*** In "Duel In The Dunes", he saves Marucho from drowning in a sand pit. When asked why, Volt responds that Marucho has proven himself as a WorthyOpponent, and as such, he should met his end in battle.
*** He's shocked when Mylene abandons the Vexos' remaining organic Bakugan (her partner Elico and Volt's partner Brontes). Likewise, he's shown to have been similarly disturbed by Zenoheld's scheme to destroy all of the Bakugan, [[MyMasterRightOrWrong but stuck with him out of loyalty.]]
*** [[spoiler: Volt finally leaves the Vexos for good when Zenoheld decides that he wants to destroy ''the entire universe.'' Unfortunately, this leads to his demise at the hands of Hydron.]]

*** [[spoiler: Mylene similarly realized that Zenoheld was a madman, and actually respected Volt's decision to leave, but she stayed anyway just to make sure she was in a comfortable position. When she's defeated for the final time, she ultimately decides to go out on her own terms.]]

** ''New Vestroia'':
*** Volt has multiple moments of this, being the NobleDemon amongst the Vexos:
**** In "Duel In The Dunes", he saves Marucho from drowning in a sand pit. When asked why, Volt responds that Marucho has proven himself as a WorthyOpponent, and as such, he should met his end in battle.
**** He's shocked when Mylene abandons the Vexos' remaining organic Bakugan (her partner Elico and Volt's partner Brontes). Likewise, he's shown to have been similarly disturbed by Zenoheld's scheme to destroy all of the Bakugan, [[MyMasterRightOrWrong but stuck with him out of loyalty.]]
**** [[spoiler: Volt finally leaves the Vexos for good when Zenoheld decides that he wants to destroy the entire universe. Unfortunately, this leads to his demise at the hands of Hydron.]]
*** As for the above point, Zenoheld going off the deep end exposed deeper morals for a lot of his subordinates.
**** [[spoiler: Lync made a HeelFaceTurn not just because he was shocked by Zenoheld's scheme, but also because he realized that it would result in the death of Alice, Lync realizing that he truly does care about her.]]
**** [[spoiler: Mylene similarly realized that Zenoheld was a madman, and actually respected Volt's decision to leave, but she stayed anyway just to make sure she was in a comfortable position. When she's defeated for the final time, she ultimately decides to go out on her own terms.]]
** ''Gundalian Invaders'':
*** [[spoiler: Ren genuinely cared about the lives of his fellow Gundalian agents, continually trying to urge Barodius to show them mercy in spite of their repeated defeats. He spends much of ''Gundalian Invaders'' as an AntiVillain and ultimately betrays Barodius after realizing that the emperor never wanted to help him and Linehalt.]]
*** [[spoiler: [[CoolOldGuy Nurzak,]] despite being loyal to Barodius, was actively disturbed by his growing madness and obsession with the Sacred Orb, realizing that Barodius tampering with it would only spell disaster. He later pulls a HeelFaceTurn as well.]]

* ''Manga/ChainsawMan'': Katana Man from the moment he appeared has been defined by how much he hates Denji, leading to the deaths of multiple members of the Devil Hunter Special Devision as well as civilians, and when he shows up again in part 2 he's not changed a bit, instantly chaging sides the moment another party gives him the chance to get another shot at Denji. However after Denji recovers from [[spoiler:being cut to pieces and is dejectedly searching the burnt out husk of his appartment for any sign of his adoptive little sister Nayuta]], Katana man is noticably quiet despite only a chapter ago immediately kicking Denji in the balls the moment he woke up. And when Asa tries to comfort him by offering to get him food only to immediately refuse because she doesn't like sushi, Katana Man straight up calls her a bitch.

* ''Anime/OddTaxi'': Dobu insists he really didn't have anything to do with the missing girl, though he has no proof to back it up. He also adheres to a sense of pride, which Odokawa believes would prevent him from actually killing a person, but it's left ambiguous if he's right or not.
** In the manga, there's some extra dialog clarifying that one of the reasons he hasn't handed over the taxi recording he got is because he doesn't want his group to think he robbed Odokawa like a thug. Odokawa is confused as to why a criminal organization would have standards like that.
** Dobu's not willing to hurt Kabasawa even despite him leading a viral internet campaign to catch him and even framing him for a crime he didn't commit. While he does extort a bunch of stuff from Kabasawa in exchange, he at least leaves him with some constructive life advice to ensure he doesn't do wind up in such a lethally stupid situation ever again.
** He follows one rule imposed by his boss, Kuroda: "don't kill anyone".

* ''Anime/CometLucifer'':
** Even [[EnfantTerrible Puck]] finds Alfried's obsession with Felia creepy. Or disgusting. Or both. It's hard to tell from facial expression.
** When the Imperial troops interrupt a wedding in episode 6, they don't shoot any of the civilians while searching for Felia. One of them even laments being given that order.

* ''Anime/TigerAndBunny'': Lunatic might be a killer but he only goes after killers of the innocent-and thoroughly researches his marks before acting, lest he kills an innocent himself. When confronted by a man who was obviously innocent of the crimes leveled against him, Lunatic acts to save him instead. He also refuses to kill anyone who is innocent in his eyes.
