that doing so could be dangerous, as even though Integra and everyone else outside of Japan didn't break the taboo, the Seraphs of the End are still hostile towards humanity because the taboo was broken by human hands.

* BigBadEnsemble: On three sides: Lest Karr appears to be becoming one, having replaced Krul as the overseer of Japan. Since he has no interest in the Seraph of the Ends and doesn't have an inside man, he's only focused on getting control over Japan and destroying the Japanese Imperial Demon Army. There's also Millennium, which was revealed to be working with Lest, though Schrodinger makes it clear that both sides are using one another to further their own goals. And finally is the mysterious "good sir" and the unknown man present in the meeting between the latter and Schrodinger, who was responsible for implanting the chips creating the artificial vampires, serving as prototypes for the ones used by Millennium and is attacking the Hellsing Organization for unknown reasons.

** In ''Bleeding Hearts'', Urd Geales reveals that Alucard was the reason as to why the Progenitor Council was founded, as when he was reborn as a Nosferatu, the Skals had entered into a confrontation with him that led to countless deaths, destroying whatever structure they had back then and forced them to institute the current system.

* TheMole: Guren Ichinose is this for Krul Tepes. If you've read the manga or the prequel Light Novels, ''Catastrophe at Sixteen'', then you'll know his affiliation with Krul is primarily in part due to Mahiru.

It's also implied that Skals are older than Nosferatu, with Krul, a Third Progenitor vampire, being ''twice Alucard's age''.

** ''Bleeding Hearts'' also shows that Vampire Requiem appears to be basing itself somewhat on the later half of the TV series, as there are chips that turn individuals into artificial vampires. Given the conversation between the "good sir" and Schrodinger, it's fair to assume that the chips are the prototypes of the ones used by Millennium.

* AdaptationalBadass: While Yuu was already pretty impressive, him being a vampire and cutting down throes of vampires and ghouls is very impressive. And keep in mind that, at this point in time, Yuu is only ''twelve''. Then again, it is to be expected, since he has Alucard for a teacher. Unlike in his home series, though, Yuu is capable of summoning Asuramaru to fight for him.

* AfterTheEnd: ...or so everyone in Japan thinks. In this continuity, only Japan's adult population has plummeted, with Hellsing theorizing that it is most likely because the country was where the taboo had been broken.

* CityInABottle: Played with. Following the taboo being broken and the vampires taking over the country, Japan is effectively cut off from the rest of the world, and virtually doesn't know what's going on with the rest of the world. None of the other countries can act either without causing attention, as they've only managed to provide a flimsy excuse as to why Japan has gone dark and doesn't want to risk exposing the world to the existence of vampires.

Rather than being found by Guren Ichinose and being set down the path of joining the Japanese Imperial Demon Army after escaping Sanguinem, Yuuichiro Hyakuya finds himself encountering a stranger clad in red with a fanged smile. This man is a vampire unlike anything he has seen before. After being captured by a vampire seeking asylum in Japan, Yuu is saved by the mystery man, only to find himself on death's door.

"Do you want to live?"

Yuu's answer leads him to a new life. Now, he serves the Hellsing Organization as its new dog, working under Alucard and honing his power, all the while learning of the secrets behind his past, the Hyakuya Orphanage, and the truth behind vampires...
