** In their last ever meeting, Izuku flips over Bakugu and places his heel on Bakugou's wrist, both of them knowing all too well that if Izuku chose to, he could break Bakugou's wrists right there and then, and he would never be able to use his quirk again without excruciating pain. He doesn't go through with it, but that moment haunts Bakugou for the rest of the fic.

** The premise of the fic is that Izuku is now a VillainProtagonist. While he still wants to --and still does-- help people, he's a self-admitted villain who occasionally resorts to very questionable means (massive property damage, blackmail, theft, etc) to achieve his goals.

** With Quirks this trope is a given, but a standout case is that it's implied that [[spoiler:taking One For All has somehow fused Izuku's DNA with that of all the previous users, which leads to inconclusive results when the Hero Commision try to test DNA samples he left behind.]]

* AttackTheInjury: Due to Izuku not being a UA student in this fic, during the exam Bakugo gets paired up with Shouto in the fight against All Might. Shouto, in a display of {{Combat Pragmatis|t}}m, exploits the info given to him by Izuku to attack All Might's crippling injury and buy them time.
* AuthorAppeal: Website/{{Tumblr}} is practically the only social media platform mentioned in the fic that's not Clamor (which is the InUniverse version of Discord), and at one point we are treated to a long series of posts in it. The only character mentioned to have an account in any other website is Hawks who has a Twitter, and absolutely no attention is drawn to this. Tumblr and Discord are Gentrychild's only social media.

* ButtMonkey: Dabi tends to get a lot of mistreatment. Getting attacked by students from minor hero schools looking for thrills, being targeted by that same student because it could get put on his permanent record, having his home constantly invaded by his boss, his younger brother, and occasionally All For One, only getting served peanuts by Kurogiri, [[spoiler:getting tracked down by Hawks, getting dropped into the Ocean by Kurogiri for inviting Hawks into his bar because he had a box of donuts, getting forced into being Hawks's handler, having to face off against Gang Orca, Eraserhead, Lemillion, and All Might]]... the man doesn't get a break. He does seem to consider it to be worth it, since he gets to be in contact with his brother, have a bank account that isn't crying anytime he buys something not necessary for survival, and gets RequiredSecondaryPowers for his quirk.

** Shouto figured out that [[spoiler:All For One is Izuku's father]], but whenever he tries to bring it up Izuku reacts with complete denial.

* CripplingOverspecialization: Outside of their Exemplars and Paragons, the Hero Commission seems to only want people with flashy combat-oriented Quirks to be heroes. Tensei notes how many people with Quirks well suited towards support, information gathering, or even healing are simply denied the opportunity to become heroes.

** [[spoiler:Nightmare's]] death isn't pretty. The description doesn't go into details but the glimpses of it involving pieces of him sticking to the wall and ceiling, leaving behind only enough clues to identify him. And from what [[spoiler:All For One]] tells him, his death is neither quick nor brutal but methodically dragging long enough for the victim to wish for death.

* ADayInTheLimelight: [[spoiler:A mini-arc that takes place during Izuku's vacation in Dubai focuses on the girl who electrocuted him Inazuma, and her rival Naru. Particularly, Naru's point of view as unbenknownst to her, All For One subtly feeds into her resentment for Inazuma until she kills her out of frustration.]]

** Dabi knows that nobody will recognize his as Todoroki Touya and he has no legal identity, so he never bothers hiding his face when doing jobs for Anyone. This backfires on him hard when Hawks tracks him down. Izuku assigns Dabi to be Hawks's handler in the group as punishment for being an idiot.

* ForWantOfANail: Several nails, in fact.
** Izuku's electrocution by a classmate led to him being homeschooled while his mom works away as a chef, which produces the environment needed to cause the events of Anyone.
** Before that, is All Might's and All for One's battle happening earlier than canon, resulting in Tenko not being raised by All for One, the Hero Commission having a larger, corrupting reach, and [[spoiler:All for One's own family (Inko and Izuku) suffering until the above-mentioned nail eased things.]]
** Because All Might's and All for One's battle took place earlier and All for One was imprisoned [[spoiler:several of his followers continued to work on Number Six, who now leads this world's League of Villians.]]
** The above nails combined with Izuku's vacation to Dubai mean that [[spoiler:the I-Island incident]] will never take place in this fic, because the villains involved in it got arrested.
** Hawks was asked to infiltrate Anyone instead of the League of Villains. Because of that, he was too busy at the time of the Sports Festival to watch it and therefore never took Tokoyami as his intern.
** While the fight against Stain was very similar to the canon one (though after Stain was taken down it devolved into a Gran Torino vs Izuku match), one of the League of Villains members took a video of the entire confrontation and posted it online immediately afterwards. As a result, the credit for taking down Stain goes to Izuku as opposed to Endeavor.

