Following the latest defeat of [[BigBad Dr. Ivo "Eggman" Robotnik]], along with the resealing of the hyper-energy organism, [[EldritchAbomination Dark Gaia]], {{Sonic the Hedgehog}}, having grown a bit bored of his surroundings, decided to go on a world tour, in search of adventure and new places to explore. Two months into the global trip, during an expedition through the vast jungles of the Adabat continent, however, he ran into a pair of pixie pranksters. The [[TheFairFolk fairy siblings]], [[TheLegendOfZeldaMajorasMask Tatl and Tael]], are the accomplices of the mischievous Skull Kid. Using Tael, the younger of the two pixies, as bait for rescue, the pair ambushed the altruistic hedgehog right as he was fighting off one of Eggman's remaining Badniks. Later joined by the Skull Kid, the trio of thieves made off with, among other trinkets, Sonic's Mystic Melody. After regaining consciousness in the middle of the trio's robbery, he discovered that his treasured recorder was missing. Always quick to react, Sonic gave chase, following their trail.

The thieves' trail led him into a mysterious cave he didn't even know existed. Rushing headlong into the enigmatic tunnel, he found himself looking over a bottomless chasm as black as night. Just as he was about to turn back and search elsewhere, a mysterious force sent him careening into the chasm below. After a fall that seemed endless, he soon found himself in a room of unknown origin. Before he could figure out his location, he found that the trio of thieves were waiting for him in the mysterious room. Possessed and overcome by the evil power of the mask he stole during his tenure on Earth, the Skull Kid jinxed Sonic and imprisoned his mind within the body of a wooden, plantlike creature called a [[PlantAliens Deku Scrub.]] Forced to cope with his strange, new form, Sonic the Deku Scrub must also deal with his newly forged alliance with [[{{Tsundere}} Tatl]], the feisty, older fairy partner of the Skull Kid. The fairy girl, carelessly abandoned by the Skull Kid ([[LackOfEmpathy who never think about how his actions affects others]]), reluctantly guides her new partner through a portal to a parallel world -- a world where [[YouAllLookFamiliar everyone is a stranger, yet each look like the twin of someone Sonic met in his homeworld of Earth.]]

Termina, the parallel world Sonic stumbled into, is one built around a towering clock. Time is everything in Clock Town, the busy central hub and {{capital city}} of the parallel world. It matters even more in the bustling burg since the Moon, once a heavenly body, had begun to creep threateningly closer and closer to the town. The shadow that the Moon had blanketed the land with has cast a dark veil over its inhabitants. Everyone's personal lives had taken a turn for the worse. The source of the misery placed upon the inhabitants of Termina is the mischief of the Skull Kid donning the Majora's Mask, and the influence his cursed guise has on the Moon, the heavens, space, and time. In seventy-two hours, coinciding with the town's Carnival of Time, the Moon will impact the world and annihilate everything in its wake.

** For starters, the title of the story itself. Its current title is partially a reference to one of Sonic's [[FanNickname Fan Nicknames]]. Its original title, ''Sonic and the Mask of Majora'', was intended to be a reference to the ''{{Sonic and the Secret Rings}}''.

The [[TheFairFolk faerie siblings]], [[TheLegendOfZeldaMajorasMask Tatl and Tael]], are the accomplices of the mischievous Skull Kid.

Possessed and overcome by the evil power of the mask he stole during his tenure on Earth, the Skull Kid jinxed Sonic and imprisoned his mind within the body of a wooden, plantlike creature called a [[PlantAliens Deku Scrub.]] Forced to cope with his strange, new form, Sonic the Deku Scrub must also deal with his newly forged alliance with [[{{Tsundere}} Tatl]], the feisty, older faerie partner of the Skull Kid. The faerie girl, carelessly abandoned by the Skull Kid ([[LackOfEmpathy who never think about how his actions affects others]]), reluctantly guides her new partner through a portal to a parallel world -- a world where [[YouAllLookFamiliar everyone is a stranger, yet each look like the twin of someone Sonic met in his homeworld of Earth.]]

