* Sheldon Cooper. Somewhat understandable in that he's a protagonist of the series and one of the most eccentric ManChild characters on the show, making him both entertaining and vulnerable in different scenarios. However, to go to TheBigBangTheory page (especially in the JBM section) is to fight through a sea of people identifying his intentions as always good and his Fanon Asperger's syndrome as an excuse to cover his every misdeed. It's almost astonishing that people can watch the show and his constant belittling and condescension toward others, complete self-centredness and controlling and ritualistic behavior and still consider him sweet and victimized by Leonard, who in Canon is remarkably more tolerant and considerate of Sheldon's needs than the fandom gives him credit for.

In fan fiction, he's usually not portrayed as the murderous psychopath he is (he wiped out a whole portion of the universe!), but as just a mischievous, quirky, sexy guy who just wants to have some FoeYay with the Doctor.

Gang-rape, terrorizing a blind woman and beating his teenage daughter´s friends without any provocation (and still not being in jail for it!) haven't stopped him from becoming favorite among some aggressively protective "He´s so hot!" fans. It is very much case of Perverse Sexual Lust.

**** You don't have to consider Dukat's relationship with Kira's mom, you just have to remember that a few decades ago, Dukat was in command of the Bajor Occupation and ordering the deaths of hundreds of people- yeah, he may have been less brutal than someone like Gul Darheel, but that's not saying much. And then you just have to remember that afterwards, he refuses to admit any wrongdoing ("possibly overly harsh" is how he'd put it) and that he's flirting with and seeking the approval of people like Major Kira, who lived under his reign, because Dukat's ego won't let him see how someone might possibly dislike him. So, Dukat has his moments of badassery and heroism, but he also has serious flaws that he just will not apologize for, and an arrogance that lets him do as he pleases.

** Let's see, to Marian alone he's coerced her into an engagement she didn't want, tried to marry her under false pretences, burnt her house to the ground when she didn't comply, mocked Robin with innuendoes about what he's going to do to Marian once they're married, punched her father in the face right in front of her, threatened her in the privacy of her own bedroom, thrown money at her and told her to "fetch" (a handy way of calling a woman a whore and a bitch at the same time), lied to her about his involvement in an assassination attempt on the King, and dragged her all the way to the Holy Land in chains. When she's finally had enough of all this bull-shit and tells him to piss off once and for all, he responds by stabbing her to death with a giant sword. And people still ship them.
