to:

* WrestlerOfBeasts: Michael Wall single-handedly defeated Snowball when the Tekken Force kidnapped Genzai.Genzai.
!Characters:

--> TheHero. Child of Nara Chang and Yaji Mishima, he was raised in America for most of his youth, but was kidnapped 3 years ago when the Tekken Force raided the Changs' home.
!!!Tropes associated with Genzai:
* TheHero
* WellIntentionedExtremist: He doesn't want people to be kidnapped like him, so his goal in the tournament is... to Patricide kill Yaji and steal the Mishima Zaibatsu from him.
* WhiteSheep: Unlike the other Mishimas, he is, well-meaning.

--> A ninja girl on a mission to sabotage the Mishima Zaibatsu. She was tasked by her clan to prevent Jesse Gould from entering contact with Yaji.
!!!Tropes associated with Satsuki:
* FlashStep: She has a command dash that will phase through the opponent and place her behind them.

--> An American businessman's heir, Zack is also a martial arts champion. After winning a US-only championship, he was assaulted and challenged to settle the grudge.
!!!Tropes associated with Zack:
* ArrogantKungFuGuy: He frequently taunts his opponents, and has the skills to back it up.
* FightingClown: He's a bit of a flashy show-off.
* PlayingWithFire: His ki not only takes a fiery shape, but sometimes ignites on its own.
* Shotoclone: Alluded to. He even has a move called Hado Kick that serves as his equivalent to a fireball (though it is only a kick that produces explosive ki), has a Shoryuken, though the invulnerability is limited to his technical jump status and low hurtbox of the move. His hopkick can even be thought of as a HurricaneKick, as it moves forward a lot.
* SpoiledBrat: He was this in his youth, but his parents set him straight after they adopted Martin as a rival to him.

--> A MaskedLuchador who enters the tournament.
!!!Tropes associated with El Draco:
* FragileSpeedster: He's a momentum machine with his running speed and throws, but doesn't have a lot of defensive moves.
* MaskedLuchador

--> An old master who was a friend of the Hachijo clan. However, after he left the clan to focus on training students, the Hachijo Clan has sent various assassins to attempt to kill him.
!!!Tropes associated with Roy:
* HeKnowsTooMuch: A reason the Hachijos are after him is because he has learned much about the clan over his stay. His rival is Reiko, the Hachijo assassin currently after his head.
* OldMaster

--> A girl from the Kazama clan, with the ability to purify evil. Her powers are extremely underdeveloped, and as such she developed an inferiority complex about her abilities. Frustrated with Aikido also being a poor choice of fighting style as far as lastingly disabling someone goes, she has put an aggressive spin on the style and left the clan.
!!!Tropes associated with Kaguya:
* EvilCounterpart: To any Kazama clan representatives in the real Tekken. Kaguya's underdeveloped powers mean she is okay to disable evil powers by killing the holder, an idea completely opposite to the usual fare of the Kazama clan.

--> Genzai's pet polar bear.
!!!Tropes associated with Snowball:
* DarkerAndEdgier: Unlike Kuma, Snowball has little in the way of comedic moves, and uses his ferocious brute force.
* LightningBruiser: As befits a bear, Snowball hits harder, at longer range (for his punches, his kicks have awful range), while also dashing and running faster.

--> An Arab heir to a fortune, and a minority shareholder of a Swedish enterprise. He enters to check out.
!!!Tropes associated with Waleed:
* FightingClown: He looks like he's geared for a nightclub more than a fighting tournament, and for the most part doesn't take fighting all that seriously.
* LethalJokeCharacter: While his generic moves are weaker than other characters', his lows are good enough that you must keep ducking him, unlike any other character in the game.
* PerpetualSmiler
* SunglassesAtNight: He wears sunglasses with bright blue lenses.