Moving some of the character tropes over to the Character Sheet.

As can be seen in the extended summary below, this is a ''{{Sonic the Hedgehog}}''/''{{Legend of Zelda}}'' {{crossover}} fanfic. [[{{Novelization}} Closely based on the game]] ''[[ThelegendOfZeldaMajorasMask The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask]]'', the story chronicles [[TheHero Sonic]] and [[FairyCompanion Tatl's]] journey through the four corners of Termina to seek the help necessary to stop the catastrophic descent of the rogue moon before it destroys the world and everything on it. As of September 17, 2010, Chapters One, Two and Three have been uploaded on [[FanfictionDotNet Fanfiction.net]], with a small revision of Chapter One as well as Chapter Four underway.

As far as how the story will play out overall, it will be like this: There will be two main sequences in this story, each with their own dividing chapter sections. The First Sequence will play out just like it did in the game, where Sonic is a Deku Scrub and the duo's attempt to stop the Skull Kid from destroying the world will fail. The chapters of the First Sequence are sectioned by days. The Second Sequence will actually show Sonic and Tatl's journey around Termina. Each chapter of this Sequence are sectioned by region, with brief "intermissions" in Clock Town or other sub-locations. Not counting the first chapter, which takes place on Earth, that's a total of six days.

Using certain elements from both the game and [[Manga/TheLegendOfZelda its manga adaptation,]] he will give a more action-oriented take on the game's events. However, as one of the darkest, creepiest, most {{Nightmare Fuel}}-errific Zelda games yet, it would be nothing more than a disservice on his part not to even try to keep the general tone present.

If you have a question, advice, or concerns about the story that you wish to bring up, you can either send [[Tropers/{{Komodin}} the author]] a private message concerning it here on this site or on [[FanfictionDotNet Fanfiction.net]]. Either way, you ''will'' receive a response, so don't be afraid to ask. Also, if there is a trope present in the story that has not been listed in the list below yet, don't be afraid to add it in.

Not counting the first chapter, which takes place on Earth/Mobius, that's a total of six days.

''The events of this story are set two months after the events of'' ''SonicUnleashed.''

Following the latest defeat of [[BigBad Dr. Ivo "Eggman" Robotnik]], along with the resealing of the hyper-energy organism, [[EldritchAbomination Dark Gaia]], [[SonicTheHedgehog the titular hero]], having grown a bit bored of his surroundings, decided to go on a world tour, in search of adventure and new places to explore. During an expedition through the vast jungles of the Adabat continent, however, he ran into a pair of pixie pranksters. The [[TheFairFolk faerie pair]], [[TheLegendOfZeldaMajorasMask Tatl and Tael]], are the accomplices of the mischievous Skull Kid.

Before he could figure out his location, he found that the trio of thieves were waiting for him in the mysterious room.

Possessed and overcome by the evil power of the mask he stole during his tenure on Earth, the Skull Kid jinxed Sonic and imprisoned his mind within the body of a wooden, plantlike creature called a [[PlantAliens Deku Scrub.]] Forced to cope with his strange, new form, ''Sonic the Deku Scrub'' must also deal with his newly forged alliance with [[{{Tsundere}} Tatl]], the feisty, older faerie partner of the Skull Kid.

The first to greet the wayward hedgehog in this new, yet familiar world is the Happy Mask Salesman, whom the Skull Kid robbed of a [[ArtifactOfDoom relic with a truly dark origin, the Majora's Mask.]] The mysterious businessman struck a deal with the hedgehog trapped in the Deku Scrub body: if Sonic can find the Mystic Melody along with the "Majora's Mask" he seeks, the salesman will return Sonic in his original form.

What once started as a leisurely search for adventure soon unfolds into a fight to save the doomed land of Termina from its otherwise inevitable, apocalyptic fate.

...

