* NiceJobBreakingItHero: After seeing firsthand how Hitoshi's mother treats him, Katsuki immediately decides to take action by [[spoiler:dumping the bridle in front of Aizawa and everyone else present in the dorm's living room at that moment]]. This leads to her losing custody, and Katsuki learning too late that [[spoiler:Hitoshi's father was in prison for giving his mother and other victims schizophrenia]].
* TheNicknamer: Katsuki's natural tendency for this leads to him labeling Hitoshi 'backstreet hooker' after his fighting style. Hitoshi rolls with it:

* TokenGoodTeammate: While none of them are evil, out of the trio, Fumikage is the least ''overtly'' resentful over being typecast, has the most faith in Aizawa, and no real grudges against any of his classmates. This leads to him struggling the most when it comes to embracing the role of assigned antagonist.
