* DidYouJustFlipOffCthulhu: Damon Gray, Valerie's dad, is revealed to have done this. A near-immortal necromancer, Clockwork was his patron. At one point Clockwork directed him to a woman he was to marry, foretelling their child would produce the perfect wife for the future King of the Infinite Realms, which Damon knew was a significant honor. Instead however he fell for the sister of whom he was supposed to marry, and defied Clockwork to have a child by her instead. The 'Aspect of Kronus' was livid by this, and Damon was forced to sacrifice the bulk of his powers in penance, but he accepted it as a worthwhile price.

However, she became deeply haunted [[FreudianExcuseIsNoExcuse by the discover it was her son she had been hunting all this time,]] and embraced her son and his clone wholeheartedly.

* NewPowersAsThePlotDemands: The tendency of Danny (and later Elle) to keep developing new powers pretty much every week is lampshaded more than once. The going theory is that it's a result of the meta gene they inherited from Jack mixed with their ectoplasm causing their bodies to mutate and develop new powers due to stress, with Rayyan even suggesting that the reason that they have more powers and developed them faster than Vlad did is because he didn't have the stressors and ''need'' to survive that led them to do so.

He also thinks that Oracle is a guy.
** Sam sees Tim behind the coffee shop she works at and assumes that he's DisposingOfABody. In actuality, he and Spoiler were waiting for Batman to pick them up after having gotten beaten up during a raid on a smuggling ring, and she saw just enough to make the wrong conclusion.
** Danny assumes that Jason is a prostitute, which isn’t helped by Jason telling him that he was helping another man with an “adult problem” when he was actually trying to get a predator away from Danny.
* FountainOfYouth: Vlad creates a weapon that can de-age humans and halfas in an attempt to revert Danny to a younger state and force him to be his "son", and all of the Fentons get hit by it before they can thermos Vlad. While they manage to grab it from him and run when he gets out the ray is damaged and they're currently stuck as kids while they work on fixing it and undoing the effects. Jack and Maddie were turned into toddlers, Jazz is now ten, Danny seven, and Elle five.
* GroinAttack: After breaking the Joker's limbs Elle proceeds to stomp on his crotch for ''twenty minutes straight'', and he has to undergo testicular retrieval surgery as a result.
* TheMindIsAPlaythingOfTheBody: Although the de-aged Fentons retain all their memories and base personalities, their actions are affected by their new younger forms. This is especially prevalent in Jack and Maddie, who are toddlers.
* MuggingAMonster: Occasionally some crook or villain attacks the Fentons, and they always regret it.
** Jason figured out that Danny had powers after some thug tries to rob him and gets punched into a wall while he's watching.
** Jazz goes to the museum one day and Two-Face shows up. She then proceeds to take Two-Face and four of his goons out from a single shot of a taser Danny modified, then clobbers the rest with an upgraded creep stick. The last one left decides to get out of dodge, but by then Spoiler and Orphan, who work at the museum, had gotten into costume and stop him.
* RunningGag:
** The Fenton kids escaping from members of the Bat-Family (in costume or otherwise) by claiming that Batman is coming and running when they reflexively turn and look. Danny even gets away from Jason this way in his civilian ''and'' Red Hood identities.
** The Bat-Family's habit of adopting strays, primarily with the kids trying to adopt one of the Fentons. Jason is driven by the Pit inside him to try and protect and adopt Danny, Damian wants to adopt Maddie (by proxy through one of his older siblings at least once Dick points out that he's too young to do so) after she nails him with a ketchup packet and impresses him with her skill, and Orphan wants to adopt Jazz after seeing what she did to Two-Face and his goons when they robbed the museum she was at.