As can be seen above, this is a ''{{Sonic the Hedgehog}}''/''{{Legend of Zelda}}'' {{crossover}} fanfic. As of August 17, 2010, Chapters One, Two and Three have been uploaded on [[FanfictionDotNet Fanfiction.net]], with a small revision of Chapter One as well as Chapter Four underway.

[[http://www.fanfiction.net/s/4926580/1/The_Blue_Blur_of_Termina Here's a link to it, if you wish to read it.]] As far as how the story will play out overall, it will be like this:

There will be two main sequences in this story, each with their own dividing chapter sections. Not counting the first chapter, which takes place on Earth/Mobius, that's a total of six days.

Using certain elements from both the game and [[Manga/TheLegendOfZelda its manga adaptation,]] I will give a more action-oriented take on the game's events. However, as one of the darkest, creepiest, most {{Nightmare Fuel}}-errific Zelda games yet, it would be nothing more than a disservice on my part not to even try to keep the general tone present.

----
!!Some of the tropes used in this story are:

* ActionGirl: Tatl the Faerie.
* AlienSky: [[spoiler:Throughout the story, the sky slowly takes on a red color as the Moon approaches the surface. It shifts from an odd greenish sky finally taking on a deep red and purple glow in the Evening of the Final Day.]] [[supersecretspoiler:It, along with the Moon itself, vanishes with Majora's final defeat.]]
* AloofAlly: Tatl the Faerie. She only joined Sonic because the Skull Kid abandoned and (indirectly) injured her. In fact, [[spoiler:during a fight with him,]] she makes it clear that she couldn't care less about him. [[spoiler:Later in the story, [[NoHoldsBarredBeatdown after witnessing the business end of the destructive]] [[MoralEventHorizon power of the Skull Kid firsthand]], she intentionally sticks with Sonic and starts treating him with more respect.]]
* AmazingTechnicolorHair: Out of the more important characters:
** Sonic the Hedgehog, with his blue fur and quills.
** Tatl the Faerie, with her silvery-white hair.
** Tael the Faerie, with his reddish-purple hair.
** [[spoiler:Venus]], with [[spoiler:her]] greenish-blonde hair.
** [[spoiler:Kafei]], with [[spoiler:his]] bluish-purple hair.
** [[spoiler:Post-Woodfall Gekko the [[strike:Frog]] Garo]], with [[spoiler:his]] blue-green hair [[spoiler:tentacles.]]
* ArtifactOfDoom: Majora's Mask, ancient relic of a long-extinct clan of [[spoiler:echidnas]].
* AliensStealCattle: The [[spoiler:White Xordae's]] main goal.
* AttackOfTheTownFestival
* AnotherDimension: Termina, which serves as a parallel world for Earth/Mobius. There's also [[spoiler:the ruins of Amoraj's original stronghold Hollow Nocturne, situated in the desert-like dimension where the Twinmold Insects are sealed away in deep within the Stone Tower Temple, and the warped dimension in the Moon where the duo fought the Mask's spirit... ]]
* ApologisesALot: Anju, as in the game.
* AscendedExtra: In the [[TheLegendOfZeldaMajorasMask original game,]] the unnamed Great Fairy of Magic only "appears" [[hottip:* :you ''could'' still visit her at any time for healing purposes, but still...]] twice in context of the story. [[hottip:* :Once, to gain the Magic Meter after repairing her shattered body the first time around as the Deku Scrub; twice, to provide you with the Great Fairy Mask the second time you repair her when you're back as a Hylian.]] Here, she not only has a name (Venus), but she also has a more direct connection with the main villain[[spoiler:, being Majora's old flame and the one who battled and turned her Heart Container into Majora's Mask]].
