Emerald wasn't trying to make it sound like that, and she wasn't describing the New York Zone, it was simply because the description made Earth sound like a whole planet that's like the everfree forest- a ‘strange’ and ‘unnatural’ place where plants grow on their own, the weather isn't controlled by ponies, and the animals take care of themselves (and may even eat you if they’re hungry enough).