--> A pro wrestler who hides his face behind an iron mask. His popularity outside of wrestling led to clamor that he enter the King of Iron Fist, and so he is.
!!!Tropes associated with Iron Tiger:
* ProWrestlingIsReal: Played with: He uses pro wrestling moves, yes, but he deliberately doesn't keep his opponents safe this time.
* UseYourHead: He will use his iron mask as a weapon in some throws.

--> Genzai's mother. Shell-shocked by the attack on her house by the Tekken Force 3 years ago, she is stopping at nothing
!!!Tropes associated with Nara:
* ActionMom: A negative example. Nara is spurred into action by her son's kidnapping, but her morality has taken a huge dip because of it.
* MamaBear
* TheUnfettered: There is nothing she won't do to get Genzai back from Yaji's clutches. She has held Sal hostage in an attempt to force Yaji's hand.

--> Zack's adopted brother, he has history with the Mishima Zaibatsu. Yaji's former adopted son, who left the Mishima family at age 18 to pursue his rivalry with Zack. Keeping an eye on the Zaibatsu, he is entering the tournament to free the kidnapped Genzai.
!!!Tropes associated with Martin:
* TheAce: He has an acute business sense, is a world-class fighter, and none of that has any impact on his physical grace.
* BigGood: He is basically the one constant enemy to the Mishima Zaibatsu.
* CampStraight
* DeadpanSnarker: He reacts with mildly amused quips to even serious threats by other characters.
* TheFightingNarcissist
* GeniusBruiser: He took to business like a fish to water to the point he's basically the CEO of the Stuart family enterprise in all but name, and also a world-class fighter.

--> The heir to a floundering business, he was put in charge out of the blue, and seeks a merger with the Mishima Zaibatsu to not have to declare bankruptcy.
!!!Tropes associated with Jesse:
* ConfusionFu: His fighting style needs this to be effective, with mixing up his two powerful moves.
* HairTriggerTemper: And it's not just due to his stressful situation — Jesse was getting into scraps as early as grade school and never stopped until he was put behind the desk.
* HotBlooded
* StreetSmart: He is a poor businessman, but looks much more like a "normal" person.
* UnknownRival: In terms of business, to the Stuarts. Due to being almost broke, Jesse can't be a business rival to them, but utterly loathes them.

--> A former pro wrestler turned one-man paramilitary, he has sights on the King of Iron Fist Tournament, and assaults Zack Stuart to goad him into entering as well.
!!!Tropes associated with Declan:
* AmbiguousDisorder: No paramilitary firm would accept him for his near-psychotic behavior.
* AxCrazy: He's regarded as a clear danger to anyone nearby.
* BloodKnight: He's only in anything for the fighting itself.
* CloudCuckooLander
* CombatPragmatist: He has a plethora of dirty fighting moves.
* DeadpanSnarker: For all out-there he supposedly is, he has the occasional deadpan jabby reaction to a MotiveRant.
* Determinator: Alluded to by the FinalBoss, who notices how he's raring to go even though he just went through the Justice Fist tournament.
* ForTheLulz: Declan assaulted Zack after a tournament victory and challenged him to a grudge match at the King of Iron Fist Tournament because...
---> "Can't hurt to make it more interestin'."
* InTheHood: His default attire has a hoodie.
* PermaStubble
* WildCard: Nobody can truly pin his allegiance down.

--> A Chinese Mafia ringleader.
!!!Tropes associated with Gang:
* MeaningfulName: Gang is a gangster.

--> Yaji's first wife, and holder of the Devil Gene.
!!!Tropes associated with Reiko:
* EvilCounterpart: To Kazumi, who she is based on. She has no feelings left for Yaji, though she is mostly in it to clean up the mess she left behind with her short-lived marriage with him. However, she is still out to murder Roy with no compunctions whatsoever.
* PintSizedPowerhouse: Tied with Kaguya for smallest character in the game. Unlike her, she has strong power moves.