** Tael the Faerie. In the original game, he only had four, though all important to the plot, appearances in the entire game. Here, he has more appearances and forms a friendship with Sonic early in the story.[[spoiler:.. which becomes important, as halfway in the First Sequence, he informs Sonic on the Skull Kid's actions during and before they crossed paths.]]
* BattleCouple: Sonic and Tatl become a [[spoiler:non-romantic]] example of this near the end of the story.
* BattleInTheCenterOfTheMind: [[spoiler:Sonic's battle with Majora over control of his body.]]
* BelligerentSexualTension: [[spoiler:Sonic and Tatl's relationship later into the story.]]
* BigBad: The Skull Kid. [[supersecretspoiler:He was later [[TheManBehindTheMan hijacked]] by the Mask herself.]]
* BigDamnHeroes: A minor example in Chapter 3, when Tatl saved Sonic from the Deku Scrub-hating dog in Clock Town.
* BishonenLine: [[spoiler:For almost the entire story, Majora's Mask started out as a sentient mask / corrupted [[OurSoulsAreDifferent Heart Container]]. As it battled with Sonic and Tatl, it transforms from a giant version of itself with hair-like tentacles running down its back to a fleshy mask-like creature with spindly limbs and a single horned eye stalk, to what basically amounts to a demonically-anthropomorphic version of the Mask form, before ''finally'' settling with a body that resembles a mix between her original echidna self and a ''demonic version of a Great Faerie''.]]
* BodyHorror / TransformationTrauma: Sonic's mask transformations, especially his initial transformation into the Deku Scrub form. [[supersecretspoiler:Majora’s slow total possession and partial transformation of Skull Kid's body also counts.]]
* BrotherSisterTeam: Tatl and Tael, when the Skull Kid isn't around.
* CapitalCity: Clock Town, central city of.
* ClockTower: The main structure of Clock Town. Also, the main location of [[spoiler:the final chapters, where the fight with Skull Kid, the Four Giants' [[BigDamnHeroes rescue]], and the revelation of the Mask's true role in the plot occur.]]
* CombatPragmatist: Tatl, who isn't above using a knife, blunt objects, and cheap tricks to get what she wants.
* CombatTentacles: [[spoiler:Gekko, after Woodfall Temple.]]
* CompleteMonster: [[spoiler:Majora/Amoraj.]]
* CreepyTwins: [[spoiler:The Twinmold Insects, Lanmola and Moldorm.]]
* DarkActionGirl: [[spoiler:Aveil (and the Gerudo Pirates, in general) and Majora.]]
* DarkIsNotEvil: [[spoiler:Gomess, the Sub-Guardian of the Inverted Stone Tower Temple.]]
** [[spoiler:Sonic himself also counts, as after having been transfigured into a Deku Scrub by the Skull Kid, he was inadvertently made into a [[TheHeartless Garo Spirit]]. This stuck even after returning into his original form by the Song of Healing. In fact, his Garo Spirit state is the reason why he can even use the masks to transform in the first place.]]
* DarkSkinnedBlond: Tatl the Faerie; she has dark-yellow skin, and silvery-white hair.
* DarkSkinnedRedhead: [[spoiler:The Gerudo Pirates.]]
* DeadpanSnarker: Tatl the Faerie. Sonic has some moments of snarkiness.
* DefrostingIceQueen: [[spoiler:Tatl the Faerie.]]
* DeadPersonImpersonation: Sonic the Hedgehog, [[spoiler:through his use of Birchodil, Darmani, and Mikau's forms to save Termina.]]
* DemonicPossession: [[spoiler:As Sonic and Tatl later discovered, the spirit sealed in the Mask of Majora slowly took over the Skull Kid's body for the course of the three days, eventually completely possessing him by the Evening of the Final Day. During the battle with her, she possesses Sonic in an attempt to get rid of the pair.]]