** After Shouto manages to [[spoiler:recreate his brother's blue flames during the exam fight against All Might]], he ends up with burns all over that need both the Recovery Girl's aid and extra treatment. This is despite Shouto have heat resistance ''and'' ice powers to cool him down.

* IAmNotLeftHanded: After his win at the UA Sports Festival and the duel with Izuku at Dagobah beach, Shouto decides to reveal to Katsuki that he can also use fire. Katsuki's response was the loudest scream he ever made.

* InTheHood: Izuku's standard look when doing work as Anyone. His come specially outfitted with a built-in veil that creates the obligatory "face concealed in shadow" look.

* MistakenForRelated: Shouto is absolutely certain that Izuku is All For One's son, and even made an excessively long Power Point presentation on the subject. Dabi on the other hand thinks Izuku is related to All Might. [[spoiler:Averted from Shouto's side when a one-shot from All For One's point of view reveals that he ''really is'' Izuku's father.]]

* MoodWhiplash: [[spoiler:In the middle of the Muscular attempting to kill Kouta, Kurogiri warps Izuku right above them... resulting in Muscular bridal carrying Izuku. Muscular and Kouta are so stunned that they don't even question Izuku's presence and resort to being polite when he asked where the UA campsite is.]]

** One of the requests at the Anyone website is about cleaning Dagobah beach.

* PaperThinDisguise: Shouto's appearance becomes very well-known to the general public after he wins the sports festival, so when outside he disguises himself by wearing a cap to hide his hair. That's it. He explains that it takes a bit more doing (such as adjusting his body language etc), but it's rather astonishing that this actually works.

* WeHelpTheHelpless: The purpose of Anyone as a whole is to help people who can't get help from official channels. Izuku insists on paying them their due - for example, pay the lawyers they hire for their hours. They also take advantage of Hawks when he tries to infiltrate Anyone - while as a pro-hero this is actually his job, in Anyone many people specifically send him tasks of various severity to ask for help.

** Shouto meets Izuku shortly after his initial encounter with All Might, and by that point, they have known each other for an unclarified ammount of time. In canon, Izuku met Shouto ten months after that and they haven't had a proper talk until the sports festival.

** Likewise, Shouto as his number two commits a lot of crimes, being an active vigilante as oposed to just a hero student. He actually ponders on this trope somewhat as he's aware of his deteriorating moral compass.

* AllThereInTheManual: Gentrychild posts a lot of background information in the author notes, comment replies and tumblr that are not mentioned in the fic. For example, Izuku taking a selfie with [[spoiler:the Kaiju]] is only mentioned in the author notes of the chapter.

* AnimalMotifs: Cats for All For One. In several occasions various characters compare him with a stray cat, and other people note that he has a feline grace. Izuku is also noted to have a cat motif on some rare occasions.

* ArmyOfLawyers: After the Hero Comision starts arresting suspected Anyone members, various lawyers that have connections for the group aid them en-masse pro bono partially because it will look good on their resumes and partially out of good will.

* AttackTheInjury: Due to Izuku not being a UA student in this fic, during the exam Bakugo gets paired up with Shouto in the fight against All Might. Shouto, in a display of {{Combat Pragmatis|t}}m, exploits the info given to him by Izuku to attack All Might cripling injury and buy them time.

* BadassInANiceSuit: All For One, who is undeniably the most badass person in the fic and always wears expensive suits regardless of occasion.

** All For One doesn't like it when someone touches his family, especially Izuku. Just asks the guy who stole their money, or better yet [[spoiler:ask Nightmare, who brutalizes Izuku]]... Oh wait, they're both dead.

* BestServedCold: All For One's approach to taking revenge for anyone who ever wronged Izuku. Instead of killing them he aranges accidents or airs their dirty laundry and lets the law do the rest. He prefers to prolong the suffering for as long as possible.

* BridalCarry: [[spoiler:Kurogiri warps Izuku outside the fire perimeter of the UA camp site, and straight into Muscular's arms.]] Izuku is determined to pretend this never happened.

* CantHoldHisLiquor: [[spoiler:Shouto drinks one shot on cogniac and gets so drunk that he actually skips the "drunk" phase to get to the hangover phase. He falls asleep clutching a box of strawberry milk like a teddy bear.]]

** Played for laughs; Dabi is under the impression that Shouto is joking when relaying some of the incidents prior to him joining, such as Izuku accidentally freeing All For One from prison or him and Shouto helping plant drugs in a pro-hero's car. He's horrified to realize that they're not joking at all. Izuku wonders how come the aspiring father-killing pyromaniac is the OnlySaneMan.

