* MakeMeWannaShout: Black Canary does this. She can trigger it by accident in times of emotional stress, which Renka causes a few times.

Renka is a 19-year-old OriginalCharacter who spent her teen life surviving the events of Literature/MistbornTheOriginalTrilogy and has spent her life since the Catascendre helping everyone rebuild, as the last living [[FunctionalMagic Feruchemist]]. But death comes eventually to everyone, and [[BigGood Harmony]] catches her on the way to the afterlife, offering her a chance to go through an [[OutsideContextProblem inexplicable weak point in the world]] and explore what is there. Renka accepts, and ends up homeless, jobless, paperless, and penniless in the ''WesternAnimation/YoungJustice2010'' universe. That’s the prologue.

** Averted first when Ferris turns 20, on August 16. Kaldur takes her to Atlantis while the others prepare her party, and nothing goes wrong. The [[MeaningfulName title even identifies it]] as a BreatherEpisode, since it’s called [[JustForPun Inspire, Respire, Expire]].

* BareYourMidriff: Artemis does until events convince her to add some extra armor. Ferris does not, and in fact her full field uniform covers all of her skin below her head.

* AsskickingEqualsAuthority: Defied in the Team, as none of the best fighters (Ferris, Robin, Superboy) are suited for leadership, so [[JackOfAllStats Aqualad]] ends up in command. Also, in the Light, only [[TheArchmage Klarion the Witch Boy]] is a truly dangerous fighter.

* RationalFic: This story has shades of it, but just as often comes up with reasonable in-universe reasons for the irrational events as having them replaced by rational occurrences. Also, people don’t always have perfect information or judgment, so everything tends to be a GambitPileup.

* MostCommonSuperpower: Defied. While some of the grown adult women have it, the team generally does not. Ferris is the only one out of her teens (she turns 20 in August of the story), and her chest size is not specifically mentioned or made a point of.

* LoadsAndLoadsOfCharacters: Obloquy mentioned that s/he has killed a few hours looking around DC wikis for characters or inspiration. Many of them only show up once, in part of a larger plot, but some of them show up more often after the first time.

* AdultFear: Ferris tends to worry about this much more than others on the Team, and her mission activities on her own time reflect it; in China she raids a human trafficking ship and has to help console the women, dealing with a traumatized (though for other reasons) girl.
