* AdultsAreUseless: [[AvertedTrope Averted]]; despite the plan ultimately hinging on Shinsou, Aizawa, Haru, Nedzu, and later All Might are all extremely competent and take as many steps as possible to keep Shinsou as safe as possible. Likewise, Kurogiri, one of the oldest members of the League, is probably the most competent and level-headed.

Shinsou Hitoshi wants to be a hero, but with his quirk, all anyone sees in him is a villain. But maybe that can be put to good use.

Nedzu ''knows'' there's a traitor in his school, but not how to find them. Instead, he hopes he can get them to reveal themself. For that, he recruits Shinsou to be the linchpin of his plan: Shinsou must ''pretend'' to be what people already think he is; he must pretend to be a delinquent, a villain in the making, and he must pretend so well that the League Of Villain's spy will try to recruit him.

It works. [[GoneHorribleRight Far too well]].