** Izuku proves to be an even bigger one by specifically choosing the "battlefield" in his spar against Shouto (the still dirty Dagobah beach) so Izuku gets the most advantage, and even setting up some stuff prior. By the time the fight is over - with Izuku's victory - Shouto is left wondering on how many levels he's beaten.

* ConflictingLoyalty: Kurogiri originally was a part of All For One's organization, but after his supposed death he joined Anyone. However, ever since All For One broke out, his loyalty towards him very oftenly results in relaying information about Anyone that put them in an increasingly difficult position. For example, [[spoiler:he's the one who told All For One about All Might's presence during the Harbor Disaster, and he actively hinders Izuku when he requests to be wrapped to the UA Summer Camp by sending him outside the fire perimeter.]]

** A far less humourous variant is how Anyone retaliates when [[spoiler:Shinsou lures them into the Hero Commission's trap]]. Instead of deleting his account or attacking him, they instead post his username to everyone in the server and describe what he did (though somewhat censored so they don't reveal his personal information). [[spoiler:Shinsou]] ends up assaulted with countless messages that range from death threats to people sharing their stories with him and explaining that because [[spoiler:he cried wolf, now Anyone won't be able to help people who need it]].

* CoverBlowingSuperpower: Shouto was part of the operation to steal One For All, using his ice quirk to [[ImColdSoCold simulate death]]; as such, he takes care how he uses his ice when he meets All Might again out of concern he'll realize that.
* CrazyEnoughToWork: Dabi and Izuku's plan to [[spoiler:stop All Might and All For One's fight]]. It involves Izuku [[spoiler:dropping a several ton cargo crane on the two of them, and then playing dead so All For One comes to check on him (distracting him from All Might), and finishing with Izuku screaming at All For One's face]].
* CripplingOverspecialization: Outside of their Exemplars and Paragons, the Hero Commission seems to only want people with flashy combat oriented Quirks to be heroes. * DarkerAndEdgier: [[spoiler:The summer training camp raid as a whole. The League of Villains is far more compentent this time around. They waited several days before attacking the camp so everyone would be exhausted, and the casualties among the students are far more severe; Shinsou and Bakugou are crippled and several other students are severely injured.]]
* DeathGlare: One of Izuku's classmates, Hebisuga, is particularly adept at these. It helps that she has snake hair that will also stare down whoever she's glaring at. [[spoiler:It takes a slightly more literal turn when it's revealed that she also has the ability to [[TakenForGranite (temporarily) petrify]] people she makes eye-contact with, though it blurs her vision for a while afterward.]]

* EasilyOverheardConversation: One scene takes place from the point of view of a person whose quirk gives him SuperHearing; he specifically goes to cinemas to listen in to the conversations and reactions of the movie goers, akin to watching a live reaction video. Unfortunately for him, one of those conversations is Izuku and All For One discussing the realism of gore in horror movies.

** After Izuku and Shouto's brutal beatdown in Dagobah beach, half the area gets completely cleared from all the trash just from their destructive power. The police and the pro-heroes assume the incident was the result of several extremely power villains fighting each other instead of two teenagers.

** All For One genuinely loves his family, including his long dead little brother.

** The main reason why Dabi had such a hard time finding a job - any kind of job - prior to joining Anyone is because he looks like a Villain regardless of what his "alignment" is. Who the hell would hire the guy who stapples his burnt skin in place?
** In a more general note, Izuku notes that people with vicious-looking mutations have difficulty finding jobs, so Anyone offers job-finding services to them.

* FantasticRacism: The plight of the Quirkless is far, ''far'' worse here than it is in canon, with Quirkless individuals not only subjected to horrible treatment but also blocked from good schools or jobs at every level of society; it's stated that most commit suicide. It's also implied it wasn't nearly as bad when All Might was young, as he never suffered such discrimination before receiving One For All, and is utterly unaware of how bad things have gotten since then.

** Those in the know have noted that the tests to become a Pro Hero are "mysteriously" far easier for people who have flashy combat oriented Quirks.

* FingerGun: Played for drama. Izuku uses this gesture to remind All For One that [[spoiler:he promised to destroy him if he ever attacked All Might]]. [[spoiler:All Might]] thinks that the gesture would normally look ridiculous, but under the circumstances he appreciates the sheer RefugeInAudacity in it.

** Before that, is All Might's and All for One's battle happening earlier than canon, resulting in Tenko not being raised by All for One, the Hero Commission having a larger, corrupting reach and [[spoiler:All for One's own family (Inko and Izuku) suffering until the above mentioned nail eased things.]]

* FoulFirstDrink: [[spoiler:Seeking a way to contact the vestiges, Izuku resorts to alcohol after meditation fails, and Shouto joins him. They both regret it immedietely.]]

