** However, both Chief and Cortana are aware that they can't just give the people of Westeros [=UNSC=] technology, as they have no way to repair or replicate said technology. The only advances they can give them are ones that could be replicated with the relative level of technology aviable to Westeros right now.

Additionally, while he does muse about the [=UNSC=] occupying and uplifting Planetos, he isn't condescending about it. He also treats the Freefolk with respect, even though they are essentially barbarians by ''Plaentos'' standards. WordOfGod is that this comes from the exclusive education he received from Halsey that none of the other Spartans had.

* StoryboardingTheApocalypse: Not so much, but when Eddard asks why not to give gunpowder to the smallfolk, so that they will stop being used as fodder by knights and nobles, Cortana points out what would most likely happen: such a decision would completely negate the one thing that keeps the Seven Kingdoms' society from totally falling apart - the superiority of the noble over the vassal. With gunpowder weapons - relatively easy to make, train for and use, as opposed to the many years required to train crossbowmen and knights - readily available, a noble with enough money could decide to buy himself an army and try to take power by force, other nobles could decide to fight over petty struggles, and large-scale rebellions by common people could take place, which would suddenly leave everyone bereft of the relative protection of the feudal society that they've had for their entire lives, causing great chaos and strong-preying-on-weak anarchy.