* EliteMooks: [[spoiler:The Masked Followers of Majora used to seal away the Four Giants: Odolwa, Goht, Gyorg and the Twinmold Insects. Also from Majora's days as the Matriarch of the Garo Clan, the Garo Master -- ''her own father'' -- was her Elite Mook of the Garo Robes, though not to the extent of the Masked Followers.]]
* EyesOfGold: Tatl.
* FairyCompanion: Tatl. After being separated from her brother and the Skull Kid (and injuring herself in the process), Tatl was forced to [[TeethClenchedTeamwork team up with Sonic]] until they can find them. She generally does a mediocre job at best, though, what with providing bare-bones information and selfishly assuming Sonic has prior knowledge of Terminan lore, despite Sonic repeatedly telling her otherwise.
* {{Facepalm}}: Implied to have been done by Tatl in Chapter 2.
* FairySexy: Tatl the Faerie in Sonic's eyes, as described in Chapter Three.
---> ''He followed her every movement, noticing the various bruises and scars running along every last curvature of her thick legs and hips. Her huge, gossamer wings gave off light, almost silent noises with every flap. The faint glow emanating off her yellow skin lit the underground walkway, further enhanced by the eldritch shine from her shimmering, silvery hair. While she was no Rouge, she could almost give her a run for her money when it comes to her figure.''
* FoeYay: [[spoiler:Gekko, who harbors an [[StalkerWithACrush obsessive crush]] on Tatl.]]
** [[spoiler:Skull Kid -- or, rather, ''Amoraj's'' -- demeanor towards Sonic can be seen as a weird variant of this Trope.]]
* TheFrizzle: The Happy Mask Salesman.
* GoodIsNotNice: Though she generally means well, Tatl can be quite a jerk at times.
* GoombaStomp: [[spoiler:Used by Sonic on a Snapper after saving the Deku Princess.]]
* GrandTheftMe: [[spoiler:Majora's possession of Skull Kid, and later, Sonic.]]
** [[spoiler:For the Skull Kid, it actually ''succeeds'' in the Evening of the Final Day in the First Sequence, and nearly succeeded again in the Second Sequence, had it not been for the Oath to Order.]]
** [[spoiler:For Sonic, a dual battle with Sonic [[BattleInTheCenterOfTheMind (in his mind)]] and Tatl (outside his mind) forced her out.]]
* HartmanHips: Tatl the Faerie.
* TheHeartless: [[spoiler:The spirits of the Garo Robes in present-day Ikana, empty shells of long-fallen Garo warriors reanimated via Majora’s magic.]]
* TheHeavy: The Skull Kid.[[supersecretspoiler:..who is himself [[DemonicPossession controlled by Amoraj]].]]
* TheHighQueen: Venus the Great Fairy, as a non-royalty example.
* HoYay: Tael's repressed affections towards Sonic.
* HumongousMecha: [[spoiler:Goht, the Masked Mechanical Beast.]]
* InnBetweenTheWorlds: [[spoiler:The Temple at the End of Time.]]
* InnocentFanserviceGirl: Tatl the Faerie, whose only article of clothing is a length of red cloth tied around her hips like a belt.
* InvoluntaryShapeshifting: Sonic's initial transformation into the Deku Scrub form via the Skull Kid's powers.
* IWasQuiteALooker: As Sonic finds out [[{{Squick}} the hard way]], this applies to [[spoiler:the Twinrova Sisters and Wizrobe.]]
* JerkWithAHeartOfGold: Tatl.
* KidHero: Sonic and Tatl; they are both 15 years old.
* KnifeNut: [[spoiler:Majora.]]
* LampshadeHanging: Used during the battle with [[spoiler:Goht. As in the game, Goht is sealed in a huge block of ice by Wizrobe, with his masked head poking from its icy prison. Seeing this, Sonic questions [[FridgeLogic whether or not to just chisel the mask off and leave.]] [[TheComplainerIsAlwaysWrong After a bit of harping from Tatl and Wizrobe,]] Sonic reluctantly chose to melt the ice anyway.]]