** In one of Anyone's "help someone escape their abusive boyfriend/girlfriend" operations, the abusive boyfriend attempts to run over the volunteers with their car. They suggest reporting this to the police, but the ex-girlfriend reveals he's a pro. So the volunteers from Anyone decide to deal with this by planting drugs in his car that they aquired from a previous "abusive girlfriend" operation and have the police arrest him for that.
** The Hero Commision blames All For One for the attacks on the USJ and Hosu because the multi-quirked Nomu's make them think that he's allied with the League of Villains when in reality he's hunting them down. [[spoiler:He's certain that he'll get blamed for the attack on the UA summer camp as well]].

** [[spoiler:The Harbor Disaster. It starts with Izuku supposedly going to rescue someone, then Shinshou brainwashes him, One For All ''snaps'', Aizawa and Gang Orca get involved, Dabi shows up and suddenly the whole harbor is on fire, Lemillion attacks Dabi while Izuku is trying to calm everyone down, ''All Might'' shows up to attack Izuku, and then ''All For One'' attacks All Might, leading to Izuku trying to break them up. The whole incident led to millions if not billions in damage, eveyone ''except'' Shinsou and All For One leaving worse for the wear, a bunch of people discovering All Might's secret, and the existence of Anyone being revealed to the public.]]

* GoKartingWithBowser: Izuku ends up as the Bowser in the equation when he goes to play videogames with Nagisa's college friends, and one of them is [[spoiler:Shimura Tenko]]. He only realizes this trope is in play when [[spoiler:Gran Torino shows up with coockies. Later he asks Nagisa why she didn't do any background checks on her friend group.]]

** All For One says that the reason he doesn't just hand out quirks like candy is because the human mind is not usually equipped to handle more than one Quirk at the time. Simply slipping a heat resistance quirk to Dabi - which is just a passive thing - is enough to knock him out for a while, and even so it's a miracle that his brains didn't turn into mush. He mentions that there's only one instance of someone handling more than two quirks at the time (said person peaking at seven), but that's only because his original quirk is endurance.

** Hanabata is portrayed almost exclusively as a manipulative bitch for the Hero Commision, speaking carefully and dressed as the perfect image of a professional, up until the aftermath of [[spoiler:the Harbor Disaster]]. She shows up for the next day's meeting in jeans and an old rock-band t-shirt, clearly too tired to care, and tells everyone else not to bother dressing up either. She's still is a manipulative bitch but she very much has her limits.

** All For One similarly has many alliases he goes by.

* ImplacableMan: [[spoiler:Rokuro, a.k.a. Number 6]], thanks to his HealingFactor. Stabbed? He absorbes the knife. [[spoiler:Being HalfTheManHeUsedToBe due to a PortalCut? He regenerates the other half.]]

* InstantSedation: All For One isn't above lacing a drink with drugs if he wants someone he cares about to get a decent shuteye. [[spoiler:Yoichi admits that until he was fifteen, he seriously thought that hot chocolate was the kind of beverage that instantly maded you fall asleep.]]

* IronicEcho: Discussed. After Izuku [[spoiler:unlocks the sixth electricity quirk]] and immedietely gets issues with it due to his past trauma, Shouto asks him if it's too soon to tell him "it's ''your'' Quirk", which is a CallBack to Izuku giving Shouto a similar speech regarding ''his'' Quirk.

** Stain thinks he's getting rid of corrupt heroes, while in reality the Hero Commision is using him to keep the corrupt system intact.

* ItsAllMyFault: All Might admits that he feels responsible for all of the Thief's actions as he knows his tactless handling of Izuku and his ignorance to the current plights of the quirkless led to him becoming a villain. Tenko reminds him that FreudianExcuseIsNoExcuse.

* LaughingMad: Izuku's reaction when Stain told him that the reason he killed all those people with parasitic Quirks was for All Might's sake. Iida Tenya describes it as something filled with despair, sadness and insanity.

** Hawks has no idea that Yami and Anyone are the same person even though he's only outsider who's ever met the inner circle of the organization.

* MistakenForGay: [[spoiler:Endeavor's first thought upon seeing Izuku sneaking into his house and hugging Shouto is that they're dating. Unlike many other instances of this trope, his main thought is hoping that it was a student from Gen. Ed, since the Support department students were insane and Izuku wasn't in either of the Hero courses.]]

** Dabi is working as one for All For One in Izuku's organization. He made no effort to hide it; in fact he straight up told Izuku via text.

* MoodWhiplash: [[spoiler:In the middle of the Muscular attempting to kill Kouta, Kurogiri warps Izuku right above them... resulting in Muscular bridal carrying Izuku. Muscular and Kouta are so stunned that they don't even question Izuku's presence and resort to being polite when he asked where the UA camp site is.]]

