R. Talsorian Games was founded by Mike Pondsmith in 1985 to publish a second edition of his {{mecha}}-anime ''TabletopGame/{{Mekton}}''.

R. Talsorian announced with Hero Games in 1996 that they were entering a partnership where R. Talsorian would publish and distribute Hero games. Eventually they would combine their two game systems to create ''TabletopGame/{{Fuzion}}''.
