* TheNoseKnows: Feral has a powerful sense of smell ([[SuperSenses in addition to nightvision and several other minor powers]]). Her sense of smell is specifically described as much stronger than a bloodhound's, and is powerful enough to serve as a mild [[TheEmpath empath sense]] and [[LivingLieDetector lie detector]]. It's enough to count as a minor Thinker power.

* ThePowerOfFriendship: One of the centeral themes of Bird is that people are more than their flaws. Taylor's perspective always hints at more under the surface, beyond any violent outbursts, or inability to talk. Her willingness to look past sometimes glaring difficulties and cultivate the good she sees is what gathers her the TrueCompanions her friends all become.

The result is the contrast between an Action Flick and a Psychological Thriller.

Terrible summary

The story contrasts many of the themes in Worm- where there are a series of physical and authoritative threats in Worm, there will be a series of emotional and mental threats in Bird.

Taylor Hebert has just completed her first three months in Alchemilla and is embarking on a trial period mingling with the patient population under the careful mentor-ship of Jessica Yamada. However, it soon becomes apparent that not all is as it seems. The Asylumn is eerie at night, and many of the dangers are not immediately obvious.

While there, she will unravel the mysteries of the patients and their pasts and the intrigues of the staff. There are suspicious characters, corrupt doctors, lonely souls, monsters and the lost.

If she is very lucky, she might escape with her life and sanity.

The story contrasts many of the themes in Worm- where there are a series of physical and authoritative threats in Worm, there will be a series of emotional and mental threats in Bird.