** The pro heroes who are specifically funded by the Hero Commision are usually there to do their dirty work. It ranges all the way from BlackAndWhiteInsanity ([[spoiler:Stain]]) to ToBeLawfulOrGood to straight up Black.

** Anyone as a group has two distinct moralities. The civilians who make up most of the server range from white to ALighterShadeOfGrey, as they make each other favours with occasionally illegal means, but are mostly good people. The core members however are a mixed villain-vigilante group that has commited several crimes against pro-heroes and villains alike.

* MoreThanMindControl: The Hero Commision's Hanabata has a quirk that makes whoever she's talking to immedietely trust her and assume she has their best interests at heart. This is a prime tool for manipulating people.

** Dabi's introduction is him being harassed by some random students from a second or third rate hero school. One of them even has a weak fire quirk that Dabi considers an insult to all fire quirks.

*** The first time, Izuku and All For One are casually talking when a man tries to mug them with a knife. The pair actually stop and share a look of confusion that some random thug is trying to mug ''them''. Izuku mentally notes the man's holding the knife wrong and is too far away to properly attack them anyway. He then explains to the would be mugger that he doesn't have a way to disable him without injuring him, while All For One will give him a quick death if he's feeling merciful. The mugger gives them his money and runs off.

*** In a display of RuleOfThree, the Random Guy attempts to mug Izuku ''again'' (along with Shoto) before realizing who it is. Izuku was just about done with the universe that day so he orders the guy to stop commiting crimes or else he'll die.

* MundaneLuxury: Izuku realizes that All For One considers the ability to live an ordinary life this - for him, being able to do things such as cooking, walking around or being in contact with other people are the greatest blessings. Izuku concludes that this attitude is the result of All For One spending a decade restrained in complete isolation, which understandably led to psychological damage. [[spoiler:He uses this as an ultanimum against All For One to set boundaries regarding his involvement in Anyone.]]

** Shouto initially contacted the Anyone server to get help with his quirk, because overusing his ice side caused him hypothermia. Izuku suggested he wears heat insulating clothing.

* MundaneUtility: One of Izuku's classmates has a quirk that lets her heat one part of her body at the time. She uses it on her fingers to straighten her hair.

* NeverFoundTheBody: Notably averted by All Might, who went to great lengths to track down All For One's body after it was removed from the battlefield after their fateful showdown. Good thing he did, because All For One was most definitely NotQuiteDead. All Might made sure to personally deliver All For One to [[TheAlcatraz Tartarus]] after that. [[spoiler:And then it ends up invoked anyway, because Tartarus tells All Might that All For One died on the operating table. A decade later, All For One is accidently broken out by Izuku and Eri.]]

** All-Might's half lie about why he's losing his power results in Stain murdering any teenager he can find with a parasite quirk.

** During Izuku's vacation to Dubai, Dabi, Hawks and Kurogiri somehow obtained a life-sized statue of [=FatGum=] and a matching hoodie that could fit the hero. No explanation is given for this.
* NothingIsScarier: Random Guy, the mugged Ken, thinks that Izuku is scarier than All For One because of this trope. While with All For One it was clear the man wanted to kill him, he has absolutely no idea what Izuku wants to do with him and he finds the uncertainty far more terrifying that the clear threat.

** All for One: who said it wasn’t him who gave Izuku [[spoiler:Black Whip]]. No believed him.
** Izuku: All for One assumed Izuku [[spoiler:stole another quirk, until he realized it was Black Whip, which came from One For All]], as if he has any right to accuse Anyone of quirk theft.

** Aizawa feels a fair bit of sadistic glee at the news that [[spoiler:the Commision inspector got her car stolen during the Harbor Disaster and asks Nezu not to tell him who did it unless it was Shinsou so he can give him extra credit.]]

** Later Yuuto states he thinks Stain is pretty cool and that he has a point about a lot of heroes being OnlyInItForTheMoney. Izuku reminds him Stain murdered several heroes in cold blood, while Hebisuga points out that Yuuto is attending a private school with the intent of landing a high paying job.

* ParanoiaFuel: InUniverse. Technically, Anyone is a support group for people who need help but can't get it through official channels. From the Hero Commission's perspective, they're the largest villain group in Japan and are so dangerous because, like they name implies, they could be anyone.

* PetBabyWildAnimal: Eri and her adoptive sister try to convice their parents to adopt a dingo. Izuku asks for pictures if they succeed.

** In order to keep the true nature of his quirk a secret from the Hero Commision (which he doesn't trust), All Might resorts to a half-truth, saying that a teenager did something and is now draining his power away. The Commision thinks that it's a parasitic quirk, and as a result Stain starts attacking people with parasitic quirks on top of his hero hunt.