--> Yaji's first child with Reiko.
!!!Tropes associated with Reiji:
* EvilCounterpart: Not only to his rival Kaguya, but to his half-brother Genzai. While both have morally-lacking parents on both sides and moral failings themselves, Reiko is much more willing to kill than Nara (who would not turn to the actions she did if Genzai wasn't kidnapped), and their similar plans to steal the Mishima Zaibatsu are for completely different ends (Genzai wants to clear it of its corruption so nobody is kidnapped like him, Reiji is only in it to spite his father).

--> A "Marshall" in the Tekken Force, which is practically a special grade just for him that grants him the right to act independently. He holds a fierce loyalty to Yaji, and led the attack on Nara's home, single-handedly taking down Snowball.
!!!Tropes associated with Michael:
* CompositeCharacter: Combines elements from Paul, Law, and Lars.
* WrestlerOfBeasts: Took down Snowball by himself to allow his soldiers to proceed.

--> The son of a Swedish tournament organizer, he enters to free his father from the Mishima Zaibatsu's corporate pressure.
!!!Tropes associated with Wilhelm:
* ArrogantKungFuGuy: He takes pride in his fighting talent, sometimes a little much.
* BadassArmFold
* RedBaron: Some know him as "The Swede Devil", stemming from his absolute focus and frozen scowl in combat. Nothing to do with the Devil Gene.
* ShockAndAwe: Like the Mishimas from VideoGame/Tekken, Wilhelm has electric effects on some attacks... but that's just the form his ki takes.
* TheStoic: Wilhelm is extremely serious and focused.

--> A robot made in Iron Tiger's likeness by the Mishima Zaibatsu. Yaji enters it in the King of Iron Fist to test its strength, AI, and loyalty.
!!!Tropes associated with Silver Tiger:
* RidiculouslyHumanRobot: Silver Tiger's movements are extremely fluid and humanlike, for a robot.

--> The daughter of a Mishima Zaibatsu minority shareholder and a former classmate of Genzai's, she was taken hostage by Nara in a vain attempt at getting Yaji to relinquish Genzai. Ever since, she has taken self-defense and other fighting classes since.
!!!Tropes associated with Sal:
* CombatPragmatist: Sal will hit below the belt. Her SignatureMove is a grab that drives the opponent crotch-first into her knee.

--> A powerful American businessman. Many people should be after his help, but since he's a GuestFighter, ain't nobody got time for that.
!!!Tropes associated with Teis:
* AffectionateParody: He's a pastiche of Geese Howard.
* BigLippedAlligatorMoment: A living one.
* GuestFighter: A knockoff of one, parodying Geese's inclusion in *Tekken 7*.

--> The owner of the Mishima Zaibatsu.
!!!Tropes associated with Yaji:
* BigBad: He is responsible for a lot of the bad things happening in the series.
* VillainWithGoodPublicity: The Mishima Zaibatsu is seen as a benign threat at best by all characters not named Nara. It's Yaji that's the problem, but since he only used the Tekken Force for personal ends once and otherwise refuses contracts from clients he perceives as shady.

* EvilCounterpart: The cast is structured à la Tekken 2, with each character having their assigned sub-boss. They usually share little, though.

* ProtagonistTitle: The reason this is titled GX is the G standing for TheHero, Genzai.

to:

