In it, the witch Wilfred Blight managed to find a wishing star and make a wish that all of his descendants would have two extra lives if they suffered any demise other than one brought forth by old age. Now, Amity Blight is on her last life, and seeks out the star in the hopes of restoring what she'd lost with its last wish.

* AllDeathsFinal: The Wishing Star, for all its power, cannot revive the dead once they've passed. Wilfred's wish for two extra lives for every member of his family seems to only work because it keeps the soul from passing on until the body is healed.
* CompositeCharacter: Several Owl House characters get fused with characters from ''The Last Wish'', like Amity with Puss, Luz with Kitty, etc.
* NeverBeHurtAgain: A variant, upon reaching the Star too late to save his wife, Wilfred Blight wished instead for every member of his family, by blood or by marriage, to have two extra lives, allowing them an extra two chances at life if they die from any other fate save old age, so that none of them would suffer the loss he did when his wife died.