* ReasonableAuthorityFigure: Aizawa is perfectly correct in reminding Hanabata that Shinso is falling behind in his classes and that it's necessary he attends and works out if he wants a Hero carreer. However, Shinso's frustration with constatnly being told either that his quirk is villainous or that he needs to work harder than everyone else leads to his interning with the Hero Commision dedspite Aizawa's perfectly reasonable doubts.

* RingOfFire: [[spoiler:The League of Villains surrounds the entire UA Summer Camp grounds with fire to prevent anyone from going in or out. Unfortunately for Izuku, he is wrapped ''out'' of the flaming perimeter.]]
* TheRunaway: Shouto first meets Izuku when he tries to run away from home. Izuku talks him out of it by pointing out [[DidntThinkThisThrough how rash this decision was]] and how Shouto is not capable of taking care of himself at him current state, and his father is famous so it would create a whole lot of issues.
* RuleOfCool: Initially, the hoodies with specially made veils to hide a person's face in shadows were sold so people could hide mutant type quirks. Later, people kept buying them because the effect looked so cool.

** Izuku and Shouto hiding random stuff in Dabi's apartment, and him finding out only when the pull them out.

** [[spoiler:As Dabi points out, both Izuku and All For One are villains who are the shadow leaders of organizations that work by exchanging favours. They also both have great analytical minds, they love analuzing quirks, and they're both the types to talk during movies - they're fond of the horror genre.]]

* SheCleansUpNicely: Dabi mysteriously acquires a dark blue three piece suit that according to Hawks "highlights his eyes".

** Shouto is more worried about Izuku who's safe in his home instead of [[spoiler:his classmates being attacked by the League of Villains in the middle of the night]]. Somewhat subverted in that he knows that Izuku would immedietely ran over there as soon as he found out.

* StartXToStopX: Dabi says that literally fighting fire with fire is actually very effective, providing you're the stronger one, because the stronger flame essentially steals the oxygen supply.

* StunnedSilence: Endeavor and his sidekicks' reaction when Shouto takes down a Nomu in just a few seconds before anyone else could react (he instantly froze it and then cut off one of its limbs with a car door). It's implied by the naration that they were shocked by the sheer brutality of the takedown.

* SupremeChef: All For One is an amazing chef. The only person Izuku thinks can do better is his mother, who's a professional chef that works all around the world in places like New York City and Dubai. Though, that comparison was made early on when Izuku almost refused to eat All For One's cooking.

** Interestingly, ''All Might'' is presented as this whenever he fights, because all the fights he participates in [[spoiler:with the exception of the one against All For One]] are narrated from the viewpoint of his ''oponents''. His strength is described as "god-like" ''several'' times, he is described as merciless towards his enemies, and all his oponents have [[ItsPersonal personal]] reasons to be terrified of him, such as [[spoiler:Katsuki fearing what'll happen if All Might finds out he lied]] or Shouto being terrified that All Might will identify him as the ice user the day his quirk got stolen. At one point, even [[spoiler:Dabi]] got paralyzed with fear just from ''seeing'' All Might fight.
* TheyLookJustLikeEveryoneElse: The main reason that Anyone is such a source of ParanoiaFuel InUniverse is because it's impossible to tell who is a member - other than Dabi who has a very distinct look, and the Hosu vigilante (who is Izuku in disguise), it's impossible to tell who could be a member because the entire userbase is made up of ordinary people.

** Anytime All For One prepares to kill the ones who [[spoiler:hurt his family]], he always has a mask of complete calmness and even affable. But of course, the victims know who he is so that just makes the whole thing all the more terrifying.

* TykeBomb: The Paragons. Top tier, exceptional heroes, raised and trained from childhood by the Hero Public Safety Commission. Hawks is one, [[spoiler:and the Commission kidnapped Eri to raise her as one as well]]. They are well funded and very good at their jobs. [[spoiler:Said jobs being whatever the Commission wants, and since the Commission has control of their bank accounts, the Paragon doesn't have much choice in the matter.]]
* UncannyValley: InUniverse, [[spoiler:Michael]] of the League of Villains. This trope is namedropped as he's described as someone who "feels wrong, in ways that are hard to perceive", and that there are thousands little ways in which his proportions seem wrong but not immedietely obvious to the average person.

** Anyone starts as one, as any person who contacts them initially assumes they are an internet rumour. [[spoiler:The commision confirms they are real after the Harbor Disaster.]]
* VillainProtagonist: Izuku really just wants to help people. In the process, he has found himself running a criminal organization, supplements his finances with armored car robberies, stole One For All, and accidentally released All For One from prison.