* LightIsNotGood: [[spoiler:The magic Majora wields is an amalgamation of the magic used by her Nocturnus tribe and the Great Faerie magic used by the original Great Faeries (of whom Venus is descended from) before they were killed and absorbed into Amoraj, Majora's original self.]]
* LittlePeople: Besides Sonic, the Deku Scrubs and the Faeries.
* LizardFolk: [[spoiler:The Dinofols Clan, residing in the caverns of Mt. Woodfall.]]
* MagicMusic: The various instruments shown throughout the story, including Sonic's Mystic Melody flute.
* MarsNeedsWomen [[supersecretspoiler:(Or, in this case, [[MarsNeedsWomen Frog Needs Faerie Girls]].)]]
* MaskOfPower: The masks utilized by Sonic, the Masks of the Followers, and Majora's Mask.
* MoralEventHorizon: The Skull Kid for [[spoiler:killing Tael for "speaking out of line", then proceeding to wiping Termina out with the rogue Moon in the First Sequence.]]
* NeglectfulPrecursors: Subverted with the [[spoiler:Four Giants and the Goddess of Time.]]
* NighInvulnerable: [[spoiler:Lanmola and Moldorm, due to the Heart Container halves of the Ikana Giant, granted to them by Amoraj.]]
* NonActionGuy: Tael.
* NoHoldsBarredBeatdown: [[spoiler:Issued onto Tatl by Skull Kid in the First Sequence.]]
* NoJustNo: Tatl's reaction upon discovering [[spoiler:Gekko's obsession with her, and what he plans to do to her with his new [[NaughtyTentacles hair-like tentacles]].]]
** Sonic's reaction upon discovering an old pictograph of [[spoiler:Wizrobe and ''both'' Twinrova Sisters (when they were significantly younger and [[IWasQuiteALooker significantly more attractive]]) ''[[IfYouKnowWhatIMean in the moment]]''.]]
* NotSoHarmless: To Sonic and Tatl's [[{{Understatement}} surprise]], [[spoiler:Gekko]].
* {{Novelization}}
* TheObiwan: [[spoiler:Kaepora Gaebora.]]
* OhCrap: Tatl has one near the end of the story. [[spoiler:After the Skull Kid's defeat, she starts going on about how much of an idiot he was. A mysterious voice agrees with her, and she emphatically continues, thinking it's the Skull Kid coming to his senses... until she realizes it's ''[[ArtifactOfDoom Majora]], the very thing that she thought was little more than a ''mask'', speaking...]]
* OlderThanTheyLook: Venus, despite appearing to be in the human equivalent of her late 20s, is actually 500 years old, older than the town she resides over.
* OneHeadTaller: Sonic and Tatl, with Tatl as the taller of the pair.
* OneWingedAngel: [[spoiler:Gekko. Starting out as an orange, anthropomorphic frog barely taller than Sonic and Tatl, once he was enhanced by the Skull Kid's dark powers after his initial defeat in the Woodfall Temple, he was morphed into a seven-foot-tall, electric-blue behemoth of a frog with long, Sonic-like hair tentacles and control over a dozen of the slime-like Mad Jellies. Once he was felled the first time in the Great Bay Temple, the Mad Jellies, reacting to his [[SoulJar Heart Container]], merged with him, further mutating him into a huge salamander-like slime-amphibian monstrosity called the Mad Gekko, with [[MakingASplash complete control over the water]] in the temple.]]
** [[spoiler: Lanmola, one of the Twinmold Insects. After witnessing her brother's death by the hands of Sonic and Tatl, she absorbed his half of the Ikana Giant's Heart Container into herself. She transformed from a giant, red centipede with red, flaming "hair" to a colossi-sized centipede whose ''[[{{Squick}} mouth-eye]]'' is the size of the top of the very building they're fighting on, with violet, electrically flamed "hair" stretching the entire length of their body.]]
* OurFairiesAreDifferent: Unlike in [[TheLegendOfZeldaMajorasMask the game]] (where they are just hand-sized, winged orbs of light), the common faeries in this story are all around Sonic's size, brightly colored, and humanoid in shape.
