* ItsAllMyFault: Ikharos blames himself for Lennox's death and cut off all ties with Jaxson because he couldn't bear looking at him while knowing that he was the reason TheHeart of their fireteam was gone. The fact that the Consensus publicly blamed him for Lennox's death and exiled him over it only affirmed his feelings of guilt.

* EvilVsEvil: [[spoiler:After the Hive arrive on Kepler via stowing away on the Cabal warships, they quickly go on the warpath against the Harmony. It's noted that if either side manages to defeat the other, it would spell doom for all of Kepler since both sides use the [[VictorGainsLosersPowers Sword Logic]]. If the Harmony win, the power they gain from killing the Hive would make Nezarec all but unstoppable. If the Hive win, they will absorb the Harmony's powers and go on to exterminate all life on Kepler. It's because of this that Ikharos is determined to destroy the Hive ''before'' they can reach the Harmony.]]

* AdaptationalSympathy: Downplayed. In canon, all thirteen of the Forsworn willingly joined Galbatorix's cause for reasons ranging from wanting more power to seeking revenge. Here, it's revealed that a few of the Forsworn, including Formora and her brother, were ForcedIntoEvil by Galbatorix, who used their [[IKnowYourTrueName true names]] to control them.

* VillainOfAnotherStory: Galbatorix is still present in the setting but doesn't play a direct role in the main plot. Although Ikharos knows he's evil, he never really goes after Galbatorix since he has bigger fish to fry like the Fallen and Cabal.

The fic was received its last update on February 11, 2022 before it was [[OrphanedSeries discontinued]] by the author. On September 15, 2022, Keltoi posted a rewritten version of the story titled ''Fanfic/NoStarsInSight''.

''Stargazer'' follows the team's Warlock: Ikharos Torstil. During a search for a missing Golden Age colony ship in a foreign star system, Ikharos and his Ghost Xiān find themselves stranded on an alien world after their jumpship is mysteriously shot down. Finding that the human colonists have since regressed to a medieval state of technology, Ikharos embarks on an adventure across the continent of Alagaesia where he soon uncovers a dark conspiracy behind the Fall of the Dragon Riders.

[[spoiler:When the Harmony finally emerge from hiding, they make short work of Krinok's empire and drag the would-be conqueror away to be sacrificed for one of their rituals.]]