** Izuku still respect heroes and the work they do. Despite being on the other side of the law, he appreciates their role in maintaining order.
** Rokuro seems to be more or less an Anyone fanboy, even though he is in charge of the League of Villains. He also shows strong respect towards [[spoiler:Aizawa for being so courageous even at the face of certain defeat]].

* VoiceWithAnInternetConnection: Nagisa, aka Gwen, one of Izuku's confidants and Anyone's website administrator; she's also a very talented hacker and puts those talents to use for Izuku at times as well. Justified because she has a mutation-quirk that makes her resemble a humanoid spider. Understandably, she doesn't go out much, and intentionally developed a skill-set that lets her work from home.

* WeHelpTheHelpless: The purpose of Anyone as a whole is to help people who can't get help from official channels. Izuku insists on paying them their due - for example pay the lawers they hire for their hours. They also take advantage of Hawks when he tries to inflitrate Anyone - while as a pro-hero this is actually his job, in Anyone many people specifically send him tasks of various severity to ask for help.

* WellIntentionedExtremist: [[spoiler:Nana Smimura tells Izuku that he confuses her, because while the actions of Anyone as a group and their purpose are undoubtedly heroic, the means Izuku uses - stealling One For All, deeply hurting All Might, the crimes - are villainous actions.]]

* WhamEpisode: Chapter Thirty-One. Izuku is lured into a trap by the Hero Commission and is forced into a fight with Shinsou, Gang Orca and Eraserhead. Dabi and Kurogiri attempt a rescue, only for the group to get delayed by Mirio long enough for All Might to arrive. Just as it looks like Izuku is going to be forced into a last stand against the Symbol of Peace, ''All for One'' arrives to "save" him, and Izuku can tell violence between the weakened All Might and his fully rejuvenated nemesis is inevitable.
* WhatTheHellHero: Dabi's ''furious'' when he finds out that Shouto refuses to use his flames, and gets into a fight with him over it, because he sees it as an insult towards anyone who has difficulties with their quirks, like himself and Izuku.
* WhatYouAreInTheDark: Izuku find himself the only person in a position to intervene when [[spoiler:Hawks]], who has just learned an extremely dangerous secret about Anyone and is in a position to reveal it, has his quirk stolen and is about to be killed by All For One. Despite having everything to lose and very little to gain beyond it being the right thing to do, Izuku barely hesitates to square up to All For One and demand the hero's release.

** After the [[spoiler:Harbor Disaster]], a tumblr poster wonders who thought it'd be a good idea to rule a dangerous vigilante in a place with "so much expensive shit".

* AdaptationalBackstoryChange: There are many differences between canon Izuku and Anyone Izuku's backstories. In canon, Izuku lived a normal life with his mom minus the bullying. In Anyone, Izuku and his mom had severe financial problems, and along with an electrocution incident that didn't happen in canon, Izuku was removed from school (now attending online school) while his mother works abroad.
* AdaptationalEarlyAppearance: This trope happens a ''lot''.
** Shouto meets Izuku shortly after his initial encounter with All Might, and by that point they have known each other for an unclarified ammount of time. In canon, Izuku met Shouto ten months after that and they haven't had a proper talk until the sports festival.

** Kurogiri is around from the very beggining intead of appearing during the attack on the USJ. Though here he's not a member of the League of Villains.

** Gang Orca appears before the Summer Camp, as opposed to during the provisional exams.

** Downplayed with Dabi. He's still a villain who wants to take down Endeavor and part of a large villain organization. However, he has standards, is loyal to Anyone and loves his family minus his father, while in canon he would do anything to hurt Endeavor like kill his own brother and doesn't care about the league.

** The premise of the fic is that izuku is now a VillainProtagonist. While he still wants to - and still does - help people, he's a self-admited villain who occasionally resorts to very questionable means (massive property damage, blackmail, theft, etc) to achieve his goals.

* WhiteHairBlackHeart: Izuku dyes his hair white as a disguise (and when it's returned to its normal shade for [[spoiler:his visit to his mother in Dubai]], it's [[PrematurelyGreyHaired noticeably lighter]]) and he's in charge of one of the biggest illegal organizations in Japan - though in this case, he's more [[AntiVillain Grey Hearted]]. All For One plays this a ''lot'' straighter.

* BridalCarry: [[spoiler:Kurogiri wraps Izuku outside the fire perimeter of the UA camp site, and straight into Muscular's arms.]] Izuku is determined to pretend this never happened.

** At one point Kurogiri wraps Hawks into his bar while he and All For One are talking about finding Gigantomachia. They never mention him by name, so Hawks is left with the impression that they're talking about finding a ''cat''.