* OurSoulsAreDifferent: Heart Containers, the metaphysical manifestation of a person's soul. The more powerful a person is, the larger and more crystallized their Heart Container will appear. Heart Containers of particularly powerful entities can even manifest into their own separate beings. Beings of god-like caliber harbor Heart Containers of truly limitless power. [[spoiler:Majora's Mask is Amoraj's warped Heart Container, made into a mask.]]
* PintsizedPowerhouse: Despite his (even more) diminutive size, Sonic the Deku Scrub still retains [[SuperSpeed some]] [[SpinAttack of]] [[BlowYouAway his]] [[SpamAttack techniques]] from his normal form.
* PointyEars: Excluding the Gorons and [[FishPeople Zoras]], the folks of Termina have them.
* ProudWarriorRaceGuy: [[spoiler:Dinalfos of the Dinofols Clan.]]
* SandWorm: [[spoiler:Lanmola and Moldorm, the Giant Masked Insects, reside in the remains of Hollow Nocturne, situated in the desert-like dimension deep inside the Stone Tower Temple.]]
* SchizoTech: [[spoiler:The Great Bay Temple, in great contrast to the rest of Termina. Despite being just as ancient as the other temples, it is very technologically advanced, not unlike Eggman's factories from Earth.]]
* ShoutOut: For starters, the title of the story itself. Its current title is partially a reference to one of Sonic's [[FanNickname Fan Nicknames]]. Its original title, ''Sonic and the Mask of Majora'', was intended to be a reference to ''{{Sonic and the Secret Rings}}''.
** Tatl's odd habit of emphasizing her words whenever it's something of note (in her opinion) is a reference to the use of RainbowSpeak throughout ''TheLegendOfZelda'' series, specifically when anything of note is brought to attention.
* ShrinkingViolet: Tael the Faerie, a male example.
* SignificantAnagram: [[spoiler:Majora -> Amoraj. Doubles as a BilingualBonus, as the first four letters of her name, ''amor'', is, among other languages, Spanish for love, typically symbolized by the image of a ''heart''.]]
* SpamAttack: Sonic's preferred form of melee attack.
* {{Squick}}: [[spoiler:What Gekko [[HotSkittyOnWailordAction ultimately plans on doing with Tatl]]. [[{{Lolicon}} Age differences aside]], [[MarsNeedsWomen he harbors his desire for...mating with her]], [[OneWingedAngel even after morphing into an abomination]] ''[[HugeGuyTinyGirl far]]'' [[HugeGuyTinyGirl too large]] [[ORingOrifice for her]], ''[[ORingOrifice a one-meter-tall faerie]]'', [[ORingOrifice to actually]] '''''[[ORingOrifice survive]]''''' [[ORingOrifice afterwards]]...]]
* SpeciesSurname: Sonic the ''Hedgehog'', Tatl (and Tael) the ''Faerie'', [[spoiler:Gekko the ''Frog'']]...
* StalkerWithACrush: [[spoiler:Gekko.]]
* {{Starboarding}}: [[spoiler:Tatl, towards Sonic.]]
* SuperMode: [[spoiler:Used by the Masked Followers of Majora, as well as Gekko, Garo Master, and Majora herself, when they're close to death.]]
* SuperSpeed: Sonic the Hedgehog, [[spoiler:even in his Goron form.]]
* TeethClenchedTeamwork: Sonic and Tatl's relationship.[[supersecretspoiler:..in the beginning, anyway.]]
* TitleDrop: Occurs at least once in the story. [[spoiler:In reference to how Sonic appeared into the ranch, Romani referred to Sonic as the "Blue Blur", to which [[DeadpanSnarker Tatl]] quipped about him being the "Blue Blur of Termina". Sonic was not amused.]]
* TransportersAndTeleporters: [[spoiler:The Song of Soaring and the Chaos Control.]]
* WhipItGood: [[spoiler:Majora’s Wrath and Amoraj, Majora’s [[BishonenLine original form]], [[DualWielding dual wields]] long, red whips.]]
* WingedHumanoid: The Faeries. [[spoiler:Venus the Great Faerie]], in particular, sports ''twelve''.
