Thankfully, it leaves the protagonist alone.

* In ''Fanfic/SonicExe'' and [[WebOriginal/SonicExeRemake the Remake]], X himself is this. According to his [[AllThereInTheManual official backstory]], he was created in the gap between dimensions and had originally did not have an appearance resembling Sonic himself. He's omnipotent within his home world, to the point where he can make his world seem a lot like Sonic's at first glance just to give his victims a sense of false security. And the Sonic characters that X kills? [[AndIMustScream Those are actually his previous victims, trapped in the bodies of Sonic characters and forced to be his "slaves"]] (all the while they're being killed in-"game" in very gruesome manners just to play with future victims before he steals their souls).

According to the creepypasta, Hasshaku-sama is a woman who is perceived differently by everyone who sees her with the only consistent traits being her abnormal height, hence her name: Ms. Eight-feet-tall, and her [[EvilLaugh inhuman laugh]], a deep, uncanny "po, po, po" sound... At first she comes across as some kind of {{youkai}}, but her description and behavior defies her being one. The [[SuperPersistentPredator absolute relentlessness in her pursuit of her victims]] is most of all akin to the grudge of an [[StringyHairedGhostGirl Onryou]], but there's no indications that she's dead ''or'' holding a grudge. It's explained in the backstory of the creepypasta that [[BadassPreacher a group of monks]] attempted to confront her but could neither {{seal|edEvilInACan}}, exorcise ''or'' kill her, and so were forced to merely contain her within the confines of a village using four Buddha statues as cornerstones of a barrier. She can also [[ParanoiaFuel imitate the voices of her victim's loved ones]], which makes her primarily [[WouldHurtAChild target children]] who are reliant on their older family members, and she is [[InvisibleToNormals invisible to all but her chosen victims]].

Tommy Taffy goes away after a period of five years or so, but [[HereWeGoAgain returns once the children he lived with have their own children]]. He also has a number of supernatural powers, like the ability to be in multiple places at once and to return from the dead.