* MoodWhiplash: [[spoiler:In the middle of the Muscular attempting to kill Kouta, Kurogiri wraps Izuku right above them... resulting in Muscular bridal carrying Izuku. Muscular and Kouta are so stunned that they don't even question Izuku's presence and resort to being polite when he asked where the UA camp site is.]]

* SurprisinglyRealisticOutcome: After being knocked off a building and falling fifteen meters onto a car, Stain stands up and makes the same bold declaration as canon that only All Might is allowed to kill him. He learns while in custody that his actions badly aggravated his injuries and he'll never regain the use of his legs again.

** While the fight against Stain was very similar to the canon one (though after Stain was taken down it devolved into a Gran Torino vs Izuku match), one of the League of Villains member took a video of the entire confrontation and posted it online immedietely afterwards. As a result, the credit of taking down Stain goes to Izuku as oposed to Endeavor.

** [[spoiler:When Nightmare tortures him with his quirk, Izuku sees a hallucination of All Might mocking him and asking if he thought he was really a hero]]. Izuku replies that henever pretended to be a hero.

* ReasonableAuthorityFigure: Aizawa is perfectly correct in reminding Hanabata that Shinsho is falling behind in his classes and that it's necessary he attends and works out if he wants a Hero carreer. However, Shinso's frustration with constatnly being told either that his quirk is villainous or that he needs to work harder than everyone else leads to his interning with the Hero Commision dedspite Aizawa's perfectly reasonable doubts.

* VillainRespect: Izuku still respect heroes and the work they do. Despite being on the other side of the law, he appreciates their role in maintaining order.

* WhoWouldBeStupidEnough: After the [[spoiler:Harbor Disaster]], a tumblr poster wonders who thought it'd be a good idea to rule a dangerous vigilante in a place with "so much expensive shit".

** All For One kills a money launderer by dropping him five times off a skyscraper.

** The League of Villains is made up of the Villain Factory from ''Manga/MeHeroAcademiaVigilantes'' and a few canon members of the League of Villains, minus those who are affiliated with Anyone (All For One, Kurogiri, Dabi, and Mr. Compress), as well as Shigaraki Tomura (who never became a villain).

** Most of the members of the League of Villains were vigilantes in the source material instead of outright villains.

** For the same reason, [[spoiler:Dabi never met All For One prior to joining Anyone.]]

** [[spoiler:Aizawa, Shinso and Gang Orca all find out about All Might's true form after his battle against All For One.]]
* SecretSecretKeeper: Aizawa assumes that Nezu knows who stole Hanabata's car from the UA parking lot during the [[spoiler:Harbor Disaster]]. The thing is, the one who stole it is [[spoiler:Shouto]], so if Aizawa is right that means that [[spoiler:Nezu knows about Shouto's criminal activities.]]

* DidntThinkThisThrough: Hawks made sure that the only way to access his apartment was via the windows so his handlers couldn't bother him. Then [[spoiler:All For One burns his wings]] so Hawks can no longer get to his apartment and has to crash at Dabi's place.

** Bakugou Mitsuki is this towards Katsuki, as she yells and hits him for discipline, and decides him for losing the Sports Festival after announcing that he'd win. Meanwhile, his father Masaru is neglectful, a "ghost" in the house that never tries to stop Mitsuki or interact with his son.

* AngryAnimalisticGrowl: Izuku, on the off-chance someone attempts to steal his coffee. Lampshaded by Shouto who wonders how he's making that noise.

* ArbitraryScepticism: All Might throws the hypothesis that [[spoiler:Izuku stole the second quirk (Black Whip) from All For One.]] Sir Nighteye reminds him that it's impossible [[spoiler:to steal a quick from All For One]], but All Might replies that they thought stealing One For All was also impossible and look where that go them. Then again, All Might's hypothesis is wrong, but he has no way of knowing that.

* BlatantLies: During his internship, Izuku gets so many people who think they have a telekinesis quirk that actually have something else (magnetism, wind, etc) that he eventually asks who told them that and insists he "just wants to talk" to them.

** Shouto is noted by Aizawa and Stain to have a particularly brutal approach to fighting (though Stain only sees the aftermath of his ice quirk). Aizawa attributes this to Shouto being trained by Endeavor, but he still feels that this explanation is lacking.

* IronicEcho: Discussed. After Izuku [[spoiler:unlocks Black Whip]] and immedietely gets issues with it, Shouto asks him if it's too soon to tell him "it's ''your'' Quirk", which is a CallBack to Izuku giving Shouto a similar speech regarding ''his'' Quirk.

* StunnedSilence: Endeavor and his sidekicks' reaction when Shouto one-shots a Nomou (he freezes it to prevent regeneration and then immedietely cuts off its limbs with a street sign). It's implied by the naration that they were shocked by the sheer brutality of the takedown.