* ExtremityExtremist: Absent. Even though Snowball's kick buttons are largely weaker than his punch buttons (being a bear), he still has only slightly less kicks than punches.
* TheFaceless: Even though they wear masks, Satsuki and El Draco's faces are still visible. Only Iron Tiger truly hides his face under that iron tiger mask.
* FantasticFightingStyle: Mishima Karate, Strong-fist-style Assassination Arts
* FemaleAngelMaleDemon: No female angel in sight, though Kaguya has heavy fallen angel motifs. However, Devil is still here, and a male.
* GrappleMove: As present as ever, if not more, considering more than a few characters have grapples as an important part of their gameplay.
* HeroAntagonist: Nara's sub-boss is Sal Meredy... a girl who Genzai had an interest in, and Nara kidnapped to threaten her politically-affluent father and Yaji by proxy. Sal is happy to have some revenge, but her primary motivation is to find Genzai.
* LauncherMove: Significantly less important, as juggle combos are more heavily scaled.
* MeaningfulName
** "El Draco" is unsurprisingly a dragon-themed luchador.
** Like Kazuya before him, Reiji is named with one kanji from his mother's name and one from his father's.
* MovesetClone: Partial. Some characters share attacks, usually linked by lore.
* Ninja: Satsuki. She's even on a secret mission from her clan.
* NotJustATournament: Even Yaji has his own personal purposes behind hosting the tournament. But every entrant also has ulterior purposes in entering it.
* OneWingedAngel: Secret boss Devil is Reiji's Devil form.
* ProtagonistTitle: The reason this is titled GX is the G standing for TheHero, Genzai.
* PunchKickLayout
* Revenge: A prominent narrative that is the primary goal of many a character.
* TheRival: As in the early-installment Tekkens, each character has an assigned one. May other rivalries exist however, for one, Reiko is Roy's assigned rival, and yet she is also here to kill her former husband Yaji, and possibly her son Reiji too.
* SharedSignatureMove: All Mishima Karate users (Yaji, Reiji, and Genzai) can use the Electric Wind God Fist.
* SNKBoss:
** Yaji has a lot of hard-hitting attacks, but as a boss, he has clean hit properties on his Electric Wind God Fist, Thunder God Fist, and Iron Fist for some reason, which kicks his damage through the roof.
** Devil is a secret boss, and as hard as Yaji.
* SomeDexterityRequired: Defied.
* SpinningOutOfHere: Satsuki's backdash spins for some reason.
* SuperpoweredEvilSide: Evil**er**, as Reiji is already plenty evil, but he might be that little bit worse as Devil.
* UseYourHead: The Mishima's signature GrappleMove Stonehead is here.
* TheVoiceless: Iron Tiger and Silver Tiger.
* WellDoneSonGuy: Genzai.
* WrestlerOfBeasts: Michael Wall single-handedly defeated Snowball when the Tekken Force kidnapped
Genzai.

A VideoGame/Tekken AlternateUniverse by @/Wax.
Many characters are twists on the regular Tekken characters, but the premise is the same: the King of Iron Fist Tournament is organized by the Mishima Zaibatsu with the title of WorldsStrongestMan and 1,000,000,000 $ as the prize.
However, many have personal reasons to enter the tournament...

! Tropes associated with TEKKEN GX:
* AbusiveParents: Like Heihachi, Yaji is the same. Long after his divorce, he kidnaps his own son.
* ActionMom: Nara knows Genzai was kidnapped, and she wants to reclaim her son from Yaji by force.
* AnimeHair: The Mishima trademark is still here.
* BadassFamily: The Mishima are still around, and so are the Hachijo.
* BearsAreBadNews: There is also a bear: Genzai's pet polar bear cub Snowball.
* BlockingStopsAllDamage: Not this time, a minor amount of damage is dealt as chip damage, as in Tekken 1 or 2.
* BruceLeeClone: Michael Wall, though he gives a heavy military-look twist to the tropes and abandons the FunnyBruceLeeNoises.
* CallingTheOldManOut: Genzai's goal is doing this to Yaji, but he is biding his time.
* TheCasanova: Yaji had many wives. The first being Reiko and the second Nara.
* CorruptCorporateExecutive: Yaji double-subverts the trope. The Mishima Zaibatsu is a large-scale paramilitary contractor, but Yaji refuses the contracts he identifies as exceedingly unscupulous. That doesn't stop him from employing them for his own dark ambitions, like kidnapping Genzai.
* Expy: A cast almost full of them.
* ProtagonistTitle: The reason this is titled GX is the G standing for TheHero, Genzai.
